Literally the WORST McDonalds I have ever frequented. Perpetually short staffed, long lines and less than mediocre service. Stopped here after my daughters practice to get her an ice cream cone, immediately was greeted with "it will be a 10-15min wait, so if that is ok with you please proceed with your order"! Ummm, excuse me? I asked him to repeat and then asked why. I was told there "were other cars in front of me". I decided to not wait, and pulled around to see ONE car at the pick up window. I was a caregiver finishing up a 12hr shift. Stopping by to this McDonald's for some free food for healthcare workers before my another 4 hour shift starts. The drive thru guy told me I wasn't able to avail the promotion because I am not a healthcare worker and that they only serve to workers who are working with those who are working on a hospital like nurses, doctors, police and firefighters because they are helping "sick people." I was exposed not too long ago with a COVID19 positive patient. Care givers are healthcare workers too. We put our lives in danger to help the patient who are most vulnerable to this disease. I am not asking for you to refund me the money back. I am just asking you to straighten the policy for the people who might need it. Thank you and a good day! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is the definition of awful customer service. After paying we proceed to the next window for our food. The girl at the drive thru window hands my husband a drink which did not have the lid secured causing orange soda to spill all over the inside of my car door. She saw my husband cleaning all the soda from around the cup and instead of apologizing she just gave a dirty look while trying to hand him yet another drink that also had soda all over. I mentioned to this young lady that she should be mindful next before handing cups with soda all over it to people because people pay a lot of money for their cars, thats when she and a coworker who was hidden behind her and the glass started to laugh. A few minutes later I called to report my experience to a manager, that manger was highly unprofessional. I'm not sure if this McDonald's has a franchise owner or not but I know that if I had employees this trashy I'd want to know. One star is being generous The customer service at this facility is absolutely horrible. Went through the drive through and ordered a-breakfast platter. No silverware or napkins were provided. Other than giving me a total, neither employee said a single word to me. I said thank you to both women at each window and received nothing more than a turn of the head and shut the window in my face Up until today I believed that McDonalds was making positive growth where customer service was concerned. The absolute WORST McDonald's ever! I am not even over exaggerating on this one. I'll start by saying that I am a crap mom who feeds her kids way to much McDonald's. It's obvious by the load of cheap happy meal toys lying around my house. Well due to a change schedule we happened to be across the mall when the kiddos were hungry last week and conveniently I hit up the McD's for a "healthy" dinner solution. Not our normal location I must mention. I ordered 2 happy meals and a large coke. I'll be honest their coke is usually bomb but I am getting head of myself here...Lets break down the horrible experience for you. It started with me driving up to the window to pay and the young girl didn't even acknowledge me. She actually opened the window, then closed the window, opened it again, closed it and walked away. Ok, a little rude but whatever. She finally came back opened the window and said what my total was. No hello, no hi, no how are you, nothing, ok rude again, but whatever she is young and under trained. So she took my card walked away, one, two, three, four minutes go by, she returns and says, "our system is down so it will be a while". My response, ok, what do you mean awhile? She says I don't know, let me ask. Then she says oh just a minute they are running it now. ?? Ok... Well then she hands me a happy meal with NO french fries, and the drinks with NO straws. After about 15 minutes I received my order and left. Still didn't have straws! Again whatever this is a small offense, but the kicker was that unfortunately my bomb soda however wasn't so bomb and did have some extra ingredients in it... pics to be included. Gross, literally so gross I threw up. Hair all inside the cup and coming out of the lid, gross hair. I almost think this was intentional, I don't even know how it couldn't be. I won't be returning to this location and I will probably consider feeding my children something healthier from now on, thank God for Chick Fil-A. :) Best of luck to anyone who braves the visit to this location anytime soon. McDonald's - Not My HAIR! - Burgers Near Me - Escondido, California

