We stopped by this Culver's location while traveling back home (Columbus, OH) from my sister-in-law's surprise birthday party! From the get-go, everything customer-service related was a no-go! - The line was literally out the door @ 1 PM on a Sunday. While a couple of employees were taking orders, we saw quite a few standing at the counter doing nothing or standing there with their phones. - Horrible customer service - from ordering our meals to realizing we weren't provided fries for any of our combo meals (after they hand-delivered our food/tray to our table) to having to go back up to the counter (with my receipt to show that we had three combo meals AND fries) to the servers getting upset about us asking about our missing fries to them then slamming fresh fries down on the counter (assuming from frustration/being upset). Totally uncalled for in my opinion! Aside from the poor customer service at the counter, the food was actually good! The food was delicious and fresh per usual! I had the Chicken Tenders Basket while our daughter had the Kids Chicken Tender Basket. Our chicken tenders came out fresh, hot (temperature), and crispy (the perfect kind of crispy - chicken was not dry)! Our daughter always orders a side of cheese sauce for dipping as well! It's really good - I get it from time to time too! My husband ordered the Culver's Deluxe Double Basket. He really enjoyed his burger and shared that everything was super fresh! While the food was tasty, hot, and fresh, I'm not sure if this offsets how the employees make their customers feel. I do not recommend this Culver's location! Consistent and delicious! I've been to this Culver's location a handful of times over the years and am always satisfied with the quality and consistency of the food and service! The staff is always really friendly, patient and efficient, also keeping the restaurant very clean! As far as the food goes, it's consistent with all the good Culver's restaurants I've been to and always hits the spot! read more

This location consistently has subpar service. I only went there because it was the closest location to where I was driving by. I ordered my food and on the screen it was correct, but when I got home and reached into the bag to pull out my burger, I realized the box was empty and the burger with cheese and lettuce was at the bottom of the bag instead of in the box. And it didn't appear to have fallen out, it was clean in the burger box, but must've been thrown into the bag alone and then the box was laid on top? There was so much grease soaking through the bottom of the bag. It also was not the way I ordered it. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce. They gave me a cheeseburger with lettuce and onion. Because of the placement of the actual burger patty it was cold by the time I sat down to eat it. Just a bummer when you're craving a good burger. I did call and they said they'd make me a new one, but that means I have to go back to get it corrected, which isn't super convenient. This location is always fast service no matter what time of day! The staff is friendly and always in good spirits.

The wait wasn't bad (but we were there after the supper rush). However, we ordered a total of 3 fries (1 in the kids meal and 2 with our burgers). We received only the kids meal fry. When we went back to the counter they gave us one more fry but told us the kids meal fry was our other fry, despite that our receipt had all 3 fries listed. After another trip to the counter, they finally gave us our 3rd fry. Also asked for no tomato and despite it being on the ticket, the kitchen still put tomato on the burger (not a big deal for me but might be for some ) read more

would give zero stars if i could. i came a few days ago got two double burgers plain and one deluxe (everything on it) all of them were plain, so i drove back around and the lady took my bag and receipt back and she couldn't seem to understand what i was telling her so she grabbed someone else and then they grabbed another person, like they just couldn't understand what was wrong, once they figured it out they told me to pull around and would have it for me. 7 cars were behind me, all of them got their food before me, finally a worker came up and asked what i had, i told her she goes "oh yeah i saw that it's been sitting back there". so my order was just sitting back there for whatever reason, place was being ran by teenagers. not happy, the grand ledge location is WAY better. read more

They have been closed at random times and hours for the past few months which I assume is due to lack of staff like many places. Sometimes they close at 4pm, sometimes 5pm, today was 6pm. Today I found out they were closed as it was my turn at the drive thru speaker after waiting in a long line. It would be nice if they could at least post a closing early sign at the start of the line so customers don't bother waiting. Especially since there's no indoor dining, so waiting in the drive thru is the only option. Even before the spotty hours though the service at this location is pretty bad. Half of the time the order is wrong or missing something. The food is good when you get the correct order and they are open but it's so unreliable that I can't come here anymore. This location in south Lansing can be very hit or miss. My kids love stopping for custard so we frequent this location almost weekly. However, for the last two weeks they have not had custard and are closing early(6pm). What Culver's doesn't have custard??? However, if you are looking for a quick sandwich or meal around lunch, I typically have no regrets. When you get near dinner though - be prepared to wait 20+ minutes. The lack of custard may very well be a deal breaker for most, however, if you just want a chicken sandwich or a burger and crave some ice cream - head south on cedar and swing by Sweet Sensations, they are never out of ice cream. read more

