If I could rate 0 stars I would, I am a local and have never been treated so poorly by any restaurant employee before. This morning we went at 5:15 and they had just opened, we went to pay our total $26.00 and all we had was a $100 bill. The worker, I believe her name was Angel, sighed and with an attitude told us she needed to go to the safe, she then slammed the window shut and while walking away shook her head as if she was annoyed, which she would've had to break a $100 bill at some point regardless. (And this is now the second time she has walked away shaking her head in the drive thru) She came back and slammed the drawer open and gave us our change, before I could even ask to get some hot sauce for my sandwich she had slammed the window shut and walked away. So I walked my happy ass inside and asked her for sauce, she then threw 4 packets of sauce on the counter and walked away... I made sure to let her know she should smile more and not treat her first customers of the day like such shit. She started screaming telling me to have a good day and that I wasn't the first customer and won't be the last, I had to walk away before I got myself in trouble. I have never been treated like this by someone who is supposedly the "department manager" So disappointed and won't be going back for awhile. You'd think you would try to set a better image for yourself especially in this small town sweetie. Also don't post on your public Facebook that you are the department manager if you're going to have such a shitty attitude, how on earth did you get promoted? read more

This McDonald's has been remodeled. The staff was friendly and fast. Overall very clean McDonald's. Looks more like a rustic CO lodge on the inside with rocks, etc. Bathrooms were in great shape as well. Still the McDonald's food but it was put together well. read more

Stopped here on our way through to Blue Mesa Reservoir. Bathrooms were nice, it had been remodeled and looked better than a small town McD's. I was impressed with the staff when I heard the kid (Cashier, Friday Night (7pmish), June 5, 2015), say to a uniformed military guy, "Here is your receipt, Thank you for your service". Made my heart swell. Will come here just because of him anytime we swing by this way. read more

Beyond pathetic. I think we can all agree that McDonald's has held a special place in all of our hearts. Whether it be for a quick meal or the cheapest possible form of nourishment; McDonald's has always been there with a smile. Until now. Picture this: Four 20-something guys on the road headed home from a tiring week of skiing on the nearby mountain, Crested Butte. At approximately 8:25AM one of my travel companions (let's call him Ronnie) had to, as the kids say, "take the browns to the super bowl." Almost like fate, the McDonald's of Gunnison appeared above the horizon. It was perfect...or so we thought. After entering the establishment we were promptly approached by an employee asking if we needed assistance with using their new "kiosk" system. After politely telling him we needed to go to the restroom before ordering, we headed to the rear part of the restaurant. After completing his mission in the restroom, Ronnie realized there was no sanitary paper. Immediately he realized he was stranded. After receiving a short SOS text message, we alerted the man working at the cash register. He said he would alert the manager immediately. After informing Ronnie that help was on the way, we waited. 1...2...5...10...15 minutes pass with no rescue party in sight. We then went to the front of the establishment and were greeted by what seemed to be the manager. After asking again for toilet paper, he seemed like this was all new information, and again assured us help was on the way. After another 10 minutes Ronnie was STILL stranded(now for a total of approximately 30 minutes), we decided to take matters into our own hands and grabbed him a handful of napkins. We promptly left shortly after(they still don't have any toilet paper in the bathroom). Save yourself the hassle and just do your "business" in their lobby. read more

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT MCDONALDS!!! Anybody else??? I don't normally say much about bad service in our town. And I know everyone has bad days. I also see, when I go to McDonald's, how hard they are working and most the time thank them. This about how I was treated and nothing to do with the quality of their food. To start off in all fairness, there are always two sides to a store. I will take ownership of getting upset how I reacted to how I was disrespected. I am not going to say anybody's names, but want to share what happen to me, to the best of my knowledge. I turned on the McDonald's app on my phone. After picking what I wanted to order and adding to the cart, it takes you to pay now. The app doesn't charge you until you choose payment, and then when the app knows you are by the store. Then you let the app know you are here, and then it gives you a few choices of how you want to pick up your order. Drive-through, curb-side, and in-store. I picked in-store. After you pick, it gives you an order number and your card will be charged. So, going in the store with in less than a minute of ordering, and I wait for my number to be called, but it was never called. A few people that came after me, and got their orders and left already. I ask the person at the counter, what is the status of my order and show him my phone with the order number on it. He looks in their cash register order screen and can't finds it. He then goes and gets the store manager. She gets there and looks for my order and right off the bat, in a not-so-great ton of voices, tells me they don't have my order. I show her my phone with the order number and the time it was placed. At that time, it had been about 9 mins. A little more communication goes back and forth with her and I. MCD code? QR scan code, etc, etc. I just wasn't sure what she was asking, and kept showing her my phone with the order number. I couldn't understand what I did to her to be treated so poorly, so I asked her, "Why do you treat me like S#@t when I come here?" My 1stmistake for cussing. And I know she didn't like that, as to tell me, I don't need to use bad words. After that quickly I claimed down and changed my attitude for the better. I did mention, how I know they are hard workers and I appreciate their hard work. We keep talking about my order and I tried to show her my phone order and the charge notification on my phone again. She told me she didn't care what my phone showed, just that my order wasn't in their system. She did some stuff on their screen and walked away. I figured she was putting in what I ordered, so I waited and waited. More people's orders went through, but mine didn't show up. I called her over and asked what is going on with my order? She came back over to me, with a very poor attitude, that she had been showing me the whole time I had been there, and said, "They don't have my order." I once again showed her my MCD order on the app and she then saw the number. She went to a screen by the cooking area and scrolled through the orders. She found my order, and told me it was called 15 mins ago. By that time, I had already been there about 20 to 25 mins. I had been by the pick-up counter and never saw my order and told her I never heard them call my number. She then said, someone else might have picked it up. I bite my tongue, as I know my order was never put on the counter. She ending up putting my order in and I wait for it. She then put the order on the counter and walked away. I was really up-set how she treated me and didn't even give an apology, so I called out to her and asked what I did to be treated so badly. She really didn't want to give me anymore of her time and was short with me. At that point, I figure I might as well, get going. Here is my Mistake #2, I flicked a straw paper that was on the counter on their floor. She saw that and said a few things about that started treating me even worse and was justifying that is why she treated me the way she was. Didn't make since to me. I know it was immature about flicking the paper, thing, but that was at the end of everything that had happened. All my other times I had been there, I have always been respectful. I left the story with very high anxiety and leaving me shaken. Terrible way to start a Monday. I know my rant about what happen here won't hurt business at McDonald's at all and my small order doesn't really matter to them, but I just needed to let this out. I welcome and I really hope she or someone from McDonalds replies to this and gives some insight to this. I just want to know what I did wrong, besides to 2 things I said above, which isn't how the whole issue started anyways. It is nice to learn from our mistakes. I know none of us humans are perfect and all we can do is try to treat each other with respect. Do unto others as you would have done unto you. read more

