Lifelong McDonald's fan here sharing his thoughts on the brand new BIG ARCH BURGER, the hamburger conglomerate's first new entry into the burger arena in over a decade. On Tuesday, McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski elicited global ridicule for the perfunctory, guppy-sized nibble he took when sampling his chain's vaunted new product. Your favorite Yelp correspondent is here to report that you can take much more than the hesitant, half-bite the squeamish CEO took- The Golden Arch is an excellent new entrant. The sandwich plays like a hybrid of the Big Mac and the Quarter Pounder, featuring: -Two thick, QPC-sized patties...not the skinnier patties you typically see on the Big Macs or regular hamburgers; -White American cheese; -Two different types of onions, including fresh sliced onions¹ along with crispy fried onions. Note: The fresh root vegetable aren't the "world's smallest slivered onions" that so many of us Mickey D'ers love. -Framed between sesame/Poppy seed buns, lightly toasted -Chilled lettuce and pickles. I ordered mine, as always, sans the offensively foul pickles. -Trademark Big Arch sauce, described as a more tomato-forward, tangier counterpart to their traditional special sauce The burger is served in a cardboard box and is a definite "two-fister." It eats very well- You get the unctuous meaty beefy flavor from the meat, the creamy cheese, tangy but not overwhelming sauce and the wonderful mouthfeel of the crunchy onions against the thick, toasted buns. Service was decent but not exemplary. I was asked to wait in the "pull ahead" space for six minutes. I realize its a brand new concept to the restaurant but my custom order (no pickles) certainly doesn't compute w/ a six-minute extra wait! I paid $14.72, taxes included, for a Big Arch Combo (go large) with a hamburger on the side. Notwithstanding their CEO's humiliating, half-bitten "endorsement" video, the folks at McDonald's Corporate can arch their noses skyward why they look down disdainfully on their competitors, 'cause the Big Arch represents a big step in the right direction. read more

Enjoying the barely warm hash brown that they originally forgot to give me. The lady said that I insisted on not hash browns with my eggs McMuffin meal. Hmmm... not so... There's no more ordering off the screen inside. In fact, the screen is just a quick advertisement. They want you to use the kios instead. And the egg McMuffin was cold. And then there's a guy on here complaining about people with bad reviews, yet the end of his own review was complaining. Write about your own experience and leave other people out of your reviews. I came to this McDonald's in Diamond Bar with my Mom to redeem some free foods from McDonald's rewards since the points were about to expire. Thank you McDonald's! I wanted to go through drive-thru, but internet reception was not the greatest from the outside so I had to walk-in to order. Exterior was pretty clean. Inside was just as clean. Nice holiday decorations still in place. I used the kiosk to order... it was easy peezy. Friendly and nice gentleman staff gave me two kiddie cups for water upon my request. Btw, you can't order water via kiosk. Just ask for water cups at the front counter. Thank you Sir! Got my Mom's Big Mac in a jiffy! We left and came back after 15 minutes for my Filet O Fish. Why you ask? It is because you can only redeem one food reward every 15 minutes. This time around I went through drive-thru with better WiFi signal. Staff was friendly and nice as well. But when I tried x4 times not getting total approached Louis HELP me out and taken my orders. I asked him what I was doing wrong. He told me if I view my order, would have seen if pay total. I want to be fair. The food is good but service really sucks especially if you do the mobile order. I wanted to save some time to place order online in advance. The first time I tried to pick up, and the money went through, I got charged but they claimed that order not received. I had to placers another order at store, so I paid twice for one meal. Then, I always order at store after that, the experience is good until yesterday. My food has been ready for a while, while the lady has been working on her labels and ignoring my order until I requested in 10 mins and she gave me my order (everything had been ready for a while, she just didn't pass it to me). Today, I thought maybe I can try drive through to save some time while it's a disaster. I was told to pick up at the 2nd window while nobody was there, the cars behind me had came and gone, I felt so bad because the cars behinds behind me cannot wait so they had to changed their lanes to leave. The receipt even shows that the order was accepted on the card!! Well, we we checked our statement and the charge is still there. These people are crooks!! I'm big when it comes to customer service. Marlins customer service was horrible. Idk if he was having a bad night but his service sucked. VERY UNDERSTAFFED!!! The back young girl working at 9:50am on 02/15/26 is very rude. I heard her rushing an older gentleman to order and stated "sir i'm very busy- can you hurry and order." I heard her say that she is super busy to customers many times- not a very welcoming environment. I felt so bad for all the older people ordering inside this establishment. There were NO utensils and straws where the soda machine was but they were very impatient when so many people came up to the desk asking what they needed. First they tell me that I placed my mobile order at the wrong location. Then they tell me they gave my order to someone else but they can't remake my order. Told me to cancel my order in the app but it does not let me when it detects that I'm already at the store. If their staff messed up, why can't they simply remake my order? Contacted corporate who forwarded my issue to the store. After a week, a rep reached out. I show them my screenshot with my order info and they told me again I placed my order at a different location. My screenshot has their address. My go McDonald's. Rarely do I go in but when I place an app order, curbside pickup is smooth. The orders are normally accurate, and I'm used to getting the food fresh. Even though the app is convenient, there have been a few times where I sat outside too long to find out the app malfunctioned. She is too hyper focused on doing what she's doing quickly that she doesn't listen. Our 2 prior trips here the food was good & the fries were hot & fresh. Today, not so much. Waited 20 mins for our drive- thru order while 5 cars behind us got their order & drove off. Finally someone checked on us as we were parked at the front window waiting for our food. We could hear someone say that our order was closed out. Not good! I've never had an issue with this location. I always order via the app for mobile order pick up and it's been ready, quick, and correct. Food is always warm for me and flavor is the same as other locations. Location can be a little tricky to get into as it favors one direction. read more

