This is the worst fast food experience that I've ever had. We waited for about 25 minutes for our food. The lobby was full of unhappy people waiting for food, and we saw bags and bags and bags going outside that couldn't possibly have been ahead of us. The floor in the back was covered in trash. The worker apologized for our excessive wait and gave us an extra hash browns. But we were now 30 minutes late for our event. read more

absolutely terrible experience every time I go to this place, it's a deserved 1 star all the way not once have they gotten any order correct, it was simple... I ordered a large #10 for my girlfriend with no breakfast sauce (it's a sausage bagel meal) it even says so on the receipt and they managed to give her a bacon egg and cheese bagel instead, and it's always like this every time with no exceptions, I don't know if yall need to fire people and hire high schoolers with a higher IQ but something needs to change. Went during lunch time and know it can get busy. After 30 minutes of waiting, they give me my half of my order. After politely expressing my concerns, the lady at the front completely ignored me (most definitely heard me) and continued to go back and hide from me by the fry station. The awesome guy running the food outside at lunch time on 09/28/2023 asked me if i needed something, and he gets my food in less than a minute. I waited an 56 minutes for my order. The worst McDonalds. I will now be going to to the next city over due to the horrible customer service and the constant mistakes with my orders. I'm not a fan of cooking so I eat out a lot and the location is right around the corner from me. The employees will argue with you and roll their eyes whenever you point out that something is wrong with the order even when you have your receipt. The last 3 times my drinks were wrong and I was parked and waited nearly 10 min for the correct drinks each time. The drinks usually are running down the sides of the cups and dripping wet when they hand them to you. They rush through your order when they are taking it them that you can't even see if they are ringing them up correctly because they usually aren't. read more

This place has been a hot mess lately due to COVID. My last three trips(it's an easy stop on the way home after grabbing my kids from their sporting events) have entailed: 1) Watching the manager walk out and the dishwasher delivering my food after 30 minutes - with a mobile order 2) A long wait in the drive through(20min) with four other cars due to short staff but at least my two mcdoubles with no bun(eating low carb) was hot, however when they handed me my bag, the to go containers were sideways.... 3) waiting 45min for a mobile order, after 25 min I moved to drive through, waited 15 min and literally did not move and ended up backing out and leaving and submitting a complaint to get a refund since my food was paid for via the app.... When you get your food, I rarely have problems. But staffing has been really bad the last few months(I even got an apology via email from the owner). Ice cream machine is also down a bunch, but that is typical for McDonald's. read more

The trade off for almost inedible food has been the agreement that the fast food will be, in fact, fast. Well, I sit here writing this review from reserved drive thru spot #1 where I have been sitting for the past 27 minutes. People have came and gone, parked next to me and gotten their food without so much as a word or glance from the employees. Im not usually one to complain about these things and won't be taking it out on the staff personally but I do find this to be pretty damn ridiculous. Not only have they seemed to have forgotten about our rather small order of a Big Mac and nuggets, but both employees at each window seemed to have a rather large stick up their rear that left something to be desired with their poor customer service. Something I'd happily ignore if their food was anything above subpar or if I haven't now been waiting 35 minutes. I've wasted my time and gas at this point, having unfortunately kept my car running for almost the past 40 minutes. All I can say is I do not recommend this place even if you are dying of hunger and thirst as you will shrivel up and die before they manage to remember you're there. read more

Went there twice now asked for a caramel frappe paid for it got to the second window to tell me they didn't have it and didn't even give me my money back. Second time going there asked for a hot fudge Sunday they actually caught it at the first window asked if I wanted to trade it out for a caramel frappe I said yes got to the second window they gave me a mini and put chocolate drizzle and no whipped cream saying they don't serve it at this time 5:20pm If I could give them 0 stars I definitely would at this point. read more

