Very convenient location of Carl's Jr near Costco, if you don't like McDonald or Chillis, you can come here, they have a shorter drive thru and a dining area with lesser people. I've been to this Carl's Jr twice now at the recommendation of someone else. I signed up for the app and they always seem to have good coupons. I don't eat fast food very often but this was decent. I got a huge burger with an egg on it the first time for an inexpensive price. I went there again yesterday and got two fish sandwiches for $5 and a half off chocolate milkshake which was really good. I think I will be back as long as they have such good coupons and rewards points. The only bad thing was when I walked in and told the guy I was looking for the two for $5 fish sandwiches he told me they didn't have that only the Western burger. I had to pull it up on the app and show him and even then he looked confused. He told me I had to order online to qualify but when I tapped on the picture it gave me the choice between redeeming it in the store or online. Then I asked if it was only one coupon per visit or if I could get the half off shake also which was from 2:00 to 5:00 or 8:00 to midnight or whatever the ending time was. At first he pointed to it and said that's only 2 to 5:00 and I said it says from 8:00 to midnight also and he said well we close at 9:00 p.m. but I said it's only 8:00 p.m. now. He told me I could try the coupon and we'd see if it went through. I did and it did. I wasn't unpleasant about it but I wasn't going to take no for an answer if I thought that was wrong. Bottom line is that they should train their employees better so that first of all they know what their sales are and second of all they don't disagree with the customer without finding out first of the customer is right or wrong. A little online research would have told him what he needed to know.. I wish I had gotten his name but I didn't. He sounded Mexican and he was pretty round so I wouldn't want the skinny kid to get blamed for what the other one did and said. This facility is located up a slight hill, so you have to be careful in going up the driveway. There is a drive-through area and line, of course, but I prefer to dine in rather than take away. There are two handicapped parking spaces available located right at the door. On the evening of my visit, there were no there guests in the dining room, so this facility is not as busy as some others. I ordered the hamburger with cheese and bacon. I inquired if they had avocado. At first, the counter man stated they did not. However, a manager walking by at the time stated there are hamburgers available with guacamole. I ordered a Spicy BBQ Beyond Burger, which was a limited thing awhile back but they still will make it for you if your voice is plaintive and full of hope enough as you order. I have my own favorite Carl's Jr. location in Carlsbad. I don't know what it is but they just make everything the best way. They know their way around a beyond burger like a wolf knows it's way around sheep. Yes, they kill it. This location is the second best beyond burger experience I've had. It was still a bit underdone and soft for my personal taste... but very close to great. What is the word I'm looking for? Oh yeah! Good! I asked for extra BBQ and it didn't really happen but they did give me the dipping sauces I not so subtly hinted at. Ok The fries were perfectly done and are best when they are very hot. Like a young person who enjoys the sun far too much, Carl's Jr. fries have their limited bloom... when they are fresh they are awesome, after that well... you ordered it and made your own bed. Just accept it. We all do eventually. With everything. I would visit this location again. I found them to be quick and courteous. When I need to, I stop in here for some fried goodness. I stopped in for a late lunch on 10/25 at about 3ish. Fries were hot and fresh, I got the beyond burger, it's my second time trying it. Trying to go more into the vegetarian food realm. It's not too bad. It was super hot, the bun was fresh. Things were firing on all cylinders on my visit today. Drive thru Ai ordering is so annoying. It's so bad made me not want to return here ever again.

