I feel like these McDonald's locations in Cary, NC are scammers. So, I tried a new location today and they upcharged me for a sweet tea. I have never been up charged for tea, but here we are, paying for something that was standard before. I could barely understand the person taking the order, which made it frustrating when I had questions because we couldn't communicate properly. The order came out quick, and the Big Mac was pretty good according to my son. The fries were hot and salted just enough. I would say, outside of the nickel and dime up charging (which feels like a racket) this visit was decent. Not going back anytime soon though. read more

I drove out to this location because they were open "24 hours". Someone was in the drive thru when I pulled up. They told me I couldn't order anything for 20 minutes because they were "switching to breakfast". It's not even 4am. I live less than 2 miles from this location and visit often. The staff here has always been so kind and uplifting when I need it! While the food is standard for McDonalds, they've consistently had our order ready and hot for pickup on time. Every now and then they miss a sauce packet, but I've never been to a location that doesn't. If they do miss something or mess up an item, they're quick to fix the issue with a smile. I regret not asking their names but there are two employees that bring out curbside often that genuinely feel like they're happy to serve and add a smile to my day. I placed a mobile order at 10:10 and my husband went to pick it up and was there before they stop serving breakfast and our order wasn't ready yet. I looked at my order and it was now 10:35 and it said they canceled my order . What the hell do you mean you canceled my order?? My husband said no one would help him and left even more pissed off. Places like this are always hit or miss and I don't stop often. Tonight I had no desire to cook when I got home so placed and order online. Had to wait for it after I got to the store, which is fine. However the French fry packet was pretty darn sparse, I definitely felt gyped when I got my bag! What's wrong with a place they can't make sure you get the correct serving size? I only ordered a small and the bag was only half full if that even. Pretty pathetic for the price you pay. Also my fries were out of the bag itself and scattered all around the rest of the food. Up until now though, I was never blown away quite like I was today. We pull into the parking lot, covered spacers. Ryan H's milli dollar accord was safe. First tears shed of the adventure. We walk into the french doors, and are greeted by a luxurious dining hall. Comfy seats, big chairs, and private dining. Kiosks, just fantastic. Once ordered, I heard my name sweetly sung to me, letting me know my order was ready. The big mac was cooked to perfection, the fries, a perfect crisp, and my diet coke, refreshing. Me and the boys privately dined, and enjoyed ourselves private but lively cafe. Would I return? Let me ask you, would cavemen eat gazelle, would, Neal Armstrong go back to the moon? Confirmed that she got the light ice part which she said that she did. Line moved ok. Got my receipt after paying and it didn't say light ice. Got up to the second window and of course the tea was 80% ice so I mentioned to the young man who was very accommodating. Pulled off and got to the next stop 12:09. Fries cold and brown not to mention half filled up. Cheeseburgers had the special paper yet only 2 pickles on each. Last time I give this location my money. I see why they are two stars. read more

I came in here this morning to get some pancakes. I don't eat McDonald's all that much, but I was impressed with this establishment. They have automated machines for ordering, as well as a cashier. After placing my order I was given a stand with a number to take to my table. A friendly lady brought my food out to me and later another person came by to ask how my order was. I spotted someone cleaning tables and mopping, I always hate when stuff is dirty, so this was a plus. Restaurant had some comfy seating options as well. About 30 minutes ago I had no clue this McDonald's existed. I pull up and see a covered spot, (I MEAN A COVERED SPOT AT MCDONALDS; Phenomenal). I walk in, OH. MY. GOSH. the greatest McDonalds I've ever seen. I didn't know if I was in Cary, or on a different planet. I walk in, everything spot clean, kiosk works amazingly. Then. Then my NAME is called out and they make me the most full and amazing Ice cream cone I have ever seen. Then I go sit in the private room with my buds, impeccable. I am so pleased with this experience. I will definitely leave 5 stars and tell the world that this is the greatest McDonalds ever. I may even tell my Grandma. I am so happy to be able to transcend into this McDonald's. Thank you so much for this experience. I feel like I am a new man. read more

