The manager frequently walks around to say hello to the patrons, which we always appreciate. Breakfast is my favorite meal to get at restaurants, so I was excited to check out Breakfast at Tiffiny's while in town recently. The menu is really large! I'd recommend taking a look at it ahead of time if you're indecisive like me. They have a lot of classic breakfast options as well as some more unique dishes like a fried green tomato benedict and several kinds of French toast. We were seated right away when we arrived around 9 am on a Saturday. It started to get pretty busy while we were there. The space is open and I didn't feel too crowded in. It's not a super fancy spot, it's located in a strip mall. I got the hippie stew, which is basically a veggie scramble. It comes with toast and I also got a side of bacon. Nate got the mediterranean omelet which also comes with toast. The food came out pretty quickly and I really liked the dish. The hippie stew comes in two sizes but I wasn't asked which one I wanted and got the large size. That's okay since we had leftovers for the next day. Just be sure to specify if you'd like the smaller portion. I loved the mix of veggies and cheese with the hash browns in the veggie stew. My nephew and I decided to go to Tiffiny's for lunch before a movie because we were both in the mood for breakfast food. My nephew had the classic which comes with eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes and toast and I had the chicken and waffles. They were busy as always, but we were seated fairly quickly. I was happy that they had a sign on the door alerting customers to an up-charge if a credit card is used. I already knew about it and had come prepared with cash, but had been disappointed in the past about their lack of signage about the fees. The food was really good. My chicken and waffles came with less bacon jam than I have had in the past, but my nephew said he got more bacon than usual so overall we were happy. The interior is always decorated nicely and my nephew took a picture of the large "tree" with flowers that was by our table. Our waitress was nice, but I would have liked her to come by and check on us. We had taken a break from eating here because of the food and service, but I would go back again. read more

The menu is nicely diverse, including some less common offerings like shakshuka, and I have enjoyed whatever I've tried for breakfast. Service and staff are absolutely fantastic. Location is very convenient with plenty of parking. Interior of the restaurant is wide open and features plenty of seating. The food is fine and I'm specifically referring to the breakfast. They have a great menu with a wide variety of choices. I did find my eggs and potatoes underwhelming and just average. The food is excellent, however my tab was $17.51. It was rounded up to $18.00 before I received my change. The waitress said they always round up the tabs. I don't think this a good way to do business. My tab was rounded up 49 cents. My friend who was with me had her tab rounded up, as well. That's almost a dollar they made off of our table. If they do that for every table imagine how much money they make at the end of the day. I'm not ok with that. The waitress grudgingly offered to get the rest of our change. I really used to like this place, but they often change the menu a lot which leaves a lot of things taken away from people who eat plant-based or vegan foods. So, there's not a lot of options for us to choose from the service is great, the scenery is amazing and peaceful , but I would say the thing that needs to be worked on is the various types of food presented to plant-based on either vegan individuals. I think there are only two or three items on the menu that's capable for us to eat from. I recalled they used to having a Impossible Burger at one point, but the last one I had there when they said that they stopped making them Impossible Burger and he took it off of the menu, the cook stated that he can go ahead and make one for me the thing is that it's a strong possibility that he cooked the Impossible Burger on the same stove as of the rest of the meats cooked throughout the restaurant. The time I got home I went through having stomach pains and aches and I was later told at the urgent care that I had food poisoning. I don't think people realize that whenever you're plant-based and you do not eat certain types of food you still can sense the ingredients are either certain foods that's not prepared like normal foods. I'm not saying this to give this place a complete bad review but I'm just saying that compared to the environment and the service, which was great, the menu needs to be expanded for others. read more

I dislike giving poor reviews because I know how hard food staff work but..the food is good but the service is often spotty or downright poor. They can do better. Empty coffee cups (are they told not to refill?) And if you want to ask your waitress for more coffee (which you shouldn't need to ask) where is she? You see waitresses scurrying around all over but everyone ignores you. I've often had lukewarm coffee, and people shouldn't have to forever to get the bill. read more

