A man named Jonathan, says he was the manager but I think he was staff, treated me so poorly, called me names and screamed at me over the phone. When I ordered on 3/7 around 11pm, still an hour until closed, I got my food with multiple ripped up receipts in the bag, when I called to ask why or get an understanding, or maybe cleaner food. The lady said "we're trying to close so I can't help you right now" I'm not sure what customer service they are trained on, but where I work that is not okay. I then asked for the supervisors name and hers to which I got hung up on, I tried calling back but was hung up again immediately once I peeped a word. All until they turned the phone line off so I couldn't call them anymore, which they still had at least half an hour of running time. I'm not sure if this is how McDonalds works but you shouldn't rush and rush things more and more the closer you are to closing, once you are closed, you shut off to the public, that's what the term closed is, "closed to the public" and then you spend your time cleaning up and getting the site ready for whoever opens. Never eating at this location ever again. While waiting in the drive thru for my food a 20something male was just hanging out behind the counter by the fries WITH. NO. MASK. ON. HIS. FACE. He was behind the counter, twirling his mask on his finger and joking and laughing with other workers. He left and my food was brought over about 30 seconds later. I told the gal about it, she looked like a shift lead because she had been explaining the order screen to a newer person. She gave me a half hearted well sorry but that. Their "Playground" that they have inside is filthy with sweaty footprints and it looks like it's never been cleaned since so many children go on it everyday it should be cleaned everyday. I've been bringing my children to this McDonald's solely on the purpose to use the Place Gym. The Santee location doesn't have a gym so we take the time to drive to this one. I like the security of the gym and the fact that it's inside with air conditioning. The staff is super friendly. They keep up on any mess. The fries are always FRESH, and HOT!! Our fry cup is always full. And seem to have it all together. We will be back again, and again, etc ** in a matter 15 mins it went from 5 stars to 3.... So - I decide to stop at McDonald's because why not. I really wanted an apple pie - they tell me it's gonna be 10 minutes....sigh. Fine. So I pull up front and wait....scroll the net, check emails, etc. I notice it's definitely been like 30 minutes - so now I have to go inside dirty and paint covered (which is why I went through the drive through in the first place) to ask what's going on. First off, two separate people look at me/make eye contact, yet neither comes to help me. Another girl finally comes over and I explain that I've been waiting 30 minutes for a pie that should have been done 20 minutes ago. She says "oh yeah we had to make new ones" which I tell her I am aware of...hence me choosing to wait....but it's been 30 minutes. Which means you could have made 3 batches in the time y'all said the first one would be ready She's like "oh yeah it takes at least 15 minutes to make them" to which I again reply that it's been 30 - which is more that 15. So then she goes to the back and gets my pie. I let her go unscathed because she had nothing to do with - she wasn't the one who placed or made my order. BUT because of that fact, you should either go get my pie or point me to someone who can. I don't need an explanation of how to make a pie....I can literally bake my own - I'm well aware of the process. None of which y'all do here...you pop them into a glorified microwave and out comes a pie. Of course I don't check my food until I get home. I was at the window for about 10 mins waiting to pay as they tried to figure it out, without avail. David was really apologetic and friendly during the problem, which must have been a stressful situation for him since there were cars stuck behind me who didnt have a clue what was going on. They didn't charge me for my meal and I left feeling fine about the situation. Fast forward to today, a few weeks later, and David is at the window again.
