This place is a piss poor excuse for fast food in my community, kids with tethered headphones made me think about ear wax dropping on my fries. I asked for fresh fish and they hand me out old fish. Yes hand it back to them and pull into Bay 1 and they were not bringing me the food I asked for so I go in and I'm standing there way ting for 10 minutes and nothing. Well, this just happens to be another reason added on top of many of why I try to avoid McDonald's at all cost. First of all this location is a fairly decent one just up the street from a on-ramp to Highway 635. But from there things go downhill. I went through the drive-thru, and find that most of the dollar menu items are no longer available anymore. There had been talk that this was going to happen, but I didn't think it would be this soon. The cheeseburger the McDouble, the sausage McMuffin all of those items have been removed from the dollar menu. The only thing that remains is the McChicken and the any size soft drink. They have a sausage biscuit for $1. And I believe the only reason the sausage biscuit remains on the dollar menu is because no one wants to eat their dry rock hard biscuit. I ordered a sausage McMuffin knowing that it was no longer on the dollar menu and a small caramel frappe with no whip cream. My frappe had no whipped cream but it also could use some more frappe. My cup was almost half full and I paid $2 for it. My sausage McMuffin was cold, and smashed. How it got smashed between coming from inside the drive-thru to me I don't know how it got that way. But this is just one of a million reasons why I hardly come to McDonald's anymore. Their dollar menu was the one thing that kept me coming, and because all over the Kansas area, all of the McDonald's franchises are getting rid of their dollar menu items they just don't know it, but they're getting rid of me as well. read more

There were SEVERAL cars. Oh no. I started not to get in line during my half hour lunch break. But these staffers moved the whole line through with ROCKET SPEED! I was very impressed, and they always get the order right. And never "hockey-puck" hard buns! I even asked for no tartar sauce - this did not slow them at all! Once I got back to work, I sent out an email and told all 66 case managers that I work with how fast this McDonalds #5352 in Kansas City, KS were at lunch rush hour! They've had EXCELLENT training! McDonald's on 38th state in kck has truly gotten trifling. I ordered a fish sandwich on 2 occasions and got 1/2 slice of cheese on it. The prices are ridiculous then to get only 1/2 slice of cheese on it is ridiculous. Please don't go through the drive through because you are not going to get what you order and when you ask for a receipt they will tell you that they ran out of receipts. Please tell me how that happens with a big chain like McDonald's. These fast food restaurants only get away with that because we allow it. They don't realize the customer make their money. Two horrible experiences. First experience, I had a very large order and spent nearly $30. Due to this they asked me to pull to the side, so I did as told. After waiting over 5 minutes I seen an employee come out to the parking lot with two big bags; he walked right past me and over to another car and handed the food to this other person. I waited 5 more minutes and called them directly, mind you I had been waiting for over 10 minutes now. I found out thereafter that they handed my order to someone else and therefore had to wait another 10 minutes to actually receive my order. Total time approximately 22 minutes. Very disappointed. Second experience, went through the crowded drive thru, it was 10:45am on Sunday. I started to order lunch items when I was informed lunch did not start till 11am. I was okay with this, ordered 2 burritos along with a sausage, egg n cheese biscuit sandwich. Once I got to the pickup window I was informed they ran out of burritos. Humm....I wonder why? They should have just switched over to lunch knowing they ran out of breakfast food. Got home and found out my sausage egg cheese sandwich didn't have the egg in it either. Even though it says a "bold new experience" on the sign, I have found it to be the same horrible experience this store has always been despite the remodel. I tried the mobile app for the first time tonight. After waiting for at least 10 min for my food, the server had forgot my drink. While she went back in to get it, I noticed that there was no bacon on my double bacon cheeseburger. Instead of taking the sandwich back, she goes back in again and comes out with a piece of bacon. This is only one example of an ongoing list of fails from this location. The line is always long. The service slow. Orders are often incorrect. Even though this location is less than a mile from me, I will drive the extra distance to go to the one off of Shawnee Dr. or further down State Ave. Just so that I don't have to deal with the hassle of this place. Which is sad. Because I go almost daily for a drink and several times a week for meals. This store needs better workers, and better training....not just a new building. The other day they had us pull up and wait for a Latte and then they forgot us. After 15 minuets of waiting we went in to get it, they gave us the wrong drink. Absolutely horrible. :( read more

The cashiers are nice, especially in the drive thru and they seem to know who works best where because they are polite and make sure your order is correct before you leave. Leanna the front end server was very rude. When she had made a mistake with what my 13 year old daughter had ordered she got very rude and began to accuse her of making the mistake instead of just fixing it and moving on. When I intervened to tell her that she probably just didn't hear her she began flailing her arms and yelling ad loud as she could that she was right and we were wrong. Again we were going to pay the difference and everything so it really didn't matter. I plan to file a formal complaint with Edith Torres the manager and also with the regional manager.
