    Beer Flight $2 Tasters
    Melissa U.

I really enjoyed this brewery! All the beers I tasted were great. The atmosphere is very chill and the staff was super friendly and welcoming.

Though not near the water and a little hard to find, it's a cozy tasting room. Quite a few people there on a Sunday afternoon. We did two tasting flights so we could try everything. The husband and I found one or two we really liked but we're picky. They have something for every taste and the woman working was knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting things to try. Very reasonable prices on take-home options if you find something you love. Worth a stop if you're in the area.

Stopped by WCB for the first time, and I know I will be back! The staff was very welcoming and on top of that they knew their beers in and out. If you aren't sure what you'd like they have great suggestions based on past beers you've had elsewhere, plus the variety is outstanding. But selection aside, the beers KICK ASS! I walked away with a squealer of cream ale and it lasted about 30 minutes at home before I found myself looking at the empty glass. It's worth the trip across the bridge!

Don't let the front door fool you! It's their event space. The real bar is out back, around the corner. I don't know why they chose to design it like this, but it's confusing. As a consumer, I'd offer a few tips on how to draw in more people. Fun graphic design and T-shirt's available at the bar, no food. Good, smooth stout. Our bartender was friendly and offered us samples when we were indecisive. The atmosphere is spare and industrial, which is de rigueur nowadays. I wish it had a cozier vibe as it's walking distance from our home and we'd visit more often. Thankfully, no TVs.

Wet Coast Brewing: 6820 Kimball Dr Ste C Gig Harbor, WA 98335 (253) 432-4966 wetcoastbrewing.com Founded by owners Bryan & Molly Copeland and Aaron & April Johnson Mackenzie: Beer Tender. Nice person, basic helpful service. The brewery is comfortable with a nice bar area and some tall stools and tables. Very clean. All ratings are only my opinion and specific to the particular visit. Ratings are on a scale: 0 - 5 Stars. Holiday Jeer! : ABV 6.5%, IBU 30 Style: Winter Ale (Built around a full bodied Stout) The aroma is complicated. It starts out with cloves, followed by nut meg. The ginger, allspice, cinnamon comes out at the end of the first taste. It has full body and is a little heavy and rich from the molasses. Long ending. **1/2 stars. (Because of the novelty) Scofflaw CDA: ABV 7.1%, IBU 65 Style: IPA Black/Cascadian Dark Ale HOPS: Columbus, Falconers Flight, Amarillo and Simcoe MALT: dark wheat The aroma is very light, flowery and a little soapy. It has a medium body, slightly hopped with a stand out resin flavor as an aftertaste. Very short smooth bitter finish. ** 1/2 stars. Bottleman Brown: ABV 6.3%, IBU 25 Style: Brown Ale American Hops: Willamette Malt: Chocolate A nice slightly sweet roasted chocolate aroma. Medium body, nutty and chocolatey. Short finish. The roast and chocolate lingers all the way,in the back of your throat in the finish. *** stars. Fixed The Newel Post!: ABV 7.9%, IBU 72 Style: Red IPA Hops: Resinous Pine, Eureka Malt: Carmel Steam, Crystal Rye The aroma is fruity, a little bit flowery and citrus. Light bodied piney, nicely hopped. A little bit bitter IPA ending. *** stars. Moving Day IPA: ABV 6.4%, IBU 68 Style: American IPA The aroma is a true Washington state IPA with Citrus. Light bodied crisp taste. IBU does not stand out. Short flat finish. *** stars.

Samples for all the beers on tap..no set number or combo. Bonus!

He was nice enough to let us show our friends the space., But was already sweeping and closing, which, as a restaurant owner and Winebar owner, I can attest is a huge no-no. All winter we would drop in on Monday night after concert often as late as 9:45 with no to few other customers in the room and be warmly greeted and sold a couple of glasses of wine just so that we could chill a little bit but, we never stay very long. And the girls were always very welcome and friendly.. But after maybe 25 visits, we get this guy, in a room packed with people, not that late, not friendly, not sorry, so sadly we left, but did show our friends the beautiful patio with the spectacular steady water and full moon. We will be back, although it's been a long time now thanks to that guy, and look forward to giving a five star review because this place really is special and doesn't even need our good review because they are busy busy busy in a town with absolutely nothing going on. (We moved to Gig Harbor to put the gig in Gig Harbor, and we still will. But now that Anthony's has purchased the Tides Tavern, the Tides is open until 10 and is welcoming and friendly to people who show up all the way until 10 because they're good business people. Restaurant people, club owners, like us will never be the last people to leave so are very considerate about coming in late to a place.) .