I am a student at Lorbeer Middle School down the street, and I am a regular to this McDonald's. I have never had an issue with my food at this McDonald's except for random backstages (mostly when I get curbside). What pisses me off about this McDonald's, though, is the treatment of the students. There have been some almost none student-involved incidents but they kick us out everyday. Us students can't stay in this McDonald's after we receive our food, can't even sit down without being told to leave. Most of the time, the McDonald's is near empty yet they kick us out! As a customer we have the right to stay inside. I, as a regular, do not recommend this McDonald's for any student, let alone adults as some get annoyed of the 15 kids outside waiting every single day only to get kicked out 5 minutes later. This is based on the drive up and drive thru experience. Logistic wise the drive up parking spots are next to the drive thru area; the signs are hard to spot so it is easy to miss. There are 4 spots for drive up which makes it pretty convenient. The staff is nice and friendly. Typically they are out with your food within 5 minutes. The drive thru is fast and efficient. As for the food it is MCD standard. Nothing that super stands out such as best nugget ever but nothing that is sub par. It's worth a stop for a quick bite and ordering through the app to pick up here is seamless. read more

I went on Thursday 12/19. I accidentally left my review for this location on the Golden Springs one. Well, here's my review... I haven't been to this location for many, many years because when it was remodeled, I thought it was not good. I have been going to this McDonalds since September 2024. Evertime they have excellent service. I still don't like their parking lot though. You can only enter from the street. Thankfully there is a shopping center behind this McDonalds. All the other McDonalds I've been to like in Rowland Heights and Chino Hills have had horrible service. They try to get you to use the kiosk and act rude. This location employees help you out with app codes and other stuff. I'd like to add that it's McDonalds food. So, the McDouble was salty, the chicken nuggets were how they always are, not the best and the McChicken still tastes the same. read more

I went here at 2 am just for a Dr Pepper and some cookies. When I got to the window I asked if I could get the cookies made fresh if possible since there wasn't a line or anything like that. I proceeded to pay then the lady made me park for 8 minutes when they only take 2 to warm up and then proceeded to hand me just the bag of cookies piping hot without a bag for them and I ate one and realized they were just warmed up and I've worked at McDonald's before so I could kinda tell they slacked off. 2/10 only because my Dr Pepper was good read more