I came through around 3:30am to pick up two DoorDash orders. The lobby was closed, so I entered the drive thru. After approximately five minutes, I pulled around to the second window where I noticed one lady working behind the counter. I waited for several more minutes then called the store. The man that answered confirmed the lobby was closed, and his frustration became obvious after I told him I was there for two DoorDash orders. He directed me to pull back around to the "delivery window [I] past to get in the drive thru." It wasn't because of laziness that I passed the delivery window initially. I've never been to a McDonalds that had a walk-up delivery window. I wasn't expecting it. I passed right by it.. He said the walk-up window has a large sign indicating it's for deliveries. He told me, "you can't miss it." There's literally no signage indicating that there's even a window, much less instructing delivery drivers where to go or what to do. After walking up to the door, I noticed the sliding window -- again, devoid of any signage indicating its purpose. Again, I waited. After several minutes, i called back to let them know I was there at the window. At the same time, I noticed the doorbell, also lacking signage, which rings up the staff inside. While on the phone with the man, I pressed the button. At no point during this encounter did I even begin to exhibit frustration, but I heard the lady in the background saying, "he better not be complaining. He better not say he's been waiting. He just now rang the bell." As she walked toward the window, I thanked the man for his help and hung up. She swung the window open and demanded the names of the two orders. I politely gave them to her. Then, instead of walking back to retrieve them, she asked me why I was complaining and rushing them when I had only just arrived. I explained the situation, that I had actually arrived several minutes prior, and added that I had not complained at all. She literally snarled at me and replied, "Oh. Well he made it seem like you were." She walked off to prepare the orders, which evidently had not been started. Roughly 10 minutes later (and I'm being gracious with that estimate) she returned with the orders. I arrived to this McDonalds several minutes early. However, I left almost 15 minutes late. I notified the customer of the reason for the delay, and I would strongly recommend all customers choose another location, especially if you're placing an order after the lobby closes for the day. Why offer table service? The past two times I have stopped into this McDonalds I have used the mobile app to order from my table. Both times they just call my order number. Fortunately the first time I heard them and was able to go up and grab my food. The second time I did not and I waited 15 min. By the time I went to the counter my food was just sitting there waiting. Of course it was cold. When I inquired as to why they do not deliver to the table they replied "we did not see it was a table service". The sticky ticket on my tray had the table number really big. Not my order number. At the drive thru I spoke directly with the manager asking him for ketchup, he even confirmed what I was asking for and said okay but he still did not put it in my bag. I come to this place after ordering via the app (Mobile order). 2 am, first words out the intercom is "we're only taking cash" I stated I have a mobile order (because it would seem they always only taking cash) I was told to come back in 15 minutes the system is down. I really wanted a coffee and there wasn't much around. I remembered hearing a commercial for specialty coffees and decided to give it a try. I walked in and saw an ordering kiosk. I figured that was safe because I could be sure of my order and there could be no misunderstanding. I was shocked when my specialty drink was $2. I go to several McDonald's and always order a large vanilla iced coffee. I don't typically go to this location because every time i do I get an inconsistent barely drinkable iced coffee- if you can call it that. Every other location seems to use the same portions and has a fairly consistent taste except this McDonald's. Today it was all vanilla flavoring barely any coffee and yesterday I was charged for the same vanilla iced coffee and it was all coffee and very little if any vanilla. I tried to give this location another shot but was disappointed. 11/23/18 Update Stopped for a large coffee and 2 breakfast burritos. Had to repeat multiple times how many cream and sugar even though it was correct on the screen which was ok since he seemed to have gotten it correct but annoying since it was on the screen. Coffee is very watery today but not the end of the world. Worse I received 1 burrito not to and the 1 I did get was ice cold through and through. The guy at the counter was so distracted messing around with a coworker in the back that on top of not checking the food he also forgot to give me my credit card back and I had to mention it 2 times because the 1st time he was listening and just replied have a good morning.
