In need of a quick lunch, I made my way here. I do not know why, I could have chose so many other places to go to, but here I was. I came in and went directly to the kiosk to order. Tapped away and then went to find a seat. Waited for a minute, got myself settled into a table and food had arrived. The order was exactly how I ordered it and I ate what was ordered. The thing that threw me here was how casually the employees just float about. Since McDonald's decided to do away with their drink stations a lot of them just have these things sitting there. The employees use this one to hide their drinks behind. Speaking of the employees, they just don't seem to care if there are customers inside the restaurant. McDonald's needs to find a way to start taking franchises away from local owners -- and it needs to start with the one on University Boulevard West. I rarely ever go to that store because it's horrid -- but sometimes, enough time passes that I foolishly think it must have improved since I was there last. Then I find out I'm an idiot for thinking that. I went there tonight around 6:30 pm as I didn't feel like cooking and I just wanted some good old-fashioned fast food. While the woman taking my order was friendly and accurately took my very simple order -- not too hard to mess up a double quarter cheeseburger meal with ketchup only -- the rest of the experience went downhill quickly. I ordered dine-in. I took my meal to a table, found soggy, nasty, fries with apparently no salt, and then bit into the nastiest McDonald's burger I've ever eaten. It was covered in slop -- onions, pickles, and every condiment you can name all over it. I returned the burger to the counter. I then watched in horror as there was just enough space for me to see as a woman working the grill took the meat patties out of the buns and began scraping the junk off the meat. I think she tossed the meat back down on the grill. I couldn't see exactly where the toss landed. She then moved out of sight. Many minutes passed before a "burger" came back to me. I was so hungry by that point that I didn't initially realize why the double quarter cheeseburger was so nasty, despite the most grease I've ever seen pour off a burger. I finally looked at it and realized it was burned on the outside and pink on the inside. I was furious. Ordinarily, I would have demanded to speak to a manager and get a refund but I had already decided I'll never go back there again as I almost always have a bad experience there. I have been going to this McDonald's for the past week because of the Thank You Meals during this COVID-19 pandemic. It's not advisable to eat McDonald's frequently, but desperate times sometimes warrants some comforting golden fries and a fish filet! This McDonald's is indeed participating in the efforts to combat the virus so if you're looking for a Thank You Meal, you can count on this location. The staff via the drive-through are nice and the service is fast. I really have no gripes about this McDonald's. read more

Just stopped by the McDonald's at 5am to get a hash brown! We went through the drive through. When we arrived at the drive through it took a while for the person to answer through the mic. I usually NEVER eat McDonald's but had a craving for chicken nuggets. Of course the line was super long and not moving. I ended up parking and walking in. There was only one person ahead of me and only one employee working the cash register. I was able to order quickly and get my nuggets fast. They were hot and ready to go. Generally I like McDonald's; this location was packed and felt a little over-run for a weekday lunch. Lots of off-street parking; the drive thru was crazy busy. Food was standard fare and wait wasn't bad for the number of people in the restaurant. read more

Providing needed shelter for teens who can't face the rigors of a day in school This is the McDonald's across university Boulevard from Wheaton Mall. Not particularly near a local high school but obviously accessible by bus! The customers when I visited around 10 am on a weekday were: assorted high school students, looking comfortably like they had nowhere to go, a gaggle of seniors lingering over a lovely cup of coffee and "people of the street." Not the most wholesome-feeling atmosphere. I'm not a huge fan of McDonalds anyway. Every once in a while I like an egg biscuit. The food at this McDonalds was no better or worse that at any other decent one. But the crowd brought me down, baby. read more

This is the slowest McDonalds on the face of the earth! There is always a line (especially at breakfast), since they only have 1 register open mostly. The staff greets the customers in Spanish, but if you speak English, you barely get recognized. I don't usually find myself to give feedback on a fast food chain. I felt compelled to do so today. I decided to dine in with a group of friends only to witness the worst case scenario. Came in about 2pm, Shafair or whatever his name is was the most rude person on the face of the earth. He just had the worst mood and all my friends were like "is this guy for real?" I asked for a large combo he delivers a medium. When I notice he slams a large cup down. I said "hey man no need to slam anything" he said "take cup and go" He was the only guy taking orders with a line of at least ten. The Manager (obvious wearing white) was socializing with employees in the back. I witnessed a customer yell at the Manager and say "excuse me mr manager" a few times but the conversation continued. When he did catch his attention he said you have lost my business. With not a care in the world he continued. I mean really? At that point I took count of staff. About twelve employees and only one taking orders. What kind of management structure does this store have? I would expect if a regional or district manager would be scheduled to come by behavior would be night and day. With 12 staff you would think they would be more efficient? Meanwhile all this is going on I saw two people leave and many waiting for food. I saw employees clocking out and still Mr Manager socializing. Can we call an audit for this place? No food service company should pride themselves with this demeanor and conduct. Completely unacceptable. It starts with management, training and coaching. My order was number 300 if someone at McDonalds actually monitors this. Prob not. read more

Every single time I go in there he's smiling and greeting you as if you're his best friend and when you leave he does his best to say "bye" and/or wave to you.
