Not to be confused with MapDonald's, which is a place that sells fast food maps of the area. The Massachusetts Turnpike is expensive and can be really annoying, like Barbie then on both counts. Gas prices at the rest plazas are sky-high and so are the food prices. You won't find regular McDonald's prices at this little rest stop in Charlton. Indeed, you will find costs are jacked up and the service is usually bad because it doesn't have to be good because they're going to sell a lot of stuff anyway. Food quality isn't great but it never really is at McDonald's these days - still if you're looking for piping hot McDonald's food this rest stop probably won't provide it. read more

This is a McDonald's on i90 at a rest stop. We stopped at the rest stop to use a game that you play and gives you rubber ducks. A McDonald's employee walked by and engaged us passive aggressively and started telling us the machines should be unplugged and proceeded to unplug one while we were using it. And reminded us we are wasting our money. Very rude. We love the ducks. But no reason to come over and be so rude. Thank you McDonald's! read more

This McDonald's is in the westbound service plaza on the Massachusetts Turnpike. It was snowing heavily and so there wasn't a tremendous amount of traffic here. Nonetheless, a quick coffee for the road was in order and here we are. Service was good and the coffee was the usual super hot until I asked them to put a few ice cubes in there. The crew seemed a little busy with chatter but there weren't that many customers to take care of. read more

Like most fast food places, this McDonalds is getting its butt kicked in these reviews. I am amazed at the coincidence that so many places I go into have been the worst experience ever for reviewers. This is thankless work in a crazy-busy atmosphere and I take 'em as I find 'em. The McCafe section was closed and the menu unclear, so I wasn't sure we could even get hot coffee, which was all we wanted. But it was fine. Pretty much you only stop here if you are on the Pike, need a bladder break, and then decide to grab a beverage/snack They have separate counters - McD's at one McD's cafe at another. I just got coffee at the cafe. The cafe seemed to sell all beverages and muffins. The lines were a lot shorter at the cafe. read more

I drive by this every day and only stop if I'm starving...rarely, at that. Prepare for your order to be wrong every single time if you drive through. This has been happening for five years. I've just given into the idea that sometimes my meal won't have a hash brown, or will have a biscuit instead of an English muffin. Once there were were told that it would be 10 minutes to TAKE our order. Now we are talking 25 minutes just to be able to TAKE the order. The Server asked "do you still want to wait?" Hands down. Worst McDonalds experience I have ever had. Actually worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Took 32 mins for us to get our order in the D-T (took 21 mins before we could order). Could not leave D-T because of curb. I actually called the manager 18 minutes into our wait and talked to her to give her a courtesy heads up that D-T was so slow. Nice, but didnt care that we were all waiting so long. Didn't know how to accept rewards code, no chicken sandwiches of any kind, no ice cream or other desserts. Only choices were hamb, cheeseburger, Big Mac, and quarter pounder. 16.02 for 2A and a gambier ketchup only. Sixteen dollars for a 32 min wait, soggy limp fries, and a 1/4 pounders that I had to scrape salt off of (and had a dry, stale, crumbled bun). To top it off, most staff had masks, but down around there chin. I saw three staff with proper masks, most others were in various state of hanging off their faces. I walked up to the counter and set a timer on my phone because the kid working the counter didn't even acknowledge me. He was too busy listening to music loudly with offense language not appropriate to be played on a public place including the "n" word. After finally acknowledging me while I was the only person in line for over 3 and a half minutes. I asked for a breakfast item as many McDonald's locations serve breakfast all day and night and not even looking at me he just shook his head and said nothing at all until I asked him "no?" All he said was "only beef" someone behind me said "they don't even have French fries right now". This has to be the most ludicrous experience I've ever had at a McDonald's and that's saying a lot since I don't expect much other than some sort of food. You're better off buying bread from the gas station attached and scooping up some dirt outside because eating that would be significantly better than even thinking about getting service from this location. Whoever the person working the counter April 15th at 2:30am caused me to walk away hungry due to his poor performance and attitude. I'd rather not eat than deal with this. read more

This place is very clean. The crew member are very nice. They all wear masks, it feels safe inside. They are very quick. This is my favorite place to go by when I go to work. And yes the food is more expensive but that is because they are on the highway. Love this place. read more

Stopped in for a coffee about 8:30 AM on my way out west during Columbus Day weekend. The coffee counter (McCafe) was a different counter than the burger counter. Now I realize it was a holiday weekend, but only 1 person behind the counter and no decaf? The counter person said it would be 5 to 10 minutes, so I bought the caffeinated coffee which was served promptly. I stopped here on my way home on May 20, 2018 around 1pm. I ordered a quarter pounder with cheese and a double cheeseburger. While I was waiting to get my order I witnessed a man come up to the counter and tell the employee that he ordered a double quarter pounder and was given a single. To my shock and horror, I watched the employee take the burger from the man and put it back in the order prep area. This burger had been served to someone and then put back to be given to someone else. Well as it turns out that someone else was me. I called out the employee and told him that I just witnessed him take the burger from a customer and then give it to me. I told him I didn't want that burger. He refused to swap them out. When I told my wife she threw it away. She refused to get anything else from this establishment. I sent an email to their complaint board but I have not heard anything from them. I would not eat here! You have no idea what you are going to get. Who knows what this guy did with that burger. How vile. read more

Only good thing was after having to ask for the coffee he did bring the hamburger around the counter to me and apologized . For that I will add a extra star. read more
