Two stars because whether I like it or not I love McDonalds but it really only deserves one. We went here, and dined in no less!, to try the new Big Mac chicken sandwich. It was delicious of course. However it took them a full 13 minutes to prepare. I know that places are all short staffed but I watched at least three employees come out of the kitchen with food as we waited for our order. Also weird that the man cleaning the floors is allowed to listen to his own music, fairly loud, while there is already music playing in there anyhow. read more

Don't know if that's a new policy across all McDonald's, but now you need to 'add napkins' to your order. There's no napkins dispensers anymore. A bit ridiculous... They're still free, but you just need to add them to your order. Employees were not friendly.... You wait at the counter and they simply ignore you. One of the employees gave an earful to a little girl who had ordered dipping sauce without having ordered McNuggets... Come on... She felt the need to be the Dipping Sauce Police and teach that little girl a lesson? The BigMac needed reassembly. We were heading north for the day, but we left later than normal and wouldn't make it to the usual McDonald's and thought about skipping breakfast all together. That thought changed when we were overcome with a desire for Breakfast Burritos part way there, so we fired up the GPS and saw this McDonald's not too far off the highway. When we went inside, we stood at the counter for a couple minutes and waited for someone to help us, but no one ever came over. We decided to use the kiosk, but like so often happens at home, Breakfast Burritos were unavailable. We thought about canceling our order, but we were hungry and settled for the much-more-expensive Egg McMuffins, which were flavorless and had eggs that looked and tasted like they'd been cooked hours ago. I'm not sure what the issue is, but having common items unavailable so frequently is making us consider going to a different restaurant when we want to grab a quick breakfast. read more

Don't waste your 1 and 1/2 hours total on yet another cold and wrong order. Management clearly hasn't been to McDonald's University. Otherwise, a drug test would be performed on all management and coworkers. Their consistent inability to successfully complete an order that is repeated back to you, isn't the main problem. I like this McDonalds. The food that I have had has been good and I have had it for a long time and I have tried quite a number of different selections. The people there have always been helpful and showed a good attitude. Perhaps the only really negative issue I have there is that they keep the temperature too low in cold weather. Probably by 5 or 6 degrees too cold!! If you come in the normal lunch time area the service is fast. If your out of that time the service that I have encountered can be much, much slower, especially in the drive thru. All in all this is an enjoyable visit... read more

I try to avoid fast food any chance I can, and quite frankly, this isn't even worthy of a review.... it's McD's for f sake ...nonetheless, this place is a dumpster fire; hell this is an understatement. I have given this particular location, no less than 3-4 tries and every, single time it's horrible. They have "hiring" signs posted all over all the time to what I would imagine is an endless turn around of employees that reflect likely the worst of franchise owners. Shame on you if you ever care enough to read this. They have multiple drive through lanes and regardless of when you get to these lanes, they aren't prioritized nor serviced in any arrival order. So in my case I was not wise enough to chose the right lane (and as such was stuck in drive through hell for a while) a while!!!! It has been months since I even attempted to order McDs, but this was yet another reminder that my choices were not good and if you come here, get ready for some frustration. I will never order from here again--lesson learned. I went to McDonald's and placed a mobile order in the parking lot, I placed it as a counter pick up. Which means it should be ready! The inside was closed so I waited in the drive thru for 45+ mins. When I got to the speaker, no one responded. So I proceeded to drive to the 1 window that was open. The rude mullet "manager" at the window tells me I have to go back around, as I'm trying to ask him why, he continued to cut me off and not let me speak at all and proceeded to tell me to go around again, or he's gonna call the cops on me or "send me?" So my fiancé sat up and said I'll send you as the McDonald's employee was aggressively yelling at meat this point. Which Apparently the employee took it as a threat, and said he was gonna call the cops on us, which blows my mind since he said it to me first. The speaker didn't have a sign on it that it was closed. The inside was also closed and I had my kids in the car witness the aggression from the employee. I paid for the order and did not receive it and couldn't even ask how to get my money back with out being yelled at and told to leave or he's calling the cops. My daughter was petrified of the employee and is now scared of McDonald's, and the entire drive home my kids were scared the police were going to arrest us because of the McDonalds employee. Best part, I called to speak to the manager, not knowing it was mullet man, and a girl answers pretends to be the manager and proceeds to yell at me and not let me speak like her unprofessional counter part and then hangs up on me. The new McDonald's of Hooksett has been open for a month now (opened in late October 2011). This location is open 24 hours, both drive-thru (2 lanes) and dining room. I stop in here frequently several times a week since its along my commute to & from work. Grand opening specials and promotions were offered through most of November. This McDonald's is very modern & bright with a red and grey color scheme, flatscreeen TVs, soft booths, tables, and communal high top tables with soft stools, less seating than the previous building. The color scheme here is the same at another new McDonald's (Route 30) in Framingham MA. There are ample power outlets along the walls to the plug in your laptop and access the free wifi, which is very good and better than most McDonald's I've been to. The Coke fountain drinks are self serve (it took about a week after the grand opening for the drink machine in the dining room to become operational). However, the service here is not the fastest and could be better. The staff is still learning and gradually getting better since the grand re-opening a month ago. During busy times, the orders can get backed up with several customers gathered in front of the counter waiting for their food. At this location, a counter person will take orders & handle transactions and that's all they do. On one late night visit, I ordered a Large Hot Coffee and 2 Pies (I was the only customer inside the store) and the counter person just stood by and did nothing. I had to wait almost 4 minutes for someone else (the drive thru was busy) to pour my coffee and get my pies. The counter person should've poured my coffee and got my pies, which takes about 30-45 seconds. This is a similar scenario at the South Willow Street McDonald's. It seems like night and day at the Concord McDonald's (Loudon Rd location) which seems to be better managed (different ownership) and has much better service and the staff behind the counter work well together. When not extremely busy, the counter person there also pours coffee and gathers food items for each order before taking the order of the next customer. I will continue to stop at the Hooksett McDonald's since it's conveniently located along my commute, the Dollar Menu rocks, and the free wifi here is very good. My hope is that the service here will improve, (crossing fingers on this one). read more