This is the absolute worst McDonald's in the area. Even at the drive-thru on multiple occasions I have had to wait at least 15 to 20 minutes for food. Anytime that they have gotten my order out quickly it was incorrect. The woman that appears to be the manager at this location needs removed from the job and shouldn't even be washing the dishes. Her customer service skills are so severely lacking I think she needs to work somewhere with no public interaction. There are several other McDonald's not very far away, it's worth the time to drive a few minutes further and patronize one of those. This is NOT a location anyone should be patronizing. An absolute disaster. All I can say about my recent experience is wow. I am not one to make many complaints about fast food restaurants. I'm a firm believer that fast food employees are a bit underplayed and very over worked. Regardless of how grueling the tasks are for ones brain (pretty mindless work in this case) we can't ignore how physically and mentally draining working somewhere like this is. With that being said, I don't necessarily find it often to critique the bad moods employees often come associated at fast food establishments. However, in this case, it is well warranted I do believe. Let's start with the measly details of why I initially made contact with them via the phone. Last night, around 11pm after quite a long day in which I spent 10 hours working and then another 5 at the hospital I decided that rather than go home and cook I would just go through the drive thru at my local McDonald's. Not the greatest choice as it turns out. When I arrived at the speaker, A man came over the speaker and told me to "hold on just a moment" and so I did. About five minutes past at that speaker and I noticed that cars in the other line were all making their way through. So at this point I back up and enter that line where I was served after about 30 seconds. Great. Now I've entered the line for the first window, where I was greeted promptly and the money exchange was normal. Awesome. Rocky start but now we're on a roll. The time spent between window number one and window number two however was not so amazing. I lost track of time, but after about 5 minutes of waiting I would say, I turned my car off. (I was low on gas and I have a habit of waiting until the last second). 15 minutes after that my car shuts completely off (Bluetooth disconnects and that's how I know 15 minutes have passed lol). When that happened I was less than satisfied but I get it, these things happen I guess? Although having worked at a fast food restaurant for two years during high school I can assure you no items in that restaurant take longer than 5 minutes to cook. Benefit of the doubt given though. When we finally began to move again, it was maybe another 10 minutes before I reached the window. Upon reaching the second window the man (who I'm going to assume is the man from the speaker based on both his voice and my next interactions with him) who opened the window appeared to be in quite a bad mood. Obviously I can't dissect why, but what I can tell you is I was treated as such that it was my fault he was in a bad mood. When he handed me my food he was extremely rude. I nearly dropped the bag because to say he tossed it at me would be an understatement. Then he said "have a good day" (under enthusiastically to say the least lol) so I gently reminded him that I had ordered a large coke that I hadn't received yet. He rolled his eyes and slammed the window as he prepared me a large coke. Please keep in mind if you've ever had experiences like this, to try to keep cool. As I mentioned previously I truly believe if these people were payed just a bit more or treated like humans instead of work mules this situation wouldn't happen this often. Anyways. Back to the story. So he opened back up the window and proceeded to hand me a half full large cup. At this point I'm weary of even bringing it up but to be honest I just wanted a full coke so I said "could you fill that up with a little more coke for me please " and even though he rolled his eyes upon my request and once again slammed the window shut I thanked him. (Trying to kill em with kindness here people). Then, I watch him walk over to a separate freezer where they keep just ice (I assume for their smoothies) and pick up a handful of ice with his dirty grubby ungloved hand and throw it into my drink. OY. VEY. To be honest at this point I couldn't help myself but to laugh, because who even does that? when he came back to the window I said, "did you just go over there and throw ice in there with your bare hand?" And he literally looked at me like he didn't know I could see him for a good 10 seconds before saying, "w-well yeah." To which I responded - STILL NOT RUDELY - "I just wanted some more coke in there, not more ice". He just stared at me for what felt like forever but I'd venture to guess was about five seconds. So then I said, "can you just make me a new coke please?" He rolled his eyes again and started the new coke. Didn't slam the window this time ladies and gents. Instead he made sure I heard him say "fucking idiots" aloud. Once he handed me my coke I left the establishment and that was that. read more