My boys wanted to go to Carl's Jr for lunch. My boys placed their order and I paid $30+ dollars for 2 medium meals for my boys. The 1st drink my son got was flat, no carbonation. I told my son to get another drink. He came back with Dr. Pepper. I took a sip and that was also flat, no carbonation. I went to tell the lady who was working there that something was wrong with the soda because there is no carbonation. She immediately started talking in Spanish to another customer, and I heard the customer tell her yes there was something wrong with that machine because the ice was not working either. Like she didn't believe me. I asked her 2 times to fill the cup from the machine at the drive-thru window to get a carbonated drink. No one ever came out to check the machine nor did they put an out of order sign on that machine. A little customer service goes a long way with me. read more

Had a very disturbing trip to the restroom at this location moments ago.. The recipt says I bought 4 sandwiches,no combos,roughly 24-25 dollars... For the first time my wife and I thought let's try Carl Jr. that was the first time and the last time. The burger was not as good as McDonald's. I have been coming to this location several times a week for a few months. I order the exact same thing every time, a chicken club combo. When I received my order it was wrong. I returned to the store to get the correct items I ordered, but the shift manager Roccio was a complete bitch. She argued with me about what I ordered and called me an idiot. When I demanded a refund the cooks in the back started getting hostile with me as well. I have genuinely loved Carl's Jr's food most of my life, but the customer service at all the locations near me have gone to hell. I have had employees yell at me to not pull up to the window because my food wasn't ready. This has happened at multiple locations, so it is clearly a directive by the District Manager to make the store's customer wait time seem lower than it is. All fast food companies monitor the time it takes to get customers their food, and by manipulating this, the company can't make adjustments to better serve customers. I wasn't surprised to see the location on Navajo Rd shut down. That's what a bad leadership shadow will do. I have asked to speak with a district manager in multiple complaints I have filed against the company, but no one has bothered to reach out to me. All I want is to be able to go to any of your locations, order what I like, pay for it, and move on with my day. I generally avoid reviewing negatively unless I had a really bad experience. I frequented this location a few times within the last few months and I won't be going back. The food is made inconsistently so there were times when I had really great burgers and other times my burgers were inedible charred. I've received cold fries before too. But what really rubbed me the wrong was is that I frequented this spot and always ordered the same thing with extra ranch dressing and bbq on the side. The last time I went to this location I was told they weren't allowed to give me more than one sauce. Which I know isn't true. And there was another person at the window too who didn't say anything. My wife and I thought we could get a good dinner from Carl's but we were wrong! She ordered the Santa Fe Sandwich combo and I ordered a double cheeseburger. There was a day the food from Carl's was wonderful but what we received was COLD! And the Chicken patty tasted OLD! In fact she didn't finish it, the fries had an old oil taste the only good thing was her Diet Coke. My double cheeseburger was warm and much better than her Santa Fe. I doubt we ever go there again which is sad because we live nearby and for the money you spend there are many options for much less. I said ok because not a lot of places do this but maybe this place should. Hint hint management. The food was ok. I know it gets messy but I didn't expect the appearance when I unwrapped my burger to look the way it did. The mayo was smeared all over the place. But I put mayo with my ketchup so I didn't mind too much. The place seems people friends because from what I can judge a regular customer with a small friend came and the staff and her had some small talk and they really enjoyed themselves. It's those darn homemade biscuit commercials I tell you! I gave in and tried one of their biscuit breakfast sandwiches with bacon, egg, and cheese with a cup of coffee. The biscuit sandwich is very inexpensive at $1.69 and the small coffee at around $1.30. The Biscuit came perfectly baked with a nice exterior crust and ever so fluffy inside. Rocio is the most wonderful person ever! She is so friendly and professional. She is the reason why we go every Saturday morning for breakfast. Being a vegetarian is tough when it comes to fast food and Rocio always recognises my voice at the drive through and says "no meat, right?". She is a treasure. We take our cat Dewey through the drive thru and she is so kind and nice and it makes his day. Whatever you're paying Rocio, it isn't enough. The kind and hard working people at this location deserve raises and bonuses for working through Covid with limited employees. Even now, I only see 2-3 people running the front and drive thru. The fried zucchini still had a layer of doughyness, the fries were cold, the a-1 burger had no onion rings and everything was slid to the side (two of these in the order both that way), the california burger had no lettuce, onions, or tomatoes in it. I asked her what was the point of putting the number on the receipt if you are just going to argue with both me and my husband. Beyond Burger was unexpectedly fantastic. I enjoyed it very much. I dined in just before the normal lunch rush for restaurants. The service was perfect, the food was hot, the restaurant was clean.
