During this horrible pandemic, this McDonald's really disappointed me. I use to come to come hear daily with my ex husbands wife, but now it's just a shattered memory. The delicious BigMac is now a sad reminder of my failed divorce. The soggy French fries are truly disgusting. The drive thru is a pain, the line takes so long. Workers have horrible attitudes, and they gave me dirty looks when I asked for 21 more ketchup packets for my egg sandwich. The service has really gone down hill. The toilets are filled to the brim with human feces. Urine is all over the place, and one time I tripped and ate shit. The only good thing about this restaurant is the big fat M I love to look at. I'm a very frequent customer of this McDonald's and I have never had a problem with the staff, that was until my most recent visit. I ordered and received the wrong item, in fact it was wrapped with a napkin stuffed and melted in the sandwich. When I went back to ask for my correct order, I told girl at the second window and she proceeded to interrogate me and question if I really ordered what I ordered and didn't believe that there was a napkin in my sandwich. I felt attacked and very frustrated because I had to drive all the way back for my correct order and was now being investigated for a chicken sandwich!!! Then the girl tells me I have to pay the difference! This is not customer service, it felt like harassment. Student Lobby this morning for 15 minutes waiting to be served. Drive thru in about 10 cars. One person behind the counter everybody else in the back was too busy to pay attention she kept moving her post to fill wipes and napkins. Completely ignoring me and two other guess. When asked to speak to the manager I kept getting a 1-minute finger.. told them I was going to leave an unfavorable yep they didn't care manager never came to talk to me !!!!!! Such slow service. To start, I was waiting at the counter and no one greeted or assisted me or directed someone to take my order. Someone finally took my order but it was filled incorrectly so I had to send my sandwich back so they could get it right. As I'm sitting & eating my lunch, I see customers orders taking so long to be filled & they were getting frustrated. One customer finally got fed up and demanded get money back. Even with having at least 6 customers waiting in line, they continue to have just one person taking orders. I do come here upon occasion coz it's close to work. The young man taking the order would not communicate. I kept having to say hello. His response was "still here". Got to the window and he took my car handed me my receipt.. cool, but he didn't say go around the corner for your food. He didn't say anything. Must...remember...why..I...don't...come...here...Grrrrrr! Because it was so hot, I thought I'd treat my family to cheap sundaes on the way home, a little after 9pm tonight. I figured McD's would be fast, easy and cheap. Wrong! AFTER I got in the line of cars and another car was behind me I found out they did not have ice cream! First I'd waited a good 15 minutes to inch up to the intercom. Just before I reached it I could see the lit up sign with the menu but could not read the fine print from there and couldn't see the milkshakes, cones etc. Then I saw a piece of paper taped over the ice cream products with handwriting that was not readable in the dark. Just as I got to the intercom I could see the words, "no ice cream, no shakes, no cones, no sundaes". Of course there was no way to get out of the line so I was stuck there stewing over the wasted time. I said into the intercom, "Well, I was going to get some sundaes but it says No Ice Cream so I guess I'm out of luck" and drove forward. I sat and waited and inched forward, wishing I'd gone to Gag-in the-Bag instead--they do have decent shakes. When I got to the paying window I just rolled past it and didn't say anything. It was pushing 9:30pm when I finally got to the window where they give you your food. I stopped and said, "Is the manager handy?" The girl looked at me blankly, then called another girl over. I repeated, "Is there a manager I can talk to?" Blank stare. Cars behind me. "Do you know what a manager is?" God help me I couldn't help myself. She said "Hola," or something and left for a second returning with a very WASP-ish white man about 30 who was the manager. I was relieved he looked like he could understand English and I told him, not too unreasonably, "I just waited at least 20 minutes in line to buy sundaes because the sign saying you didn't have any ice cream was only visible after I was in line with people behind me." He said, "There's a sign that says no ice cream?" I swear, that's what he said. Have I entered the Twilight Zone or something? I said yes, there is a piece of paper over the sign that says no ice cream, no sundaes, no cones, no shakes. He said, "Oh, they were supposed to take