This is a great little breakfast spot. The inside is inviting yet busy. The food was good. My husband had the shrimp and grits and it was delicious! I definitely enjoyed his meal more than mine as it was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. I had the corned beef hash with a side raspberry cheesecake pancake. My meal was not seasoned and I didn't enjoy the pancake so I sent it back. I didn't downgrade the rating for this because the pancake was just not my preference (they ran out of the lemon ricotta that I love) and I assume they don't over season the corn beef due to their response to the flavoring over time. I've had it once before and the recipe/flavoring has changed. Overall I enjoyed the service, coffee, and my hubbys meal. Also the presentation is done very well. I will say, they charge a few dollars more for the mini waffle flight (which is four separate triangles) vs a waffle itself which was also four triangles, just not cut into individual pieces. So the waffle is a better deal plus the addition of your choice of toppings. The location itself is always busy but it always feels clean. the food is always great. 25 min wait ended up being 1 hour and 10 minute wait. Another 40 min wait to get breakfast. They must have been short staffed because they had a few open tables that took awhile to get cleared off and people seated. Food was definitely not worth the wait. The coffee was good though. Not worth trying again...will always go back to Anna's House if we have a long wait. read more

My wife and I just moved to Kalamazoo and we don't have groceries yet so we thought we'd do breakfast at Tiffiny's. We really like it! The first time we went, we got the Shakshuka and I think it was called Zach's Hash. Both were good, especially the Shakshuka. Also we're going vegan, and they kindly offered to put vegan sausage in my Shakshuka, which was a great addition. Today we got the tofu scramble and the Greek stew. My wife loved the Greek stew, and even though my tofu scramble was a little under salted, a little bit sauce and salt made it right as rain. My boyfriend and I went to breakfast around 10:45am/11am on a Saturday. I was hesitant and worried about a wait (only because when they previously opened; their was generally a wait to be seated and then the food took about 45-1 hour). However! We got IMMEDIATELY seated. It took about 5 minutes for a waitress to come over but it was packed. After that, she frequently and regularly checked on us :) Before I even finished my first cup of coffee, our food had already come out. Let me begin my review by saying I was disappointed. I had been told by several people that I need to go here. These are people who know I am vegan. The options are limited. I ordered the vegan scramble with avocado spread on the toast. This was the most bland meal that I had in a long time. Absolutely no flavor. It was warm when it got to the table and not hot at all. I've visited only one time but I will most certainly be back really soon! I was in for lunch late last week and I was impressed with how many people were here for the late lunch time (130pm). We were seated quickly and provided a crisp and shiny menu. I ordered a B@T burger, which comes with an egg on top of a beautifully prepared burger (medium), bacon, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion, along with two sides (cottage cheese and tater tots). The tots were awesome as far as tots go, with just an extra minute in the oven to make them incredibly crispy. The egg on my burger was over medium so the yolk was a bit runny and provided exceptional flavor to an already good burger. My lunch partner ordered a reuben, which was stacked up nicely with corned beef, kraut and melty cheese, along with a pile of fries, also crispy. No complaints from this table about the food whatsoever and the only thing I can even pick at is that they were out of coleslaw, but hey, it was just after the lunch rush. Next time I will get it, so it gives me a reason to return soon. read more

