They call Indiana the Crossroads of America. This is at one of those crossroads. There used to be a giant Santa Claus near here, but it was restored and moved closer to Evansville. Why Santa? Because this crossroads is where Santa famously sold his soul to Satan for his powers; and if the prophesy holds true, he'll die here. The effort to move the monolith Santa from this spot was a desperate attempt to thwart fate. For the sake of Santa, I hope it succeeds. The mood here is solemn and dark, accordingly. But the food is phenomenal. Well worth the wait. The McDouble is an award-winning burger. read more

Every morning there are about 30 hungry truck drivers coming from the hotels and they refuse to open the lobby doors after the posted open time. Not once but at least 4 out of 5 times I've given them a chance, the door is locked. The one time I got in there the manager took my order and was frustrated to have a customer before they were "ready"...this was 4:45 and they open at 4:30. Today I stood by the drove thru window in the cold while she stared at me for at least a full minute before telling someone else to see what I want. I asked if they were open yet and the manager yells from behind the poor girl, "yes but nobody showed up so nothing is ready yet, give me a few minutes"... I think she knows we don't have a few minutes. The absolute worst manager I've came across. Can't even open a McDonald's on time. I've done it. It can be done alone. She is obviously a dictator manager, not a worker. read more

My order was 386. We went in for a carry out order. As soon as we order, what appears to be the owner walks in. She had a mask out which she kept touching so she could talk to people. She then walks behind the counter with open toed shoes (which is not only a health hazard for herself but a safety hazard for the store itself). After that she then proceeds to use hand sanitizer in replace to wash her hands. She then goes to handle food! All while still touching her mask and rubbing her face. That is nasty. I was a manager at a McDonald's for about three years and know for a fact that you take a serve safe and are taught how to wash your hands properly. This store really needs to figure out how to show there customers that they are doing everything they can to stop the spread of COVID-19. read more

Pretty good drive through experience. One thing to improve on is to not fill soda to very top. I nearly spilled soda on my hand and car console trying to get the straw in. I had to go to parking lot very carefully so I could spill out an inch. All good now but I'd really prefer my drinks to leave some room at top. read more

I had a colleague traveling through the area, and we decided to set up a meeting close to Highway 64 as he traveled through the city. We agreed-upon McDonald's in Haubstadt. I don't know who owns this or who manages it, but this restaurant was a fucking disaster. None of the display boards were working for the menu items, so the technology upgrade was pointless. I stood there for 15 minutes waiting to be waited on as the manager openly chastised her crew for sending inappropriate texts to one another. The young man who waited on me, quietly apologized for the open display of drama going on by the supervisor. I told him not to worry about it, just because some people have higher positions than others, doesn't mean anything - as was currently being displayed for all to see. I don't frequent McDonald's very often, but I will never visit this location again. The only thing this location offers is a quick bathroom break for those traveling on one of the two highway systems that border the restaurant...beyond that, this place is a fucking dump. read more

Wifi was so slow I couldn't load Google on 3 different devices. It was raining outside but the floor was wet throughout entire restraunt. No one was mopping if that's what you're thinking. Worst McDonald's ever! Stopped at 6:45 am and was told they didn't have enough staff to open lobby for walk up orders. Wasn't safe?! When visibly there were employees inside? Really? Their advertised opening time is 4:45. I used to manage a fast food restaurant and would've been fired for less than that. I asked for her manager info (name, store number, etc) and was told she couldn't give it to me for security reasons and hung up. In the time I was there, there were at least 10 customers who walked up and were shaking their heads as they were turned away. I guess McDonald's now, let's managers make up their own whimsical hours due to absent parenting. Consider the other reviews. I know there is not much to say about a McDonalds, however, I would say not to go to this one. I went to grab some breakfast right quick and never even got a chance to eat because of how long they were taking. They messed up a variety of peoples orders and then took for ever to correct them. Basically super slow service, messed up the orders, and then did not know hot to correct themselves so the situation continued to spiral out of control until I had to leave. This location has a problem with prompt service. I pass this way often. Today my food took 20 minutes to receive from inside kiosk. The last time they lost my order from inside kiosk. The last time I went through the drive thru, it took almost 19 minutes to receive. My orders were not special in any way. I chose to speak with a manager the last time my order was late. He said they were busy. As I waited, there were only 2 orders taken inside the restaurant. I didn't see many cars leaving through the drive thru. The store was clean and the food was okay when I finally received it. The time was 1: 28 pm when the order was made and received at 1:48 pm. read more

This is one of the dirtiest, slowest, McDonald's I've ever been to. I live about 3 miles up the road and I refuse to go there anymore. They never get the order right at the drive-thru. The last time we went inside, the trash was overflowing, ketchup dispensers were empty, bathrooms were disgusting beyond belief, tables not wiped down flies were everywhere, the service was slow and they just didn't care, no customer service. I've reported it to corporate McDonald's, but apparently they do not care... it never gets any better. read more

I usually don't choose McDonald's when picking a place to eat, but since we live near this one, I simply can't avoid visiting this one for others on occasion. Normally I don't even mind McDonald's as far as service goes, but this one is terrible. Whether it was a mobile app issue or not, I do not know. I ordered a coffee with creamers for a family member and chose curbside pickup. I waited 26 minutes before going inside. Meanwhile, the drive through was wrapped around the building as it usually is. I contacted corporate regarding this particular order. They responded asking that I expect to be contacted by the franchisee, but I haven't heard a word since. This particular McDonald's really shakes the brand from my perspective. If you're considering any other restaurant around here, I would suggest avoiding this McDonald's unless you like headaches. read more
