12" pizza. Selected our toppings of chicken, spinach and jalapeño's.

When one door is closed another one is open. Our intention was to go to our regular pizza place. They were closed due to circumstances beyond their control. We turned to Yelp. By reviews this place is rated average. Our experience from the service, the good vibes and the food was wonderful! The service was provided by an outgoing young man who treated everyone with the same enthusiasm. I wish I could remember his name to give him proper praise. We were very pleased with our selection of pizza. The crust was some of the best we have ever had. The portions of the toppings were perfect. They also have the coolest shirts. We bought one for our daughter. They are reasonable priced as well. On a side note: there is a discount for cash purchase. They do accept credit card and like so many businesses, they pass along the fee.

Service was great, we got everything the go and it all stayed hot because of the packaging. We loved that. I can't rate the pizza because we had it so much later than picking it up, but overall it was good. Our favorite was definitely the fried raviolis with the marinara. We loved the marinara! Will def be back

Went to Pie-Zan's for dinner and had such a good time. They have a 21+ downstairs bar and eating area which we sat in. We played pool and darts while we waited for our food. Our server was also really nice. The pasta was good but nothing special. I'd definitely come back for a night out with friends tho.

Been wanting to try this place for at least 2 years and they are finally open while I'm in town. Solid deal for $9 slice drink and garlic knots. Not sure why the knots are in oil but at least doesn't make them soggy, they are oily instead. Sauce is ok just not much flavor you can see the tomato and onion in it as it's a little chunky. Service was excellent and looks like the bar has lots of local product. I like a place that does local support !

We stopped in for lunch today & both got the lunch special that is 2 slices & a beverage. Hubs had the pepperoni slices & I had the Ricotta Spinach slices. We also ordered garlic knots. The server was nice and the slices were great! The crust was crispy and the slices are huge! The lunch specials are a great deal. The garlic knots are a bit too oily, but we did eat them...sooo. We will likely be back before leaving town.

I went to check out this pizza spot and there isn't much to speak about. I don't know if it's a Colorado thing but what's with the sprinkling of shredded pork. I ordered a veggie pizza with port amd some buffalo wings . I will admkt that the wings were good but the pizza pie was a disappointment right out the box. I specifically ask the girl behind the counter if they sprinkle shredded sausage she stated no we don't. I was like ok cool. I'm from the eastcoast and we put meat on our pizza the only thing shredded is the cheese. The wings were a combo of habanero and sweet barbeque. I enjoyed them and that's the only thing I would go back there for. They have the nerve to state on there outside window that there pizza is like NY . I don't think so. Im going to just seat this right here.

Best pizza EVER! Staff was friendly a accommodating to our pups. The crust on their pizza is spectacular- crunchy on the rim and chewy on the inside. I had the "Extreme" with no green peppers. The onions HAD to be local. So fresh and sweet! We will definitely be back anytime we're passing through the area.

Inedible cardboard pizza dressed up to look quite tasty
    Kristin M.

If you want a decent calzone, they do well with theirs. The side salad that came with the calzone was also great! However, if you want an edible pizza, this is not the spot! It tastes like cardboard. We should have known when we saw the slice the guy sitting next to us attempted to eat but we thought since we were getting a fresh pie, it would be better. Wrong. That and the service, ugh, the service. I know people are running thin these days and I totally get that. But when the server never once checks on you yet you see her standing around chatting and vaping, that's not cool. At least go outside so we can't see you ignoring your customers! And the manager made it all 10 times worse. She was the rudest human I've encountered in a long time. Had we just ordered the calzone and salad and took it to go, I would have given this restaurant 5 stars.

    Large Pizza

We stopped into this place for a quick lunch and ordered a large pizza to share. The pizza crust which is super important to any pizza was bland and tasteless. Very generic and almost cardboard in taste. Very disappointing and we didn't even finish our pizza. We only ate enough to silence our starving bellies and discarded the rest. Good money wasted! Perhaps all the other customers ordering there sandwiches instead their pizza should have given us a clue on what to order and what not too but we are not from here and was just passing through.

Homemade chips came with the Gyro, great sprinkled with parm.

For parking you can either park next-door at a closedown store or try and find street parking for Tuesday with the World Cup being on it was a little busy and the weather was so they had the sliding doors open and you could either choose to sit inside or outside on the patio. Since it was a nice light breezy 90° day most people chose to sit outside, so all the patio tables were taken. We were told we could sit anywhere and they brought us a menu as soon as we seated. Are we just walked away and brought us back two glasses and a big craft of water. She gave us a few minutes to look over the menu which I do appreciate. But when she came back, asked if we had any questions I asked her how big the kids tiny burger was she said it's like the size of a slider and it came with nothing on it, but you could add whatever you wanted. I ended up going with the tiny burger off of the kids menu adding mayonnaise, lettuce, onion, and the bacon marmalade. My coworker ordered the same and a shredding tots. Food came out in a respectable amount of time. It was hot and fresh. You can see right into the kitchen as it is an old food trailer that they have set up as the cooking area, which was really cool. The waitress was bringing out food for other patrons. We noticed the size of the burgers and we were glad that we got the tiny ones. first bite of the burger was absolutely fabulous. It was juicy just enough pink and the flavors with the bacon marmalade out of this world. I did try one of my coworkers shredding. They were fabulous also with just a hint of blue cheese mixed in with the potato. Definitely a must try and will be going back the next time. I am in town.