that down." LIKE WHEN???? He did say sorry but I said "Well it's too late now I'm going to Jack-in-the-Box." I'm so embarrassed to have uttered those words. I felt like a little kid saying, "I'm gonna tell my Mommy!" Then I drove away, not fast, no peeling rubber, no profanities, just vowing not to come back. I probably hadn't been here for 2 or more years. Hope I remember why if I'm ever thinking about coming back. As I drove away I was thinking, why didn't they tell me when I first said I was going to buy sundaes but they were out, that they now had them? I'll take Chipotles any day. Oh yeah, I stopped at JB's and after encountering another barely-English-speaking clerk I came home with an Oreo Milkshake. I told my family--"I don't care if you want any or not--you're going to have some because of what I went though to get it!" My husband just chuckled that polite chuckle of one who wasn't really paying attention but tries to appear as if they were and accepted his gift. I've been here enough times to say that this place is terrible. The straw that broke the camels back for me is when I took the kids there the other day. One computer was broken, no "out of order" sign, just there, broken. But that's no biggie right? Wait! There's more! Moving to the play structure. The table AND chairs in that room was a mess, so I allowed the kids to begin to play while I went to ask someone to wipe the table and order food. An elder woman said she was going to wipe it and I waited there a few minutes and she never came. Mind you this woman was the cleaner. She was wiping the SAME window for a few minutes, and obviously didn't realize what needed precedence. So seeing that she's not getting it, I asked a manager if he could have it wiped, and then she turns around and looked stunned I was asking someone else. Well hello?? I need to set my stuff down somewhere to order! So he has her go over to wipe it, and while dealing with all that the kids tell me that there was something on the stairs of the play structure. So I told the kids "I need you guys to come down so it can get wiped up." So the lady at this point just wiped the table, and she's leaving the room oblivious to the fact that I just had the kids put their shoes back on because of what happened, and any person could hear us and so I'm baffled and I say to her politely "there's a spilled drink all over the stairs of the play structure." And she just looks at me and says "oh." And walks away. So I walk back over to the manager and I let him know what happened and he says "oh." So I walked back over to grab our things so we can move to a table not in the play area since the kids wouldn't be playing in there anyway. I realized at this point that what the kids were stepping in was a red STICKY soda. While gathering the things I said to the manager who was standing there with the cleaning lady, both looking at the spill like a deer in the headlights and the lady says "how should I clean it?" And this guy says, "use paper towels and windex." Really!!??? This guy's the manager!?? Any idiot knows that you use warm water and a wash cloth to remove sticky stuff for goodness sake!!! I let him know that not only the kids socks got wet and sticky, but now the inside of their shoes were wet and sticky also, and guess what he says .... wait for it!!..............................."oh." FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S SANE!!!! He didn't say sorry, nothing, and I was actually very nice to them!! P.S. many times I have requested a stool for the kids to reach the sink, it's very high, and it's supposed to be a place for kids, yet the kids can't even reach it and it's really hard when you have three kids. Longest drive-through line in the world. But, I must say, McDonald's is stepping up in the world with their oreo milkshakes, coffee drinks, and other assorted unhealthy goodies. And it's 99 cents for the biggest soda cup I have ever seen before; I think I passed diabetes through the window to the passengers in my car. It was intense. But it's 24 hours, and 24 hours for La Mesa is a first! So props for that! read more

How do charge $8.79 for a quarter pounder meal with an iced vanilla coffee and have the audacity to charge $0.10 for extra onion. REALLY! They don't even use real frickin meat for crying out loud. My order took 21 minutes to complete. No acknowledgment or apology was made during the wait. I asked the manager on duty why such a long wait. Her response was she was short staffed. There were about 7 employees and only 3 other customers waiting after me and nobody in the drive thru. They had to remake my mcflurries because they melted from waiting on their back counter. The girl remaking the mcflurries had to get more Oreoes and sluggishly walked to the back to retrieve her bag of Oreo crumbs. I then asked why no apology or acknowledgement was given to customers while they were waiting and she just gave me a blank stare. I asked for her name and the corporate phone number and asked her to write it down. She takes a deep annoyed breath, writes it down and says "have a great day!" This location also had both drive thru monitors out of order and never even put a sign up for customers. People were waiting at the screen for several minutes before a young man came out to tell them to pull up to the window. From the outside, this location looks amazing and welcoming, but they need to coach the management and their staff with BASIC customer service skills. read more

