This is a McDonald's in the food court of O'Hare airport so you have to have passed security to stop here. I came here during a several hour layover I had. I had never been to O'Hare before this and none of the options seemed to call me so I decided to go with the tried and true and order McDonald's. Since it was a morning layover, I had to order off the breakfast menu, something I haven't done ever before which is pretty crazy considering how much fast food I eat..... I decided to go with a sausage, egg, and cheese McGriddle. I honestly didn't know what a McGriddle was so I was surprised to see a sandwich where the bun is simply a pair of pancakes. But, it was super delicious! You order off the kiosk and then wait for your food to be ready. A very convenient McDonald's location inside of the terminal that I ordered from post arrival to Chicago O'Hare International Airport. It is located in a food court with several other options. Its small line was what lured me in along with the craving of an order of large french fries. Along with my large fries, I ordered a shamrock shake being that March is near its end, so I wanted to enjoy this seasonal option while it is still around. I ordered utilizing the fancy kiosk ordering system rather than at the register which seemed faster in a way. The selections on the kiosk ordering system were easy to navigate through as well as placing my order. There were no disappointments in the large french fries nor with the shamrock shake ordered. I was satisfied with the visual appeal of both, along with their taste! All in all, I had a pleasant ordering experience with this McDonald' location. It's ORD.... you will always be in a rush and McDonalds is a great, fast option to get some food in while you are running to the gate or trying to pass the time for a layover. I'm old enough to remember when this location was a they Y-intersection of H&K before they relocated it into the food court. They move people through pretty quickly - the number system is pretty helpful as far as keeping track of where your order is on the assembly line. The staff are friendly enough but get the job done. A while the surgeon general probably doesn't approve, who doesn't like a Sausage McMuffin for breakfast? Ordered just one large fries. They weren't seasoned/ salty as I am used to and tasted bland. They also come in a paper sleeve, so don't expect much. Ordering was fluid and ringing up was fast. They have a monitor that shows the order numbers so you can easily track when yours is ready. read more

The airport should be a place to eat safely and hope that the restaurants follow safety standards. The airport McDonald's fail to do this. I've had to send food back because the cashiers handle money then go prepare or bag food without changing gloves. I will be posting this review on the locations I've had this experience with. After a long overnight flight I had a couple hours of layover separating me from my 52 minute flight home from Chicago. The time change had me a bit discombobulated and I was weirdly hungry at 7 AM, but wasn't quite ready to demolish a torta at a neighboring restaurant. Alas - McDonald's. It's a place I only eat while traveling (usually road trips), and 95% of the time it's for breakfast. I stuck with my standard order this time around - a hash brown and a fruit & yogurt parfait. The hash brown was blazing hot and the parfait was good in that the fruit wasn't frozen for once, but the yogurt didn't seem to be the same as other locations. It was just a few hours short of its sell-by time, so maybe that had something to do with it. Service was curt but more or less efficient. They move people through quickly without pleasantries, but it's by far one of the busiest stops as it's what people know and less expensive than some of the other restaurants in the food court. Compared to the average McDonald's, though, it's quite a bit pricier. They do have a screen with your order number and whether it's being cooked or served. Mine showed up on the cooking screen, but disappeared. After several minutes of it not showing up on the served screen someone finally called my number out - it looks like it got lost in the shuffle. This isn't my first choice stop but it'll do the trick, especially if you're in a hurry. read more

I don't blame them because of how busy they are, but it would be nice if they were smiling as traveling is stressful enough! The food court area it's in is super crowded, tables were always dirty. I had a table and these people rushed to it and tried and stole it from me when I touched it first. The heavier set African American girl who took my order was unnecessarily obnoxious. Her attitude was unwarranted and had I actually had faith the manager would properly put her in check, I would have gotten her name and complained, but let's get real- he probably can't do much. Everyone knows McDonald's. I feel like I shouldn't have to write a review of this place unless something was spectacular or very wrong. Unfortunately, this is regarding the latter. We got in from a late Sunday night flight, everything is closed except this McDonald's and we're starving. There was a small crowd of around 8-10 people ordering/waiting for their food. Two people behind the counter. One up front and then one in the kitchen handling orders. Both equally incapable employees. The man in back was slow, kept asking how to do certain things. The woman up front was cold and impatient with the guests and kept yelling at the man in back. We had an order of two sandwiches, 6 nuggets, and a small fry. We waited--I kid you not--30 minutes for it. There were also numerous guests who mentioned a long wait time for their food, two airport employees included, complaining that they only have 30 minutes for their break and they spent it all waiting for food. When we finally got our order, we turned to walk away and as we were walking, opened the bag and sure enough--no fries. 30 minutes spent waiting for an order while the guy in back was cooking and the girl in front just standing there and they forget an item!? When we went back for the forgotten item, the woman up front unapologetically gave us the item. When we asked for a corrective action, she refused. I've never seen such poor performance or attitude from a fast food restaurant. I don't care what time of day it is, but there's no excuse for what a total and utter failure this was. I am so thankful for the other options available in this food court during normal hours, because I will surely not visit this location as long as those two work there. read more

The lady working the register didn't even greet us with a hello, and instead in a snobby voice just said "yes" we ordered our food as she looked completely unhappy with us..once we got our food I asked for a cup of ranch, and she said "give me a few minutes" and she helped the 5 people in line and THEN reached below her to give me a ranch cup.....she couldn't have done it right when I asked...?