I understand why this McDonald's only has 2 1/2 stars. Just about the worst experience with an employee by the name of Brianna &nd manager named Angel. As Brianna hands me my order with a nasty disrespectful attitude I ask for extra BBQ sauce &nd she tells me it's in the bag. I didn't ask if it was in the bag I asked for extra sauce she rolls her eyes &nd walks away comes back with 1 packet & I say just 1?!. I bought food for my family &nd 1 isn't enough to go around. She tells me that they charge for extra making it seem like I can't afford 25 cents worth of BBQ sauce so I tell her charge me I don't care!. She mumbles under her breath as she walks away not sure what she said. But comes back and says here with 5 BBQ have a good day. I thought you charged?!. I'm nobody special but I'm paying for food not a nasty fat female to disrespect me when all I asked for was something as stupid as sauce. Angel made it seem like she could care less what I had to say, her response as a manager is "what do you want me to do". How she got that position is beyond me bc she is nothing but incompetent and no better than her employee. If they didn't work there maybe the ratings wouldn't be as bad as they are but this isn't my first bad experience...this topped it though. Wildly inconsistent, the fries are unlike any other McDonald's in United States and not in a good way. Service is typically slow and the employees are fairly disorganized. The hair in my burger tonight really punctuated the visit in an appropriate way. read more

For being next door to a university, it's pathetic. I can barley load up my yahoo on it. If you're looking for internet, every other place in town is better. Stopped here on our way from Denver to Ridgway. I've never felt compelled to review a McDonald's but I gotta say, the manager here is literally the nicest guy in the world. He was super super personable, and his customer service was way better than any fine ding restaurant. We stopped here for something quick heading through town. The place was very busy and still did not get fresh, hot food. They were out of ketchup in the dispenser, were not friendly when you asked for some at the counter, tables were dirty and no toilet paper in one stall in restroom. I've been to this McDonald's 2 days in a row and bought a ten piece nugget meal. The first day I only got nuggets, no fries and no sauce. Today I went and got no sauce and a 6 piece nugget when I ordered a ten. I can honestly not recommend, go to Arby's where they aren't rude and give you the food you ordered. read more

I am a local and was going to this McDonald's most mornings to get a hash brown and large tea. Since I don't have the opportunity to sit down, eat my breakfast and get my free refill on tea there due to time constraints, I would get a refill the next morning and typically pay for a new tea every other day. The last time I visited Gunnison McDonald's, one of the managers waited on me. This was the morning I would normally get my "refill". She stated, "It would be nice if you paid for your drink every now and then" My response, "I pay for it every other time I'm here" Her response, "I've never seen you pay for it" My response, "You've never waited on me before, so how would you know"? SHE THEN STARTED YELLING AT ME that I'm stealing from her. My response, "I'm not stealing from you; you're not the owner" Her response, "I'm the manager so it IS stealing from me". Funny, if I had time to eat in the restaurant, I could have filled my tea as many times as I liked, much more than if I'd gotten my "free" refill every other visit! I thought her response was petty and belittling to one of their daily customers. I will never visit this particular McDonald's again. I've eaten at this McDonald's several times, and while they can be slow to get through even when they're not that busy, most of the time they are okay and get the orders correct. I don't really write reviews, but this one experience angered me so much, I felt I had to say something and get it off my chest. First, I have to say part of the issue involved mishearing the order confirmation correctly and then realizing I didn't get the correct change until after I pulled forward waiting for the second window. That being said, they should have had the correct order on screen to begin with and it didn't help that a diesel truck was behind me making a lot of din. I got to the second window and immediately the young clerk in a very condescending tone of voice said I paid for the wrong order, immediately blaming me for the entire mistake. She said again in a very annoyed condescending voice as though I just made her work more difficult, she had to go in and fix it in the computer, something I'm sure she could have done later, and she could have given me the remaining change I was due. Instead I waited there five additional minutes needlessly. She gave me the change, and she took off without a word, without saying sorry, without any closing acknowledgement.
