Jalapeño poppers - what you would expect
    Bailey L.

Service was great, we got everything the go and it all stayed hot because of the packaging. We loved that. I can't rate the pizza because we had it so much later than picking it up, but overall it was good. Our favorite was definitely the fried raviolis with the marinara. We loved the marinara! Will def be back

Went to Pie-Zan's for dinner and had such a good time. They have a 21+ downstairs bar and eating area which we sat in. We played pool and darts while we waited for our food. Our server was also really nice. The pasta was good but nothing special. I'd definitely come back for a night out with friends tho.

Been wanting to try this place for at least 2 years and they are finally open while I'm in town. Solid deal for $9 slice drink and garlic knots. Not sure why the knots are in oil but at least doesn't make them soggy, they are oily instead. Sauce is ok just not much flavor you can see the tomato and onion in it as it's a little chunky. Service was excellent and looks like the bar has lots of local product. I like a place that does local support !

We stopped in for lunch today & both got the lunch special that is 2 slices & a beverage. Hubs had the pepperoni slices & I had the Ricotta Spinach slices. We also ordered garlic knots. The server was nice and the slices were great! The crust was crispy and the slices are huge! The lunch specials are a great deal. The garlic knots are a bit too oily, but we did eat them...sooo. We will likely be back before leaving town.

I went to check out this pizza spot and there isn't much to speak about. I don't know if it's a Colorado thing but what's with the sprinkling of shredded pork. I ordered a veggie pizza with port amd some buffalo wings . I will admkt that the wings were good but the pizza pie was a disappointment right out the box. I specifically ask the girl behind the counter if they sprinkle shredded sausage she stated no we don't. I was like ok cool. I'm from the eastcoast and we put meat on our pizza the only thing shredded is the cheese. The wings were a combo of habanero and sweet barbeque. I enjoyed them and that's the only thing I would go back there for. They have the nerve to state on there outside window that there pizza is like NY . I don't think so. Im going to just seat this right here.

Best pizza EVER! Staff was friendly a accommodating to our pups. The crust on their pizza is spectacular- crunchy on the rim and chewy on the inside. I had the "Extreme" with no green peppers. The onions HAD to be local. So fresh and sweet! We will definitely be back anytime we're passing through the area.

Inedible cardboard pizza dressed up to look quite tasty
    Kristin M.

If you want a decent calzone, they do well with theirs. The side salad that came with the calzone was also great! However, if you want an edible pizza, this is not the spot! It tastes like cardboard. We should have known when we saw the slice the guy sitting next to us attempted to eat but we thought since we were getting a fresh pie, it would be better. Wrong. That and the service, ugh, the service. I know people are running thin these days and I totally get that. But when the server never once checks on you yet you see her standing around chatting and vaping, that's not cool. At least go outside so we can't see you ignoring your customers! And the manager made it all 10 times worse. She was the rudest human I've encountered in a long time. Had we just ordered the calzone and salad and took it to go, I would have given this restaurant 5 stars.

    Large Pizza

We stopped into this place for a quick lunch and ordered a large pizza to share. The pizza crust which is super important to any pizza was bland and tasteless. Very generic and almost cardboard in taste. Very disappointing and we didn't even finish our pizza. We only ate enough to silence our starving bellies and discarded the rest. Good money wasted! Perhaps all the other customers ordering there sandwiches instead their pizza should have given us a clue on what to order and what not too but we are not from here and was just passing through.

Homemade chips came with the Gyro, great sprinkled with parm.

Pizza--and buttered spaghetti w meatball for the younger diner--arrived quickly enough and we dug in. Mario's pizza stands out as "normal" pizza with every ingredient and flavor on point. You'll have to drive a long way to find any on par with Mario's pies. They're in my top three Colorado mountain town pizza joints and I've been to my fair share. The meatball from the kids' spaghetti was moist and tasty--good, not great. Five stars for simple excellence, good service, and the 60-70s pizza joint decor.

When we arrived, we were initially told dogs weren't allowed. I explained that our dog is extremely well-behaved and simply lays quietly under the table. The hostess said that was fine and seated us at a table right next to the outdoor area. After we sat down, three different employees approached us asking whether our dog was a service animal, even though another staff member had already approved her being there. By that point, we felt singled out and uncomfortable. The final employee was particularly rude and suggested we could tie "it" to a tree if we wanted to eat there. Referring to our dog as "it" and suggesting we leave her tied outside was shocking and unnecessary. Rather than continue feeling unwelcome, we decided to order a pizza to go. We had planned to stay for drinks, appetizers, and dinner, but instead we ate in our car. The prosciutto pizza was decent, but it was much saltier than we expected. At that point, we were just hungry and wanted to leave. What was most disappointing wasn't the dog policy itself--businesses are absolutely entitled to set their own policies. It was the inconsistent communication and the way we were treated after being told it was okay to stay. Instead, the experience left us feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

I've read a lot of reviews and I could see when things get busy the servers could start to lose their attention to all the tables they are over. The kitchen from what I've seen was consistently putting out good food. The only complaint I have and it's aimed at the owners is why do you charge/force a 3.5% fee/extortion on each bill/check to your customers... it's not Las Vegas and that's the only place where I've seen it constantly pushed, however in Las Vegas you can request it be removed and it is. SUMMARY: Mediocre food…read more Despite the great reputation, well adorned facility, stellar location, and impressive menu, everything I ordered proved consistently disappointing. Calling this food ordinary is, at best, an overstatement. At each turn, my efforts invoked in salvaging the (food) entries was met with failure. Starting with a simple Caesar salad, the lettuce tasted several days old. Drenched in ordinary tasting salad dressing, the romaine lettuce became soggy from the presence of excessive dressing. The dressing was too strong in taste, akin to store bought lower priced varieties, and from this, proved difficult to eat. The portion was generous, however. WARNING: Do not order the minestrone soup. To explain: The minestrone soup proved ultra disappointing. With the amount that I paid, $12, for a bowl, I was expecting it to be of meal-like quality. Instead, it was also challenging to consume, being so vinegary, possessing a handful of some tomato slices and little else. It arrived lukewarm. Instead of ample carrots, beans, celery, onion, etc., with typically a delicious broth, all that I could detect was slimy tomato slices in a pool of vinegar. The "chef" needs to study quality minestrone soup recipes and completely start over, especially if customers are charged $12 for such. I was so looking forward to a quality and hearty minestrone soup. I haven't tasted anything so pathetic yet simultaneously overpriced, in years. Have they tasted this? It pains me to speak so passionately about something like this. But it was a disaster. The house bread? It was crunchy, also seeming to be dated, not stale, just not fresh. It wasn't warm. It was dry. The garlic butter was fine, but following the theme, ordinary, at best. I tried everything to make at least the bread come alive, heaping massive piles of garlic butter on it. Nothing could rescue the bread either. No olive oil was to be found anywhere on the table or tables in my vicinity. Very friendly staff was present, but their inexperience and lack of polish became annoying. Whatever virtue that the "soup" might have had was lost as it got even colder while she was talking ceaselessly to me. Yes, it arrived lukewarm before she was conversing. Friendly service, even if awfully informal, can't compensate for such a poor price - value relationship and mediocre food. I cannot recommend this restaurant. Perhaps they do a superior job on pasta dishes. Yet, upon perusing the menu, I couldn't find just a small or half portion of spaghetti. A jr. high aged boy near me somehow managed to order a small plate of spaghetti. While it looked ordinary, such would likely have proven sufficient tonight, even if such was likely only available on the children's menu. If this restaurant once served fresh and delicious food, something, at least of late, has woefully gone awry in the kitchen.