Came in today to redeem the medium fries from the monopoly game pieces. The cashier couldn't ring me up and had his supervisor come to enter the promotion monopoly code. I asked for unsealed fries...turns out the manager rung it up, and took my receipt...and I still didn't even get to finish the rest of my order. I asked the cashier if my fries were unsalted and he said he was didn't think the manager noted it, and that he said "I don't think you can get unsalted fries because we salt them right out of the fryer." Last time I was here (in the drive thru) i was sold 4 expired apple pies. 3 were expired by 2 hours, the other by 8 hrs. So now I have my name on a list to get free ones. Today I am here and am given a table number and told they will bring my order to my table. So I'm waiting and waiting for my food. Then i notice that a woman at the counter is rudely yelling my order number as if it is an inconvenience on her. So i go to the counter and she points at my try and walks away. I then asked about the number and table service and am told, "well, it's really busy right now. So I go to claim my 4 free apple pies and am told they are all out. I ask if they are cooking more and they say "no more pie today" (with an attitude). I will never come here again. read more

First things first. McDonalds isn't food. Food is real meat, whole vegetables and the like. McDonalds is salted fat and I freakin love it, but only once every 3 months. I purchased and ate 4 cheeseburgers and 10 chicken Mcnuggets. The new sweet and spicy sauce was OK, it tasted just like Asian sweet chili sauce. Sweet and sour and BBQ are still the best way to go. Normally I would give the place 3 stars but i have to recognize the fact that it is 24 hours and give it 4. Be aware that it is right next to Costco so expect long lines during the day. read more

This spot is legit, I don't usually eat McDonalds but I was on my way to an early tennis match and decided to get an egg Muffin and gave it a shot, thanks to young DAVID working at the first window, my day started off fantastically. He is so positive, clear headed and easy to connect with..Yes this dude can provide great service in just an instant of time. He's as real as it gets, thus he deserved me to go out of my way to write this dope review about him. I know he has a sick as fuck future ahead of him and this McDonalds enterprise is very fortunate to have him. This kind of presence is what drives peeps like me to re-visit. Which I did a few times after that. David deserves a raise, and free McDonalds for life. My first job was in 03' was Carl's Jr. in Poway Biz park and after a few months, a couple sick dudes in their pickup truck were in the drive through and I handed them their meal, they saw me working there and they ended up giving me a job on the spot at skateamerica.com and I instantly was hired down the street at a huge online retail skateboard warehouse where I did phone sales and sold new and existing clients thier skateboard & clothing items. Guilty pleasure? Check! I love this place. The lady that works food window at breakfast is a gem. She is very nice and pleasant. I love their breakfast. I get the hash brown and dollar biscut. Also obsessed with the grilled onion chedder burger and fries. There used to be a problem here with long drive through wait times but this has changed. Don't judge me for my amount of check ins ok? They have a special late night menu! You can get some breakfast items with the regular menu. A chance to mix and match fries and biscuts? Burgers with hash browns? We go in to order and two supervisors are sitting so it makes it look like we can eat inside and we were sitting and they saw us we go get our food and then they just told us you can't eat inside as we're about to open our bag of food .. you saw us the whole time and now you tell us to get up and leave and then we said just give us our money back and they said sure no problem and just puts a trash can in front of us like if we were just wasteful people ..... and for the cashier she was very impatient while we use the app on our phones .. relax . The employees look like aliens from another planet as if they don't know what they're doing there, why they're there, or how to help you at all. Nobody knew what was going on.