The vibe is so comfortable and laidback - plenty of seating with tvs playing sports, a back patio area with various games that kids (and adults) can play, and a view of the water on the other end. The staff is so friendly and attentive. I ordered the beer vault hotdog with a side of sauerkraut and topped it with mustard, my husband ordered the ATM sandwich and we both got chips. Potato salad is the other side option. I had ordered the number 5 cider on tap, it was delicious and smooth. Crisp and lightly sweet, it paired well with the hotdog honestly. It also seems like they have live music shows, so I'm definitely going to look out for upcoming shows and events to stop by here again soon. It's a cool spot with great food and laidback family oriented vibes.

I haven't seen the usual setup, but I'm assuming there's usually tables and chairs in the middle. THE FOOD: - Kitchen is currently closed, but outside food is more than welcome. Snack foods (chips, peanuts, similar) available at register. THE CIDERS: - I had a flight and they were all amazing. Standouts were: vanilla bean (sweet but not too sweet; light, refreshing, true vanilla flavor) and dark maple (not saccharine sweet; just on the edge with a dryness and truly outstanding flavor... dangerously delicious). - I kept expecting all of them to be overly sweet; but they all kept surprising me. Watermelon was another favorite. SERVICE: - Quick and kind with a smile. You'll love the vibes. SIDE NOTES: - We traveled from the Seattle area as Locust Cider had the Winchester Mystery House pinball machine on loan for the weekend. Only 500 were made, and this is currently the only one in the state. Your next closest is Next Level Museum in Oregon if you want to play this extraordinary machine. It's worth it! - We came on a salsa lesson night, so most pinball machines were blocked by tables. That's alright because 7 were unblocked and provided plenty of entertainment while the salsa lessons happened. - I think pinball + salsa music + sipping refreshing ciders is the new best way to enjoy a Saturday night. Beyond their awesome ambiance, their ciders were all varied and delicious. They have 26 taps to choose from. We tried a bunch of their 4oz pours. My favorites turned out to be (surprisingly) their seasonal Chai and their Honey Pear, but each one that I tasted was unique and flavorful. I felt the intentionality in each one. They have a full food menu that includes gluten free tater tots and chicken nuggets. Service was awesome, by the way. Two of the kegs we wanted to try had blown, so the bartender brought us a few extra pours for having to wait. I'm super bummed that I never made it back for a second visit. This is actual brewery so they sell their beer can packs to go, as well as some Merch (apparels etc). Newest second location (Narrows Tasting Room) recently opened on Proctor district as well. If I were to get crazy picky, tasting of 1.0oz beer is still going to cost you a dollar. There's no "taking a sip" to see if you wanna commit to ordering a full pint, so just keep that in mind. My favorite here is Narrows Lager and Summer Lager is great too, and if you're an IPA drinker, Tempest IPA is a good option. They also do not prep food here so they got a Chex Mix + Pub Mix snack for $4.00 for about a small bowl, and some charcuterie boards. You can order some food downstairs/next door from Boathouse19 and or bring a small snack bag to nibble on. Parking is ample but can get filled very quickly, especially during Summer time when lots of wedding and other events are happening at the Narrows Marina warehouse, and I also see some food trucks parked by exclusively for those events from time to time. Lastly, they have non-alcoholic beers too! It's not their own, but I've seen them pour "Bero" canned non-alcoholic beer, so you do not need to be a beer drinker to enjoy the space here, but this place is 21+ only, which is another reason I love it here. Oh and last but not least, they have several rooms for event rentals, so I've seen many retirement, birthday parties and other events hosted in those rooms. Pretty cool! The room next to the bar area can be a bit noisy because of the exhaust fan running that is connected to the brewery room. All in all, a great brewery tucked in on the Narrows Marina that's worth a visit if you're in the area, and you might find me here too, just hanging out on a Summer evening : )