My wife and I decided to stop in the Breakfast at Tiffany's a few weeks ago. They were about 1/2 full and we had to wait. No big deal we understand the staffing shortage for many restaurants. The server was pleasant and took our orders. Then she brought our coffees. I had the Mediterranean Omelet, with Hash Browns and Sourdough Toast. My wife the Blueberry Pancakes, scrambled eggs and hash browns. It took a while which again we understand post COVID. When the food came it looked nicely plated. We both did notice quite a bit of our hash browns were burnt. I called the server over and showed her. The most burnt ones were hidden under the nice and crispy hash browns. She immediately went back and ordered me another side of Hash Browns. The Mediterranean Omelet was really good!! Just want I had expected with the name! My wife was not as pleased with her blueberry pancakes. There were no Blueberries IN THE PANCAKE! The syrup was a nice blueberry taste. But she expected the pancakes to have the berries in them. Though they did taste nice and we're not rubbery. All and all we decided the place overall only deserved 3 stars as a rating. My husband and I visited this new location recently for our anniversary brunch! We tried a few other spots in town first, but the Sunday brunch wait in Kazoo is the real deal!! We walked in around 11 am to a 30 minute wait list. Nobody loves a wait when they are hungry, but what really helps is so many stores nearby! You leave your phone number with the hostess for a text when your table is ready, they text you while you are at your favorite choice of store nearby and hold your table until you get back! Awesome system!! (Stores nearby include Five Below, DSW, Hobby Lobby, Target, a video game store, and Ulta, just to name a few! Something for anyone! The menu choices are pretty fabulous! A lot of variety! From the classics to super unique items like seafood Benedict and Southwest Breakfast stew! I ordered the Ultimate Biscuits and Gravy. I was intrigued by the fried chicken addition! I added an over easy egg on top as I would on any order of biscuits of gravy. My meal arrived lukewarm. I was too hungry to say anything. The flavors were still decent, the chicken was very good and a great addition to biscuits and gravy. This dish also includes some shredded cheese and is also a nice addition! We waited about an hour for our food, which was excessive. Everyone around us who ordered after us received their meals before us, but we didn't mind because we were enjoying our time out, just the two of us! They kept the coffee filled and warm! Water Street Coffee is what they serve. As odd as it sounds I always like the restaurant brewed strength so much better than what the actual Water Street establishments serve. Water Street is generally too bitter for me, even though I am one to like my coffee strong enough that I can chew it! ;) They get it right in house here, and both really enjoyed the coffee! Much better than the typical diner serving no-name brew. My husband ordered the surf and turf Benedict. I had a bite of each and thought they were both delicious!! He said the crab version was a bit much by the end. The filet version was his favorite. And mine, too! The sauce was different than the typical hollandaise, it was lighter in color and complimented the fillet very nicely! The waitress did say that you can order two of one version if you prefer, rather than one of each. The service here was great! Despite our long wait without apology, the staff is all friendly and smiles often! Friendly staff is a must for me and would be a dealbreaker if otherwise! I read another reviewer mention the modesty of the ladies working the hostess stand and I definitely agree! They do more than seat tables. They pick up, wipe down tables, leaning and bending over often, they could definitely stand to dress a little more appropriate for their duties in a family establishment! I wouldn't have been happy if I had my kids in tow for such "a show" at brunch! Seems to be more and more typical for the age in which we live and this is just my opinion, but apparently I am not alone. The owner seems so classy herself, I would have guessed her to want more from her ladies. All in all, we will likely be back for another try. There are several other options on the menu that pique my interest! I am not a "traditional breakfast" foods lover so the more unique the better for me. This NEW location means we finally have a great breakfast place on the West side of Kalamazoo. We stopped in on a Sunday morning so it was crowded and very busy. So getting our food took a little while, but the staff was great and as helpful as ever. We ate at the counter and it was a great spot to enjoy our breakfast and conversation. I had the traditional breakfast, which was perfectly prepared. My wife had the special ricotta pancakes with a rich lemon topping. They were fantastic! The portion sizes were very large, you can share or have left overs. The shrimp and grits were so flavorful and delicious! We arrived 20 mins later and informed it would be another 15 mins (no problem) waited 25 minutes went up to ask and was informed they "forgot " about us. We waited another 15 (so a total of an hour) to be seated. We ordered immediately and waited 42 minutes for our food to arrive. Trust me we love this place and come often.
