Located inside Hilton right across from the airport. The price and quality of the food are what you can expect out of an airport food basically. I came here mainly for the convenience and to be honest, had my expectations set pretty low. I was promptly seated. The dining area is a lot more empty, but the bar was much more lively. They have a pretty robust drink menu, but funnily enough do not have any hazy IPAs. I ordered a Stella Artois (draft) and a small was already $12.5, which was wayyy overpriced for me, But again, this is the type of expense I expected to pull for my laziness since I already expected everything here will be overpriced. I ordered the fish and chips with steak fries. To my surprise, their fish was actually very well cooked! The batter was very thin, which I like, and the fish was very fresh. I was slightly annoyed by the fact that they cut off the end of my lemon, so when I squeezed my lemon, the lemon juice squirted both ways making a small mess over my table. The steak fries were kinda dry, but nothing a little ketchup can't fix. However again, the price was kinda ridiculous. The fish and chip was $29. Overall with tips, I spent $50 for the entire meal. Overall, I think if you are short on time and don't have the chance to explore Chicago, then you are kinda stuck choosing this place since it is conveniently located within the hotel itself. But don't expect the price to justify the quality of the food since everything here is expectedly overpriced. The food I had was good, not amazing, and so definitely did not deserve that price tag. read more

I sat at the bar and had a great local beer from spiteful brewing (with an awesome label that I felt compelled to save, tasty chicken noodle soup, and a stellar vegan chorizo burger that ranks up their with good veggie burger experiences. Ambiance is hotel bar chic and the service was playful and friendly with some regulars at the bar. Much better looking menu than the steak house at the other end. read more

I'm not sure if I was just luckier than other patrons, but I found that the food and service was excellent. The wings, technically fried chicken since they are breaded, were some the best fried chicken I've had. The batter was extremely thin, well done, and provided a phenomenal crunch. The salmon was also perfectly cooked, as were the veggies, and even the mashed potatoes were decent. I had my food as takeout since I did not want to remove my mask in a public place, and even after 10 minutes in the container, the wings remained crunchy, and everything was still hot. I'll certainly get food from here again if staying at the Hilton. read more

Watered-down drinks. Do not get cocktails here. They water down vodka. But...onion rings aren't bad, albeit cold. The Reuben is supposedly 'sliced daily', but after receiving the sandwich, it's clear 'which day' isn't specified at all, and the corned beef tastes absolutely NOTHING like corned beef. It's horrible, given that Chicago is a few minutes away. Don't eat, or drink here, folks. read more

Food was not good. My husband's brisket sandwich was tough and inedible. My salad was large enough to feed a family of four but I didn't know that from the menu because all the prices are outrageous anyway and the description gave no indication of this. Service was fine. Our server was so polite and attentive. The ambiance was noisy and the acoustics of the space made it impossible to have a conversation at our table for two. If you want a glass of wine or beer in a sports pub atmosphere - you're good. I ordered from he Andiamo menu - Cesar salad with short rib. The portion of short rib is for a small child; barely bigger than my thumb. It was cold and not very tasty. Staying at the Hilton and hoped for better....worth the effort to get off property. My first time eating here was a disappointing salmon dish a few months ago. Go elsewhere for food. read more

Here is restaurant across the street from the airport in the Hilton Hotel that caters to travelers, passengers that have hotel and meal vouchers, etc. Tonight I spent 45 minutes trying to print my United meal vouchers in the Hilton lobby on computers that didn't work because this restaurant that caters to travelers who may have vouchers IS NOT EQUIPPED IN THIS DAY AND AGE to scan QR codes on the vouchers but instead hand key voucher numbers into their registers. Cherry on top - only at the I'm told they can only accept 4 vouchers. This evening left me so irritated I now have indigestion and a headache. read more

It's a sports bar in a hotel. Friendly service and lots of TV screens with numerous games on, plus some news. I ate at the bar, had a 23 ounce pour of a local brew and a smoked turkey sandwich. Was nothing special but not bad either, and the price was high but not outside of range for an airport location. Nice to have some background TV action to keep myself entertained while waiting for my family to show up. I would not make a special trip to come here but since I was staying at the Hilton by myself it made sense, would return if I was again staying at the Hilton and wanted a decent option that did not require a long trip into the terminal or off the airport campus. read more

Having checked into the Hilton O'Hare hotel around 8pm, I decided to check out the hotel restaurants for dinner. I found this place to be hoping with action compared to the other more sedate restaurant choices so I decided to eat here. Since I was by myself I found a single bar stool available in the bar area, which I immediately seized. I started with a 23 ounce glass of the local draft Goose Island Imperial Brown for $12.25 and a medium rare duck burger for only $15 with French fries. I was quite surprised at the good quality and taste of the duck burger and the French fries. Both were tasty. The total cost was $30 excluding gratuity. As an airport hotel restaurant I would highly recommend this restaurant especially for their duck burger with fries. read more

Killed a couple of layovers here. And I think a couple is going to have to do it for me. The service is pretty lacking....they have that attitude that they just don't want to be there and don't care if you do either. The drinks are fucking EXPENSIVE too. Two martinis will get you a bill over $30. And there's nothing special about the martinis except they serve them in weird little stemless wine glasses which kind of makes them a pain in the ass to drink if you've got a skewered olive up in that shit. It's a shame that this bar/restaurant will allow you to come in and purchase one beer, but if you order one cup of coffee they will deny you service unless you spend a minimum of $15. It seems to be perfectly fine to sit and have a beer and relax but not coffee because they are afraid you will sit and take up seating. I can understand that but at the very least let me have their $4.00 over priced cup of coffee to go. Everyone else has been great at the Hilton, but this is ridiculous. read more