Super friendly service and very accommodating for my no dairy requirements. I had the veggie burger, which was probably the best veggie burger I've ever had. Of course, I forgot to take a pic, but, I did manage to document my eating mates selections. See those pics - albeit, half eaten. Upgrade your order to the sweet potato tots, don't even hesitate, they're healthy and come with a mustard seed aioli sauce that makes the whole meal 360 degrees of scrumptiousness. I wish I had room in my pie hole for the donut ice cream sandwich - my only regret. Go off your intended route to try this place. McDonald's and Taco Bell don't need you. They have a nice sized patio area with about 7 spaced out tables and a couple of chairs for the to go orders. There is a huge pine tree for shade as well. Simple menu written on a chalk board because it varies daily. The prices seem appropriate for a quality food truck and for the area as well. I was already debating the Philly or the shrimp poboy depending on what they had and it turned out to be the poboy. Order didn't take long and then my huge sandwich arrived. It came with a small bag of chips, but the sandwich itself is huge and loaded. The sandwich is on a soft hogie rather than the traditional french type of bread, but it's delicious and fresh . The shrimp (plump, perfectly cooked and plenty) is in a kind of dark cajun remoulade mixed with bacon and sauteed onions with multi colored bell peppers. Oh, and it has lettuce so you don't feel bad about eating it all in one sitting! :) Overall, I loved it! Bursting with flavor in every bite! Felt more like a Cajun shrimp Philly minus the cheese. Only if I was to be the one to name it of course! There is no such thing as a shrimp Philly though...yet! Oh, and ask for a fork or to have them cut it in half or you will be using way more napkins than necessary! ;-) Met Kevin, ones of the owners and he was very nice and easy to talk to. Nice place to stop if you are passing through or if you are a local, what are you waiting for!? Try them out before they go on their winter vacation! :) Or just make sure you try them out when you get a chance. They'll be back. I hope!

The wine list is very nice, and you won't break the bank -- especially at happy hour, with two dollars off each glass of wine between 5 and 7 PM. We had the House Malbec, from Mendoza, Argentina, and it had a delicious flavor and aroma. It was a full bodied and smooth, dark red offering. For an appetizer, we had the Shishati grilled peppers with pesto/cilantro sauce, and they were just fantastic. They are mild, nicely grilled, and beautifully presented. It is served as an appetizer, but please be warned, one out of every nine peppers is exceedingly hot. We had about 12 peppers, and all of them were mild, so we beat the odds! I've had hamburgers all over the world, and I can honestly say I have not had a better cheeseburger than I got right here from the menu at Blackstock. It's in a traditional bun, lightly toasted, with tempura, onion, cracked pepper, mayo, Tabasco, candied and smoked bacon, and it is served with Hand-cut fries. You can add guacamole for a dollar, or blue cheese or Gruyere cheese for another dollar. But I did not add a thing; it was perfect as it came out of the kitchen for me! You will be asked how you want your hamburger cooked, and I chose medium. It could not have been better! It's on the menu at a very fair $21 including your hand-cut fries. My lovely dinner-date had the petite filet mignon, a 5-ounce offering of spectacular steak, served with goat cheese, potato croquettes, asparagus, stewed shallots, served with a Cabernet Demi glaze at $45. It was a large serving, I believe bigger than 5 ounces, because we are taking half of it home in a to-go box! Again, the food was spectacular... really good. We will finish with the flourless chocolate torte, serve with whipped cream and Amarina dark cherries at $11. If I was a betting man, I'd say you're gonna love this place! Take a few pictures, do what I did, and leave a review, because more people need to know the quality of food coming out of this little storefront on a busy street in Gunnison! And if you ask for Danielle, be advised, he's a great server and you will get exactly what you need! He's very attentive, and charming.

More recently, we sat at the bar last week to enjoy both happy hour, and the ramen menu. The bartender was great, and checked in with us regularly. We started with a small plate of the bistro fries - which comes covered in Truffle Oil, Herbs de Provence, and Parmesan Cheese - they're super good, and would say better than a certain CB restaurant's crack fries. The small order was plenty for the three of us to share. For drinks, we started with wine, beer, and I had a mojito. The mojito wasn't my favorite - for some reason, it was really sweet. Second drink was a glass of Sauvignon blanc, which went well with the ramen. On to the ramen - I went with the Boo-Tan-E-Koo Pork broth, traditional wavy noodles, pork belly, poached egg, tempura, green onion, buttered sweet corn, chile thread, fresh ginger, sesame seeds. It was delicious, flavorful, and I couldn't get through the whole bowl (I took about half of it home). That was my first time taking ramen home, and would note it heated up nicely for lunch the next day. We will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!
