We came into the store and were ignored by staff that was too busy offering free food to their friends, yelling, and cursing at one another. Several customers came in and left at the same time as us. Waited a long time in the drive thru. When we got to the window they told us to pull up and wait for the two Apple pies we ordered. We just wanted Apple pies. We ended up waiting another 15 minutes, tried to go in to see what the hold up was but the doors were locked and we couldn't get anyone's attention. After about a 30 minute ordeal with no pies we ended up just leaving with nothing after having spent our money and wasting our time. Also, none of the employees had masks on. read more

Go to any other McDonalds but this one. There is one south from there and north from there. Seem like every time I go to this location some machine is broken; Frappè machine, McFlurry machine you name it it's been broken. Frankly, I just think the employees are too lazy to make them and tell me the machines are broken. The last straw was when we evacuated from hurricane Irma and we stopped to get breakfast. I got the country chicken biscuit. I bit into the biscuit and the chicken was raw and rubbery! Ended up going to next McDonald's north were they exchanged my biscuit free. If employees don't want to take the time to cook and make the orders, they should just work elsewhere. I don't expect much from McDonlad's to begin with, but this is the worst location I've ever been to. Drive thru employee was rude. I'm not sure what's so hard about making a cheeseburger with extra pickles and I onions, but this location obviously doesn't know what that means. Also the entire meal was cold...fries, patty, and the bun felt like it was 2 months old. They were also planning on giving me a drink with no ice until I had to ask for it. It was apparently too much for the idiot working the window to turn around and walk 3 steps to get a scoop of ice. I travel 95 all the time and I will never stop here again. Just stopped for a burger, fries and a drink x 2. Took over 8 minutes to get the meal. Also the fries were not good (tasted old). I had to ask about my meal and the response was "oh yeah, hang on". They took my order with no problems, but when it came to moving the line of four cars in front of me, I sat there for five minutes and there wasn't movement at all. Filthy! Mold in ice dispenser. Food laying everywhere. Soda area hasn't been cleaned in a long while, so I can only imagine how clean it is where they prep food. My family and I went to McDonalds (hwy 251 in Darien) on Sunday. After using the restroom we decided we could not eat there. Both women's and men's rooms were filthy. There was no toilet paper in either and no paper towels. My wife noted that ladies room had faminine products on the floor. When we mentioned this to the staff, they said they were busy with rush and would get to it afterwards. How awful. read more

Everything about this McDonald's was terrible. From the filthy bathrooms to the pop machine. Floor was sticky, kids were running on the seating, the order screen looked like it hadn't been cleaned for days. Ignoring even the simplest of questions (either rude or plain dumb). Place was filled to WAY over capacity!! And if the fire marshal saw this he/she would probably FLIP! I walked up to the restaurant and proceeded to the door which happened to be locked. I started to make I contact and the employees ignored me(very bad service). We tried the drive through and there was one car ahead of us, however the service was so horrifically awful that it took 5 minutes before we decided to leave and go somewhere else. One of the most disgusting McDonalds I have ever seen! Overflowing trash everywhere, unclean restrooms, very unkept.

My family and I stopped here on our way back to Virginia and went through the drive thru thinking it would be quicker to do so, however; that could not have been further from the truth. It took close to 5 minutes for someone to take our order and when we started our order, I felt as though I was being rushed because it was , "is that all", quickly after reciting each order. A total was given so we proceeded to window #2 which no one was manning so we followed the car in front of us to window #1. We sat there for about 6 minutes before the worker realized our payment was never taken. She said, " oh, you haven't even paid for your food?!" Well no duh and as I proceeded to explain what happened, she just walked off with my bank card. She comes back with my card and receipt and then I wait another 4-5 minutes for my food. The fries were soggy and not hot which by the way are my favorite thing from McDs and to get them soggy and flavorless was disappointing. Nuggets and cheeseburgers were ok. Cheeseburgers were flattened out like a pancake, but tasted ok. Note to self, I will not visit this McDonald's again and I would probably visit the Dairy Queen or Waffle House that is right there by it should I be in that area again. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Filthy both Restrooms and lobby/ dining room. If the restrooms and dining area are filthy I can only imagine how dirty the kitchen and food prep areas are. Non-caring employees. Two working counter, well one working drive thru, and neither employee said one word to us, never looked at us. We were the only customers at the counter. This was actually a good thing as I did not want to eat here and my husband was worried about travel time. They are not adhering to any standards here and the employees need to be trained or fired.
