The atmosphere inside is very fancy and you feel almost as if you're eating at an upscale restaurant. I usually do the drive thru and it runs through the parking lot. It pains me to write this review, because I really like the inside layout of this McDonald's, and the drive through is routed through a parking garage, making it private and shaded on hot summer days. But that's where the compliments end. This is the worst McDonald's in Glendale. It's the closest one to my house, yet I drive out of my way to the ones on either Colorado or Glenoaks because 9 times out of 10 when I come here, they get my order wrong. Almost every damn time. I got breakfast through the drive-thru. I don't know if the guy was stoned or what, but he was a complete train wreck of an employee. Me: I would like a sausage mcmuffin combo, no cheese. I look on the screen and I see him type "10 sugar packets" and then erase it. And then type "10 cream packets" and then erase it. And then type "5 sugar packets" and then erase it. I know that their food is not healthy, but I love McDonald's. This place is great because their drive thru is super fast and friendly, and they have free wi-fi. Also, when you go inside, their booths are in little nooks, so you can eat your food in peace. It's not supposed to be a fine-dining experience, so people who expect more for a $1 cheeseburger really need to get over themselves. The WORST SERVICE EVER... Ordered a cheeseburger, french fies, and a snack wrap. This place doesn't have ketchup outside but the worker didn't put any ketchup. So I had to go back and waited to get some. This was fine. But the worker didn't ask me what sauce I want for the snack wrap again so I had to go back to get the sauce again. The car in front of me drove directly to the window because no one was answering him. The cashier then attempted to take both of our orders at the same time. Another employee took over and took my order. I pulled up to the window and began to speak when I handed the employee my credit card... he put his finger up and shushed me!!!! This employee was wearing a dress shirt and tie so I assume he was a manager... ? Regardless, it was completely rude, insulting and unprofessional. This place is particularly good for studying, even though they only have 1hour parking (but I've never gotten cited after staying for a couple hours). It's such a comfortable setup inside. Coronavirus alert! In the very early stages of this pandemic, I had read a report about how we will be hit hard by this virus because of food workers. The theory was that people in the food industry typically don't have sick pay so they most likely will continue to work when they aren't feeling well. This may not be the case for McDonald's employees but it's not a good feeling when you pull up to the drive through window and the person that is taking your money has their face mask below their nose. Then when you pull up to pick up your food, it's the same for that person. Do people not understand how this virus is spread? How about the people inside the kitchen? Everyone I saw inside the kitchen wasn't even wearing a mask at all! If they have that little concern for themselves, do you think they have any concern for the customer? And what does that say about the management? These employees should be fired on the spot if they're seen not properly wearing their face masks. I had a morning appointment in LA before work, and didn't make it to the office on Brand until nearly noon. Since it was about a trazillion degrees out, and my dollars were few, I figured I'd find the nearby Mickey D's I'd heard about, drive thru and grab some grub to eat at my desk. OK, so maybe it's not the best grub, but it'll do in a pinch. I tried the chipotle snack wrap - two in fact - for about three dollars. I figured I could get a cold bottle of water or a can of soda at the office for the generously-subsidized price of 25 cents. There's something about hot chicken and cold lettuce that just doesn't mix. Add to that a too-sweet pseudo-chipotle sauce, and you've got a cheap but not so promising lunch. However, as easily entertained as I am, I got a kick out of driving into the parking lot of a mini-high rise building, placing my order in said parking lot, then driving up alongside said building to get my food. I thought this was the flagship location for McDonalds. They're supposed to cook the signature hamburgers as they're ordered, however, mine was cold. I knew the fries were cold when they handed me the bag, so I asked for fresh ones. Why do we have to ask for hot food??? Rarely do I have a complaint about this place. It's built so that you have sitting areas along the side to study or do ppw. The larger area is for kids & family gatherings!