I recently found out about Culver's at my work in Madison Heights. I decided to get it out here, and sadly it was not as great as the other location. The wait alone in drive-thru took up almost my ebtire 1 hr lunch, which is insane!!! There was a long line of cars waiting. I understand freshness, but this was a bit ridiculous. When I finally got my food, I had to drive to my training and eat really fast. I asked for extra cheese sauce for my fries, but I only got one sadly. The fries were fresh at first, but near the bottom they tasted a but old and oily. Weird. The burger was good, but more oil than the other burger I had last time. I am happy they gave me ketchup at least to hide the oil. Grabbing the burger alone, squeezed out a lot of oil. The bun on the bottom was slightly wet from the oil. I am considering possibly giving them another chance this week, to see if it was a fluke. I am hoping this visit was a huge fluke because I really liked Culver's. read more

It is astonishing how incompetent the service here is. What motivated me to write this review is that 6 SEPARATE TIMES in a row they have gotten my order wrong. And not just wrong but nowhere near close to what I asked for. Now, I understand that I'm a bit of a dummy for continuing to go back to a place that consistently fails to give me what I paid for. But I love Culver's and would generally highly recommend someone go to any of their other locations (the one is Okemos is particularly good). The one on Pennsylvania? They can't even make a cheeseburger without instead giving you an order of 3 medium cheese curds instead. Additionally, the service is PAINFULLY slow. It would be one thing if they took a while but gave you the correct order. But waiting 30 minutes and THEN they give you the wrong food? Unacceptable. I get if you are a teen and this is your first job you're not going to be an ace yet. That's 100% ok. I also understand that mistakes happen on occasion. But combine all of the above with a very disrespectful attitude demonstrated by the employees when you inform them your order is wrong (as if YOU, and not the Culver's employees, are the problem) and you have a thoroughly terrible restaurant. Today wasn't the first time I've been to Lansing's S. Pennsylvania Culver's, but it will probably be the last. I've been to Culver's all across the country, and have had a great experience at every one - with the exception of the S. Pennsylvania Culver's. The first time we went the cashier was rude. The second time we provided coupons but this particular Culver's wouldn't accept coupons from one of the other local Culver's. Today, they wouldn't accept a coupon that expired 3/25/19. EVERY other Culver's I've ever been to has ALWAYS accepted another Culver's coupon - EVEN EXPIRED ONES! I might not have minded as much if the cashier would have been pleasant, but once again there was someone rude working the counter. It's a shame I can't enjoy the Culver's closest to me. read more

Although I love Culver's, I'm disappointed to say that this was the worst experience I've had at Culver's. My boyfriend and I tried to order a short concrete mixer and a regular concrete mixer, and were instead charged for and given 2 regulars, more than we wanted to pay for or eat. Also, they were out of all custard except the flavor of the day so we were forced to get that kind. Finally, the flavor of the day was supposed to have chocolate cheesecake and hot fudge in it, but was basically just chocolate custard with no toppings. read more

Great food, subpar service. Out of 6 visits since they've been open, only once have they gotten everything right. I'm not someone with a big complicated order, I just want a burger basket and a drink. They NEVER get my drink right. I like cherry pepsi, they without fail either give me regular pepsi or diet pepsi, never what I actually order. Once I picked up food for myself, my boyfriend and his sister, they forgot a whole burger. I've never had such consistently bad service anywhere. Inside I've never had an issue, but the drive through is awful, there's no accountability. The drive thru states they are closed when you pull up, then nobody says anything a half hour before they close. Go inside and nobody knows who is doing what and people standing everywhere. This location is frankly an embarrassment to the Culver's brand. I live right around the corner from this one and so I made an error in judgment and went there for three visits. All three times, the person on the drive thru was short with me and they refused to offer a pop choice because they had to go into the dining room area to get it, rather than the drive thru pop machine. Of the six times that I have been there, three times my orders have been messed up. The owner Kevin Scott is a complete and total douche bag, he constantly belittles his employees to the point that they hate coming to work there. He literally screams at his employees. The working environment is awful and the result is low quality food and service. Ok, I have given this place many many chances over the couple years in the area. Worst place ever! First visit spent about 20 minutes to get one meal. Cold, nasty, greasy. Second visit still a ridiculous wait ( I have had sit down meals come out faster), rude service and when I got home missing half the order! Should of checked due to the incompetence so that is on me. Third visit more than half an hour wait (with 3 cars ahead of mine) again disgusting food but my niece wanted to visit this train wreck of a place. Fourth came here for ice cream/"custard", they had none, drove off. Half a year later wanted to try again the other night. Took 42 minutes!!!! Ordered one burger for my niece, one medium mixer and one small custard. 42 literal minutes!!!!!!! Mind you, brought the burger out in 25 minutes or so and took the rest of the time to figure out how to pull a handle down into a cup to produce 2 soft serve POS! Now....I know it's hard to find help right now but this is over years. Oh, and they had enough help for one kid to come out and tell me to pull forward blocking the way for anyone pulling through!
