From the staff and service to the speed of delivery this McDonald's did a great job. We were greeted kindly even though the line was long and our orders were quick and correct which is awesome. Came here for lunch today and thought it was OK. The food was prepared super quickly and everything looked clean inside. I can't say anything tasted incredibly fresh, but it was solid enough for McDonald's. I wanted to ask for some extra sauce but there were no employees anywhere to be seen, unfortunately. I rarely leave reviews, but my recent experience at this McDonald's left me genuinely frustrated. After waiting in the drive-through line for over 10 minutes, I ordered a simple large sweet tea with light ice. The person taking my order confirmed it and gave me a total, directing me to the second window. When I arrived at the second window, the employee seemed unaware of my order entirely. Instead, he asked if I had a completely different one (including a milkshake and chicken strips). I explained that I only ordered a sweet tea. He responded that he never received the order and asked if I wanted him to ring it up--of course I did. Then, almost immediately, he told me they were out of sweet tea. There was no sign, no heads-up when I ordered, no attempt to explain or offer an alternative. After waiting in line for so long for a single item, it was incredibly frustrating to be met with confusion, poor communication, and a total lack of customer service. This location seriously needs to improve communication between staff, better manage inventory updates, and offer clearer direction to customers when items are unavailable. Service people were great. That's the only reason for the second star. Went through the drive through 3 times to get my correct order. A bacon quarter pounder with cheese. 1st time I got a double quarter pounder with nothing else on it. Meat and bread. 2nd time I was initially handed another customer's much larger order. Didn't even need to check it since it was 2 bags and I only ordered a single burger. Then they handed me baconless qpc. After going back the 3rd time the drive thru guy said his manager asked for the previous orders back. As if it would be legal to serve them to another customer. As McDonald's go this one was okay. Ordered a double cheeseburger and a drink. Both tasted fine, it just took live than I expected to get my food, but t was lunchtime. By far the worst McDonald's I've ever been to the workers always have this weird attitude almost like they hate their jobs. They're so rude. When you ask for something to be freshly made, they do not make it freshly they hand you the bag and when you tell them, I asked for this to be freshly made. They argue you down and try to tell you that it is made fresh and then when you taste it it taste like day old fries that aren't even hot and please don't ask for the sauce that you ordered at though intercom and that they forgot to put it in the bag their attitudes go from 0 to 100 immediately even though I've paid for them at that point I've only had one good experience with a black young lady there not sure if she's still working there, but she was the only one who was nice and did what she was supposed to do. The manager is rude, and employees are rude period. This is the worst McDonald's in Cary. The manager refused to speak to me when I asked for help. When we got home the order was incorrect and the food was cold. I wanted to speak with the manager because I watched as half our order sat on the counter because they forgot to drop the frys for our order. With all that's going on in the world I honestly don't want to give any negative reviews but I can't avoid it with this horribly run location for McDonalds. I get it, it's a pandemic and it's challenging to find workers, however to me, that would mean to make sure those I do hire provide the best service and ESPECIALLY that they are following safety protocols. I pull up the window, the lady at the register had her mask all way down with her nose (and nose ring) and half her mouth fully exposed.. just breathing and talking loudly to her co-workers all over ours and the other customers food. She takes my card with her bare hands, doesn't disinfect at all, and proceeds to touching our drinks, placing the tops on them, basically unmasked and not washing or disinfecting her hands as she touches the cash register, my card, and our drinks and food. I'm grossed out but don't want a confrontation so I don't say anything. I'm seriously contemplating just throwing it all away when we pull away. I ask her if we have everything... so hesitates, and says "yup!" I drive off. Get home & my girls Happy Meal drinks are not here. No sauce for their nuggets. I had to transfer all the food to other plates and containers, and wash my hands to try to avoid the disgusting germs I watched her spew all over the bags and cups. It's really a shame. I honestly feel it's unsafe to eat here and the order will likely be wrong and quality low. The fries were also old. One of my 11 year old twins said her fries were gross and that she no longer wants to eat McDonalds at all. She used to get excited about going there as a treat. Then today was waiting for food when a guy asked for his water cup(which he got on the machine and showed it was free), and the manager said "no I don't give free cups for water. I charge. Drive thru pick up assigned to "Reserved #2" spot. My first time there so I didn't know that there are "Curbside pickup #2" AND "Reserved #2" spot. So when I saw #2, i just parked there (Curbside pickup #2). When the delivery woman gave me my order, she dismissively said "You're funny", like not in a good way, for parking in a wrong spot. I saw several people made the same mistake as me though. Then I found out it's missing 1 mcmuffin. So i went back to drive thru. First window girl was very polite. Second window girl looked to be very uninterested to be there and casually said wait in "Reserved #2". Now, I parked in the right spot. The same delivery woman approached my car and said "Now what are you doing here?" I said "I have 1 missing mcmuffin". She said "Well, nobody said anything to me". She went back and came back with my mcmuffin, and said: "Next time if you miss an order, don't go through MY drive thru and just park here. You need to go to Window #2 first." I said I did go to window #2. She said "No, that was the first time." I said "Yes, I did go to Window 1, window 2, and then window 2 asked me to park here. Otherwise, how would I know where to park and wait?" She just dismissed me with her hands and walked away. Total spend there to get my complete order was 45 minutes with complementary attitude from delivery woman. Lecturing me for parking in a wrong spot , but hey look.. who made a mistake and missed an order?? Don't say sorry at all for the missing order, and instead gaslighting me about not going to the windows first? Do you think I just parked there and WISHED somebody realized I missed an order and gave it to me?