Went in there Monday morning for a quick bite on my way to work. I used to stop there often for the cheap bag of fat and a coffee. This particular morning I was scrounging some change. I ordered the sausage burrito and a small coffee. Total for th eorder was $2.15, I know it was going to be that cuz I been there often for the same thing, like I said. I got my change together only $2.14. Rather than just hand it to her and hoep she doesn't count it, I tell her there is only 2.14 cents. It was one paper dollar and the rest in change including three quarters so it's not some crazy handful of pennys or anything. She looks at me like i need to come up with the penny so I ask her, do you happen to have a penny? She says no, so I ask her if she could ask the girl behind her if she had a penny. She asks and the girl says no. Finally she asks if I want to take something off the order. Now, I suppose I could have done that. But, really? I only got one thing ot eat and one drink. Given that the tax is rounded up it was really only a half of a cent that I was short. At that point i said no, seeing the order sitting on the ledge right in front of me, ready to hand to me. I took my money and drove off with out my bag of fatness.... The moral of the story is, well, actually I don't think this story has a moral. Thank you for reading this far. If you like this story, and you're ever at that McDonalds drive throug, throw a penny through the window while your driving away, just in case someone else like me ends up there some day. read more

Service when you walk into the restaurant is OK and on par with all other McDonalds, but be wary when ordering at the drive through. Regardless of if your order is big or small, ALWAYS check your stuff before leaving the drive through window. They will find a way to surprise you with some sort of **** up every time. And this isn't limited to lunch rush or anything; it happens at all hours of the day. I don't know what's wrong with this location, but they are always consistently getting things wrong. read more

stopped to get my kids an ice cream cone on the way home from the wild animal park...oh i mean sd zoo safari park (wtf???)...we all piled into the restaurant b/c i didn't want them eating ice cream in the car. as i was ordering a lady came in screaming about not getting ketchup in the drive thru...she was pretty rude...but i soon realized why... i ordered ice cream first...1 cone, 1 hot fudge sundae and 1 caramel sunday...she said it back to me...2 cones and a hot fudge sundae...really...how did she f that up? then my mom told me to order food for the kids...so i ordered a 20 piece nuggets and 2 small fries...as my mom was paying...i saw that the total was only $3 something...i asked the girl about the food...she said ..."oh i didn't hear you" i said it twice!!! ok...this girl was high or really stupid! whatever...we had a quick bite..ice cream;...oh ya..and then i went back and ordered a $1 giant drink...she got that right... the food tasted like mcdonalds...it was a convenient stop on the way home ...no complaints...i was in a good mood...so the stupid girl didn't bother me much...just funny read more

Worst costumer service. I ordered through the McDonald app curbside order at 11:10 AM. Waited patiently for my order because i understand they just opened the lunch menu and i ordered some fries and nuggets. Fast forward to 11:30 and my order still haven't arrived so I decided to just go in and find out what is going on. Went inside and they told me "what curbside order?" I was like here is the confirmation from my phones, curbside number 4 and i've been waiting for for 20 minutes. And i said that in a calm nice manner. Now they started questioning each other and one person asked did anybody fulfill my order and no one was answering. So i'm like Ok, i'll wait and it'll probably just another3-5 minutes. Well i was wrong, they made me wait another 10 minutes without a single one of them apologizing or explaining to me why my order was forgotten. I would have left and ask for a refund if I the order was for me but my daughter really loves their fries and i did not want to disappoint her. So i waited for them. But the whole extra 10 mins i was inside to pick up my curbside that was 20 mins delayed already none of then apologize to me. Not even once!!! McDonald's quarter pounder with cheese USED to be my favorite. Got one of the worst ever at this location, so I stopped going there. However, just today, my husband drove through for a smoothie and a burger (at 10:30am) and was told that he could not get a burger!?! Please make sure you check your food once you get it through the drive thru window. Ordered 2 Happy Meal on 3 07 18 at about 8:18pm. The one with extra fries had none inside, just the toy and cheeseburger. We were 13 miles away before my child opened the Happy Meal box. There is not a kids play place like the website says. The service is an absolute joke. You order from the kiosk, enter your number; they do not bring your food or call out the numbers. By the time I realized this my food was cold. I actually saw other peoples food sitting for over five minutes while the employees joked around. I completely understand and expect that McDonald's employ the minimally exceptional however this one was astonishing. The men's bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The dining room area was filthy with the trash cans overfilled with trash falling onto the dining room floor. Plus, the best for last, the dinning area actually smelled like somebody rolled a cat turd in burnt hair; so we ate outside. The managers should be ashamed of themselves. Just sad really. read more

