Amazing service. Maurice is the coolest man in the world. Fries were hot, McChicken was saucy and the nuggets were JUICY.

I don't know why people give this place a bad review. It might be either picky taste or bad timing on their part, but the lady at the 1st window was SO sweet! I gave her an extra dollar for her own tip and she was like, "For me?!" She just melted my heart. I wish I could have given her more (maybe $10 for her to afford a meal or a nice drink after her shift), but I need to watch what I spend. Also, side note: They're VERY fast with orders! The amount of energy and frustration that comes with working there is crazy. I've worked at a different McDonald's out of the state this past summer. I love this branch, it is quite and close to target, Starbucks, Marshall, Goodrich 10 cenima and other stores It is clean compared to other McDonald's places. Friendliest McDonald's in Western Michigan. I am visiting from out of town for a funeral. It's been a hard day. The manager, Jennifer Parcell, totally made our day with her kindness. Seeing our struggle with our three kids on this emotional day, she went above and beyond the entire visit. As I understand it the whole lobby went through a total remodel and it shows. The restaurant was clean and modern. The food order came out quick and correct (delivered to our table by the manager herself). The kids play place was also extremely clean and safe. She even brought us extra kid activities for the road. I will go out of my way to stop by this location on subsequent visits to Kalamazoo. read more

I don't know what all these other reviews are talking about with rude staff. It may be because I go at night, but this is the only location I enjoy going to( even if it's out of the way sometimes). You get McDonald's quality food, but it's honestly better taken care of than any other location in the area( if you're eating at McDonald's in the first place, you definitely aren't expecting a gourmet meal). The worst service I have experienced, the lady was a complete bitch to us while we did an online order, UNBELIEVABLE! She threw the food bags at my friend and walked away while my friend was trying to get her attention because she had an issue with her order. My friend and I went inside to try to get her order because she paid for it and it didn't show up on the app and she yelled at us and said she only got three so she ordered again because they wouldn't give it to her. Always good for a quick meal. But 75% of the time they always forget the sauce with Chicken nuggets. Or forget something with a meal. Last time I clearly said I wanted a number 4 which indicated I wanted the meal. I got charged for it but never got my fries or my drink. If these people want the $15 an hour they'll have to work harder to not forget stuff. A couple times I had ordered a 20 piece nuggets and only got 12! WTH? Tonight my boyfriend and I went to McDonald's for a late night meal. First thing we noticed after ordering and pulling up to the first window to pay, the cashier was a Caucasian male wearing his mask underneath his chin, exposing his mouth and nose. We tried to not be paranoid so we didn't say anything. We pulled up to the second window to wait for our food and we were immensely disappointed to see the entire staff, including the store manager Ray, wearing their masks improperly, hanging from their chins and touching their faces with their gloves. I lost it when I saw all of this and suddenly a girl working with the food that was about to be handed to us coughs violently into her hands that were covered in gloves. She did not change her gloves, she did not move away from the food, she was not sent home. She just continued to work with the food. When we attempted to approach the manager, Ray, he was very nasty towards us. Did not apologize. Just focused on getting us "fresh" food. Which we appreciated. But with COVID-19 killing over 37 thousand people in our state and over 1 million people in our country, we expected more compassion from him. He had an attitude and seemed to be more upset because we caught his employee doing something unacceptable. He was so angry and defensive with us and even asked us why we felt the need to say something if he "fixed" the issue. He sided with her although he was right next to her when she coughed onto her glove and then went back to preparing food. We tried to be polite and we tried to just point it out because we are cautious for our health and our lives, just like everyone else is. He had no reason to lash out and be rude on top of having a sick employee and his employees were not wearing their masks properly. I'm disgusted. read more

Horrible Customer Service Experiences: 2 that have led me to use the other McDonald's in the area over this one. 1. I called after going through the drive thru and finding they forgot an item, no big deal. The male manager was extremely nice and offered to replace them right away on my next visit and left his name and asked for mine. I stopped by for the replacement days later and told the woman at the speaker and she instantly was rude and was accusing me of lying about the situation. She said they MAIL out vouchers for the replacements not by swapping first names. I explained again. She said if I have a problem I should speak to the manager. So I said, can I speak to a manager then? She says, I am the manager! I told her to forget it and drove off. It's an item worth a few dollars I'm not trying to con them out of money and I didn't appreciate the accusations nor her attitude. She had to lure me into asking for a manager just so she could triumphantly say that she's the manager- it was bs. 2. Again an item was left off on a different visit weeks later. I called and a different manager said "I'm not sure how I can help you" and I said you can replace my item.
