The service was horrible they were out of tomatoes and obviously lettuce because the little piece of lettuce on my burger was soft and wet. We asked for Ketchup but they were out of that as well. The food was okay but with the bad service I really didn't even want to order from there however I got a double cheeseburger and fries and my son ordered a hot dog and chili cheese fries and he said it was hot and the fries with the chili was supposed to be homemade but it really didn't taste like it was homemade. They had many choices for the milkshake which I wanted to order one but they had too many of my favorite flavors. I have to say it was crowded which is what made us choose to come try out the food being that we never ate there before. I would like to try them again at another restaurant because the experience here can't be fixed. It was located in a good area off 95 South in the mixed of Taco Bell, McDonald's, Krystal's and Burger King. It look rather small until you walked in the inside. When you're a Cashier dealing with customers no matter if you're having a bad day a customer shouldn't be able to know, if something happened before you came to work leave it at the door. I got a double, no cheese, lots of mayo, catsup and mustard, plus chili fries (the word "chili" never rolled off my lips) which they charged me $.75 for. This is a fast food restaurant mainly in the south. There's no true decor. Simple wood tables and chairs. We've always seen the signs, so had a chance to try one out. The burger was quite good. The fries were fresh potato fries. The menu board is a bit confusing if you're not familiar with the place. Food is not as quick as some fast food places. Some of their offerings are burgers, quesadillas and chicken strips. They do have a drive-thru lane. A bit better than I had expected. The bathrooms could use some fixing. I don't recommend this at all, they do not keep this place clean. Where the sinks are right by the cash register was infested with tiny roaches, and there were ants coming out of my box. I have been to many Cook Out locations and this is one of the nicest ones! It has a spacious dining room as well as a drive thru. The staff was super friendly and the food came out fresh and fast. As always this is one of the best values you can get. I got the Cook Out Tray which has your main plus two sides and a drink, which can even be a milkshake all for $7.99! I always get a chocolate shake and it is the perfect addition to the meal! It has become a tradition to stop at a Cook Out on our travels and I always look forward to it! read more

We were really looking forward to going here on our trip to Florida but what a fiasco. First of all we chose this place because we read it was dog friendly but there is no indication of that, no outdoor seating at all. So my daughter and I went in first , we were first in line and ordered our meals. We ended up getting the order that belonged to the people behind us after a very long wait, I went back in to let them know and my husband had ordered his meal and got someone else's order. In the time we were there we saw three other customers get the wrong orders and after long waits. They forgot my husband's milkshake. Let me say first: the two stars are not a reflection of the foods taste. It's very good tasting food. 4-5 stars. This specific Cookout is trash. Quality of the food was barely presentable. Sloppy and messy. Worst of all though was the woman at the register. Absolutely no patience with my wife, my 8yo son and I. I'd never eaten here before and because I wasn't giving her my 3 course meal order in under 10 seconds, she was agitated saying things like "ok what do you want", "ok What do you want on your regular burger", "ok well what do you want on your tray". I promise this is not an exaggeration. She didn't say it but she wanted us to "hurry up and get out of here". I really wanted to have some consideration that maybe she was having a bad day only another family walked in and ordered and boy was she ever the sweetest cashier. I had the BBQ platter with slaw and hush puppies, peanut butter fudge shake, and cheesecake with cherries. If you see this place as a fast food joint, you are not giving it enough credit. The food was delicious! The hush puppies were the best I have ever tasted anywhere by far. The shake is very thick (had to use a spoon until it melted enough to use a straw). The BBQ sandwich was juicy, tender and perfectly seasoned. I wish I had known the slaw dressing was on the bottom; I would have shaken it to spread the dressing throughout the slaw. The cheesecake was yummy with plenty of small cherries and juice. One criticism: the menu says BBQ platter w/ slaw, fries, and hush puppies. As an English teacher, I interpreted that as the platter would include all three. It doesn't; you can get two of the three sides mentioned. Also, it doesn't convey the fact that the BBQ was a sandwich. I expected it would not have a bun. The dining room is minimal and self-served. Order from the counter and seat yourself. Get your own napkins, straws, etc. However, it is good to have a place to sit and have a delicious meal. I will be back for more of their food! read more

This was without a doubt one of the worst meals my husband and I have ever had. The burgers were okay but the caramelized onions weren't caramelized. They must have slapped them on the grill for a minute and then put on the burger. The burger had condiments on it that were not requested. Our sides were wrong and cold. They gave us only one straw for two people and that was after I asked about the straws. She said they were in the bag. We had slaw but got no utensils. We should have realized this wasn't a good idea when we started speaking with the person taking our order. She would repeat it back to us and it was wrong. Again we would give her the order and she still got it wrong. I don't know if she wasn't paying attention or just not very bright. We went at 12:15, not at 3:00, which meant our food should be fresh and hot. We have gone to other Cook Out locations and the food was delicious. Needless to say, we won't be returning. I ordered a burger and a side of fries and cheese curds. When I got my food I opened it up and there were only 4 cheese curds In there. I asked and was told that is all that comes as a side (see picture). Super upset that I paid almost $4 for 4 cheese curds. What a rip off. Then I asked for a side of ranch and BBQ and was told they were out of both even though I ordered it with my meal. The service was terrible, the amount of food was terrible, and the customer service was terrible. I ended up walking next door to Wendy's to get something better.