This is the worst McDonald's I have EVER been to. So much so, it has inspired me to write my first ever yelp review. Lady at the drive through was very rude, wouldn't let us do two orders despite one of the people in my car being an ex employee who said it wasn't so. Secondly, I paid for a shot of espresso and didn't get it. I asked for sugar free vanilla and got regular, and they didn't even bother to mix it. This is the WORST McDonald's around. Last time we went we ordered 2 espressos with our food. The girl acted like she didn't know what we were talking about and had to ask if getting an espresso was "a thing." Hello, you have an espresso machine! Then they made us pull forward because they were waiting on our coffees. We sat there for more than 10 minutes while car after car behind us was given their food and left. Finally my husband went in and they didn't even remember that they had told us pull forward and the coffees were sitting on the counter already made and practically cold. We went through the drive thru and we waited well over 7 minutes in the second window without anyone saying anything to us. (I get that they have to make the food or are busy, but at least say something about it)They finally open the window and the girl shoves the bag outside roughly and still says nothing to us. As soon as we grab the bag she turns away and once again, says nothing to us. It was just a very rude attitude. When we checked the bag there was one item missing and two sandwiches were thrown in there with no care and were open. On March 27th, Easter Sunday afternoon, I pulled into Taco Bell on North Cedar Street in Holt and parked in a parking spot toward the end of the building. During this time, the news was on the radio and it was very nice weather-wise outside so I decided to sit and listen to "NPR" and relax before ordering. About 45 minutes to an hour later I realized that quite a bit of time had passed while I had been sitting there, listening to the radio, doing a crossword puzzle and enjoying the warm weather. I hadn't been paying attention to the time, but little did I know someone else was. A worker at the neighboring McDonald's. I decided that I didn't want to eat tacos and drove over to the McDonalds next door at 2400 North Cedar Street. I proceeded to the drive through and placed my order; got my food and drove back around and parked 4 spots after the doors along- side the building. At this time , a radio program I enjoy was on the radio. It was 4:00 PM. After listening to the show for about ten minutes, I started to eat my meal. Shortly after finishing my first item, I saw who appeared to be a McDonald's manager in my rear view mirror with her phone out pointed toward the back of my truck. I didn't think anything of it because I wasn't doing anything wrong. I thought she was watching something on her phone and had it up to deflect the sun. Shortly after, to my surprise, two Ingham County Sheriff officers knocked on my window. One approached my window while the other officer stayed behind him. I rolled down my window and acknowledged him. The officer asked me what I was doing. I told him that I was relaxing in my truck, enjoying the weather and eating my food. I then showed him my bag of food. He then responded with, "You aren't here watching people walk by?" I told him "no". The officer then said, "That's what parks are for". He asked if I had been parked at the Taco Bell next door before coming to McDonald's and I told him I had been. I explained to the officer that I was eating in my truck because I suffer from social anxiety . The officer asked for my driver's license and took it to his car. Even though I had done nothing wrong, I gave it to him. When he returned to my truck, I asked if I needed to leave and the officer said yes. The officers were polite and I realized, doing their job, but I still felt shaken and unsettled that I had to leave, because I was doing nothing wrong and I hadn't even finished my meal. Many restaurant patrons eat their meals purchased in the drive through in the parking lots of the restaurant without issue. I thought about the manager and her phone and the fact that she most likely saw me parked at Taco Bell. Before driving away, I mentioned to the officer that if "she" (meaning the manager) felt I was doing something wrong or posing some type of threat, then she should have spoken to me personally. The officer responded with , "I know." This entire incident has been very upsetting to me. I had been having a peaceful day. I had been enjoying the weather. Due to my social anxiety, I don't go into restaurants to eat and daily eat in my truck. Just as people sit in the park or at the mall and watch their surroundings, I do this in my truck. I enjoy listening to my radio, being outside, watching traffic and eating my meal while doing so. I don't feel I should have to go to a park to do this. If one drives down past fast food restaurants, I am sure that many people can be found eating food in parking spaces outside of the restaurant. This incident still upsets today. If I had been a young teen texting on their phone and not a middle aged, graying Hispanic man, I wonder if she would have still called the police. She ruined my Easter Sunday and I will never patronize that McDonald's ever again. I didn't break any laws but in this case, it was decided that I had no right to be there. This is wrong on so many levels. I only hope that my story can help prevent future issues for others. read more

Horribly horribly bad. Went there on a Saturday night at nine. At the drive through I sat waiting to place my order, no one said a word through the speaker for 5 minutes straight. I finally started saying hello and got no response. Finally someone said hi how can I help you, but it was so quiet I could barely hear a thing. I asked for a med fry and small Diet Coke. A whole 2 mins later he said $2.12 pull through. I then sat in line for 15 mins before even reaching the first window, only 3 cars in front of me. The car directly in front of me straight up pulled out of line and left which I was also about to do. I couldn't believe how it was taking so long. I finally got to the pay window, the girl got my order totally wrong and the price. When I questioned the price b/c I was told 2.12 she literally just laughed and grabbed my card. Her and the manager fumbled around with the cash and the drawer for a few mins, there was obviously a problem and I'm just sitting there waiting for my card back the whole time. 7 mins later I get to the 2nd window, I waited 4 mins before someone even came to the window! where they hand me the wrong order, something totally different. I give it back and tell them what I should have, they hand me the opposite, a small fry and a med coke. I again tell them it's wrong. They finally give me the correct order. I ask for ketchup which was a huge mistake. She left for another 3 minutes and finally comes back with two handfuls of ketchup and tries to hand them all to me, I'm like dude I only need 2 not 30! Like literally wtf is wrong with these people? This lady I assume was the manager, she had very short hair. She was running around the store like a maniac the whole time. I kid you not I spent 30 minutes in this drive through. And SO much went wrong. I have never written a review for anything before but I had to say something about this. My mind is still blown how a McDonald's could have been run so bad. But I guess what would you expect from a fucking McDonald's, crackheads work there. read more