Great service at this McDonald's. They are not stingy with their sauces and will give you more for free if you ask. They remodeled and it looks nice and clean. They also accept the deals offered on the McDonald's app. I never have to wait long at the drive-thru. read more

Food was terrible. Ordered 20 nuggets and they were over cooked and i ordered a large fry and those were undercooked. We had a soggy fries and par cooked fries with them still being cold and slightly hard in the middle. No wonder why this place has 2 stars. If i could give 0 stars i totally would. On Saturday night, we went to get something to eat at this location which posts that they are open until midnight. We pulled up to the drive-through window at 11:31 pm. The lights on the menu and building were on but where you place your order was dark. I drove around to the pick-up window and that was closed. There were employees inside. My husband knocked on the door and was told they were closed. He reminded them that the hours say they are until midnight. He was then told that they ran out of food. He started laughing and said, you ran out of hamburgers? He was told yes, they ran out. We went to this location because it is the closet to where we live. When we have gone here before, they have screwed up even the simplest of orders, their napkins smell musty, the buns are stale, and you have to beg for ketchup. In the future, I'll find the next closest fast food restaurant; I think there is a Burger King nearby. read more

Why doesn't Yelp have minus stars??? Bad bad bad McDonalds. Drive thru employee argued about handing me my credit card and I knew she didnt. Something told me she was lying and I was very scared she had pocketed my credit card. After arguing w her I told her Id pull up in the front and shed better find it. I parked, opened my bag and my credit card was wrapped in my reciept in the bag. How in the world did she not know she put it in the bag or was it because the manager walked up behind her when we were arguing and she didn't want to get in trouble?? Not to mention the bag and the ice cream cone smelled of body odor. I couldnt eat my food because of the smell and I was upset. Rather then go in and make a scene I opted to call. I called about 11 times and no answer. I've never experienced this kind of behavior from people anywhere that I can remember. Even when I'm buying clothes the cashiers make sure that they hand me my cc and ask if I'd like my receipt w me or in the bag. Something is shady about this and I will be making sure my bank is aware of the situation in case she swiped my number somewhere.... You never know in this day and age. Visited this location for an early dinner with my daughter before a school function on Monday Aug 28th. As we were sitting in there eating an employee came out of the kitchen to the dining area. She sat at a high top table about 15-20 feet from us and proceeded to lift her foot up and remove her shoe and sock. She then "worked" on her foot. Honestly not sure what she was doing as I was trying not to watch her. Then she starts talking to another employee and keeps saying "Gross!" as she works on her foot-IN THE DINING ROOM! Now, granted we were the only customers in sight, but still this is disgusting. After a few dirty looks her direction she says, with a chuckle, "oh sorry". I realize fast food is not fine dining but I think it is completely unacceptable for an employee to do this 1) at a table where people will eat 2) while on the clock and 3) in front of customers who are eating! Terrible McDonalds!!! Really not much more to say, but I will elaborate. Service is non-existence. My mom and I stopped in on our way to Riverside, me wanting some sweet tea. It was a joke. We parked and walked in. A couple seemed to have been waiting for some time for their food. The guy commented on how it would have been faster to just have gone through the drive-thru. We stood there for three minutes and not one person on line was served as the people behind the counter were looking at each other like what do I do. Never again for this location.