I ordered here this evening and after each item the order taker, Nathan, says yeah....when I pause for a second, he says it again and clearly sounds unimpressed. I get to the window and asked if I could put in my rewards code to which he rolls his eyes and sighs but does it. We were trying to pay on the app and it just kept spinning and not loading which we showed him. He then got on the speaker to tell the next car "it's going to be a minute" while he rolled his eyes again. I asked him not to roll his eyes at me. So I pull to the next window and ask for him name which I get alongside the "lead". I explain that Nathan does not need to roll his eyes at me and the lead gets irate and tells me to "don't talk about his employees -- get the f**k out of my drive thru". Very pleasant. Didn't catch the "leads" name- he wasn't much for pleasantries. I'll be contacting corporate tomorrow but do not expect them to care. read more

I tried emailing the corportate office but it didn't work. What I am seeing is that most reviews on here are the same for most McDonalds horrible. The order was a #2 2 cheese burgers and fries. Burgers were dehydrated old and pickles dried up so clearly old food for the wait that I spent. We waited like soldiers sieging a castle, a growing sense of camaraderie seeping out from cracked windows and knowing glances. But then we'd move, take ground. Our former comrade -the Point Man of our discontent- would take his/her bag and move on, now a traitor in the eyes of this Line Republic. My turn arrived and the drive-thru windows slid open, the familiar sent of greasy plastic wafting over me. My childhood came back in spurts: Grimace (what is he even?), ball pits, shamrock shakes. It was all very heady. Finally, a young woman thrusted a paper bag at me through the little window with minimal pomp or ceremony. I took it, feeling its satisfying heft in my hand, and thanked her. She said nothing, but her austere attitude was understandable. I navigated to a nearby parking space and unpacked the contents of the bag beside me. I grabbed the packet of picante sauce and unrolled the glory of a sausage and egg burrito before me, infusing its anatomy with the tasty red sauce. I bit in. The warm, gooey cheese exploded in my mouth as hints of sage danced over my pallet. It was all happening. My heart took flight when I looked at my dashboard clock to confirm that the dream was real. This McDonald's gets 5 stars for their customer service and their actual efforts to improve. I drove over an hour from Ma to NH for some work done to my vehicle. I stopped by here to grab breakfast. The coffee was good. The photos of the double cheeseburger were good but the burger was far from what was advertised. It still tasted like a regular burger, nothing wrong with it. I was just disappointed by getting a burger that looked nothing like what was sold in the advertisement in the store. Maybe it was just that I came from a long drive and wanted comfort food like a "real" burger, and then just got flattened buns with cheese and two meat patties in between. Cooincindentally, Dan, their district manager was on site with other management to learn and gather feedback for improvements. He saw me and asked how I liked the food, and I explained to him that this store has good service and the team is good, but that their double cheeseburgers were a let down. He appreciated my feedback and offered to pay for me meal. I politely declined. Dan then asked if I might want some desert. I appreciated his genuine good will. So I picked up a desert for my wife. I am not writing this review out of obligation. I want this place to succeed because I can see that the people here are good people and genuinely want to take care of each other and their customers. read more