A friend of mine had a 3 hour layover last night. He calls, and says {Extended New Year's hungover tone in voice} "Come meet me at O'Hare for a few drinks." {Long sigh} I said, "Sure." I tried to explain to my friend that once you leave the secured area, there really is not a bar or restaurant near the American terminal, besides the Hilton. Yes, wifey went along because: 1) "Said friend" is actually one of the few friends of mine that she likes 2) I would need her to drive home Upon entering, we did find the bar cosmetically appealing. Now, shocking as it may sound, I have been in a hotel bar or two. The prices. Well, I was eagerly expecting to get raped; but, even my eyeballs probably had a terrified look upon first glance at the menu. Here's a breakdown: Miller Lite bottle: $8 23 oz. Miller Lite draft: $11.50 House Cabernet: $15 Chips & Salsa: $11.50 Ouch! Oh well, it was New Year's Day, and we were at the airport, so let 2011 start in the red! The service was very good, and attentive-especially since my Johnny Walker ($38) slurping friend, kept hand motioning "Anna" over to our table. She was patient, and laughed {biting her tongue} when I apologized for his behavior. The Sports Edition is what it is. I know, and expect to pay absurd prices at a hotel bar, but this is, by far, the most expensive one I've been to yet. Used to come here ten times a year staying at the Hilton, and got to know everyone on the staff and saw the changes of owners and management. The service and the quality of the food varied over time, but overall it was the default place for me to go to get a drink and a quick fix meal. Usually the place was decent, but nothing really standed out. The price was substantially higher than a typical place in Chicago, probably because it is located in a hotel at the airport. read more

The bartender was incredibly nice and really trying her best but they seemed to be out of a lot of things when I was there which was kind of frustrating. This was tough. We were guests of the hotel. We had credit for meals that were weren't going to be able to use (specifically breakfast). So we came to the Sports Edition Bar. The server was okay, somewhat eager to please. But this place seems to be most accessible restaurant of the 3 on the premises. Due to the prices ($15 to $20 per person) we opted for two appetizers and 1 entree. The food came quickly was pretty good. I didn't get my fries with the rest of my meal. For $20 a plate, I have expectations. I don't expect the table to be unclean (it was sticky), things to be even slightly unclean (they were). I felt like i just wasn't getting my money's worth, and that's too bad. They have a captive audience and a second to none location. No need to squander it, if you ask me. Next time I think I would go into the terminal to find another place to eat. read more

Burgers or Wings? We didn't make it to the hotel in time for the dinner menu so we had to order off the late night menu as it was 10pm. It's menu offered wings and burgers. Burger choices were beef, lamb, duck, or turkey. I ordered the turkey burger with fries. It wasn't the best turkey burger but the fries were good. I did feel a bit sorry for the lady who waited on us. She was working hard to take care of everyone and running all over the place. We all expect airport food to be expensive. Charging "what the market will bear" is an age old business tradition. But this is a bit different. Restaurant prices at the Hilton O'Hare are more like: Charge your hungry, tired, isolated, captives what ever you like...cause they have nowhere else to go. Cha Ching!!!! When staying at this hotel, please remember: The restaurants in the terminal are on the other side of security. And, other restaurants in the area are not walking distance from the Hilton. Basically, you are stuck with prices that (even by airport standards) are predatory. As an example: A burger and a draft beer comes to over $30 at the bar at the Hilton. Their burger is no better (maybe not as good, or as large) as a burger in a full service set-down restaurant in the terminal. But, your meal at the Hilton will cost you nearly double what a similar meal in the terminal will cost. I didn't go to bed hungry at the Hilton O'Hare But did go to bed mad. read more

They call themselves a sports bar but for the National Championship Game they play crappy music instead of having the volume for the game on. When I asked the waitress if they'd put the volume on she said, no, only if it's a "big game". It is a CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, are you kidding me?!? Definitely NOT a sports bar. I had room service at the hotel where this place is housed in the night before and the menu was fairly identical and equally overpriced (which seems to be the norm for hotel/airport places). Convenient for a quick bite. Food was decent enough and the service was pretty fast and friendly. Nothing special but not awful either. But in this location, you aren't really left with a lot of choices so I suppose it's good enough. read more

Great burgers. Airport refuge. And the waitress is a "character". Returning home to Chicago from a weekend in NYC, after a two hour delay, we were starved for a burger, but had to get luggage first before we got a cab. After passing the Macaroni Grill in the American terminal (love MG!) as we headed to baggage claim, we remembered to re-visit Sports Edition in the Hilton. It's quite easy to get to & right in the lobby of the hotel, literally across the street from the terminal. For an airport hotel bar it was a welcome site and Dorothy, our waitress, was a true Chicago "character", with lots of fun sarcasm & attitude (positive attitude). We got great burgers! Would highly recommend it for that. I don't think I've ever had anything but a burger there so can't vouch for the rest of the menu. It is a sports bar, though, so don't go in expecting filet mignon. read more

Staying at Hilton across from O'Hare because we have an early flight in the morning. Not wanting to take a cab to go for dinner, we opted to stay at the hotel and have an easy supper at the Sports Edition Bar. The Tito's Martini was excellent and my husband enjoyed his Brandy Manhattan as well as the Turkey Stack sandwich. The Lamb Burger I ordered was excellent. The prices were on the high side, but cheaper than a cab to another restaurant. We'd come here again. read more