Every couple of months, I find myself back at this McDonald's, as it is only a few minutes from my work, when I feel a hankering for some french fries. Then when I go to order at the drive-thru, I remember why I stopped coming to this particular McDonald's. I have on several occasions waited no less than five minutes for someone to respond to me at the order screen, just to wait an additional 5 to 10 minutes at the window while I wait for the very incompetent staff to complete my simple order. I have no idea why this particular McDonald's has such trouble doing their very simple job when every other McDonald's I've been to in my entire life is fast and efficient and has no problem getting their job done. DISREGARD FOR ALLERGIES I've lived in hooksett all my life, been to this McDonalds more times than I can count in my 28 years. Though, I've finally had my scales tipped enough that I was willing to come all the way on here and waste my time typing out a review for it. In the hundreds of times I've been to this McDonalds over the years, the night shift is always profoundly terrible. The food is slapped together like something straight out of a sloppy Wafflehouse in East-Bum-Fuck, Alabama. Not only that, but I would say that 2/10 they get my order right and I'm not talking PRECISION here, I'm not asking for "light ketchup" or anything crazy. But I've lost count of how many times I've walked in here, said "Hey, no onions, I have an allergy." and low and frigin behold, onions. Diced, spread all over the entire burger, everywhere. Every, single, god damn time. Tonight was my tipping point, because not only did this Mcdonalds FAIL at not putting Onions on my TWO BURGERS, yea...that's it, just two burgers, 2 McDoubles...easiest order in the entire LOT. "No. Onions. I. Am. Allergic." Not only did they FAIL AGAIN, but this time, they must have had a wise guy working behind the grill, because they dropped a tablespoon of onions, in this clumped together wad, right in the center of the bun. So....I just got out of work, 12 hours of absolute madness....I'm starving. So i think to myself, maybe I'll just pull the top patty and bun off and eat the bottom stuff it ain't touched. But guess what..............The guy put onions between the patties too and this is something COMPLETELY new, so now I'm certain either 1. Did this on purpose. or 2. Somehow confused " No Onions, I am allergic." with "Extra Onions, I love them!" god knows how that happened. My fiance and I stopped here at the drive thru with a friend last night for a few burgers and some snack wraps. Not a huge order what with a sandwich and a snack wrap per person. Yet, strangely enough, we were asked to pull up to the "Thank You" line to wait, and that someone would bring it out. We did not mind, we pulled up. Over the next 15 minutes, we continued to watch all the cars behind us pull up to the windows, pay, grab their orders and drive off. At this point (with the time waiting being somewhere between 15 and 20 minutes) my fiance decided to go inside and find out what the holdup was, for, as I mentioned earlier, we thought it very strange that an entire line of cars behind us had not had to wait longer than a moment or two at the window and had already departed. Another five minutes I waited in the car for my fiance to return, I almost parked and went in myself to find out what the holdup was. At this point, my fiance returned stating that while waiting, one of the servers quietly reported to one of her co-workers that she had forgotten about us! Ridiculous! About the only good thing that came of our half an hour visit to McDonald's was the food was nice and hot. (understandably so, considering they made the food while my fiance stood there and watched from inside.) You people (and all the companies who do have drive thru window services, or timers on their service lines) need to start operating truthfully. You care about how quickly everyone is taken care of, except that the only thing you REALLY care about here is how quickly it LOOKS like you are taking care of people on your timer reports. This leads to people being directed to wait in a parking spot or at the "Thank You" line, and does not give you the true data. But hey, its not the customers you are serving, this is clear, it is your bosses who only care about how fast you get through that line, so guess its better to set a standard of cheating your own reporting system to make your numbers look good right? I can't say we will never visit this site again, as it is terribly convenient in its location, but we willl simply refuse to move the car to the thank you line or a parking space. We will not be forgotten about again simply for the convenience of your timer. It is a shame that we had this experience, as the food and the customer service from the staff at the windows was actually very pleasant. But the silly business practice of beating the clock and having a customer spend WAY too much time waiting due to being forgotten has rightfully earned you ONE star from us. I just had a horrendous experience at this location trying to get a simple coffee drink made. The first employee got my order wrong, even though it was on his screen correctly. The manager then offered to remake it, but made it in a way that tasted nothing like a coffee drink at all. I honestly believe she may have screwed it up on purpose because I said that my drink was made incorrectly. If this experience is representative of this location making simple drinks, I would not recommend coming here. There are far better options for coffee close by. read more
