The food is standard mcdonalds, nothing amazing, but not disappointing. What is disappointing though is in the past how they would forget my kids Happy Meal french fries. When ordering a happy meal, there is an option to order 2 sides of french fries, and whenever that happens, they fail to give you 2 french fries and only give you 1. I have contacted customer service via email, which instructs me to pick up my fries on my next visit. Not the worse solution, but this wouldn't need any solution if it was done correctly the first time. They are currently under renovation, so hopefully once the new mcdonalds is ready, it'll come with better trained staff that will get the orders packed correctly.

Been awhile since my last time here and it's still your average McDonald's. Friendly service and the taste is just like any other location. This place does look a bit cleaner from what I remembered.

I get it, it's McDonald, don't expect the best but at least give me what I paid for. 3 out of 4 times in the last 2 months (way too often visiting I know :p) they made error in the drive through. First time they didn't give me a sandwich I paid for which I didn't realize till I get home. Second time was fine, third time they again forgot to give me a sandwich but I checked Third time they gave me a sandwich with no cheese It's just mind boggling how often this location make mistakes it's silly I actually made a complaint through their website and was reached out by email from a Denise Chung who was suppose to be the area supervisor. I was simply told via email that they are sorry and mention her name for my missing item next time. Weeks ago I went back and the staff I spoke to didn't know who she was.

Ordered 2 McGriddles, they gave me egg McMuffin instead. They overcharged me for a wrong order. They don't answer their phones, and i was already late to work, so i can't return back the order in time. Never going back to this one.

FRANK, SERVER 12/10 ATMOSPHERE: 10…read moreFOOD: 10 EASE OF SERVICE: 12/10 There's a reason this restaurant has been open since 1887. We happened to be nearby for a Doctor's appointment and passed here on the way there. When we arrived to the Doctor's office we called for a reservation and were offered 545pm for two(a rare & spontaneous date night). We left the Doctor's office and arrived to P.L. around 520pm. Friendly valet took our car and we entered. We were checked-in and advised to wait in the lounge area where the bar is. Not 5 minutes later we were seated. We received fresh bread(albeit cold not warm) and butter. We were promptly greeted by server Frank, who is very knowledgeable and assisted us with our selections. We decided on the wedge salad, one rib steak, and the crab cake(1) appetizer option, with mushrooms as a side. As our food arrived other tables started to join us in the side room with beautiful stained glass windows. The salad was very fresh and delicious. The crab cake was amazing, just pure crab, not lots of breading as filler. AMAZING!!!! A MUST-TRY!!!! We ordered the steak medium and it arrived perfectly pink in the center and hot off a hot plate with sizzling butter. CHEFS KISS!!! The mushrooms were whole and flavorful. Frank visited our table after each course to see if everything was fine and if we needed anything. Only experienced, tenured servers do this and even as he gained more tables to service he remained close by and available. I love that!!!! My husband wanted coffee so we ordered the apple strudel at Frank's recommendation and I'm so glad we did. It tasted like an old school recipe, maybe from the 1800's (one can hope&dream). It was accompanied by their famous SCHLAG which was divine!!!! If you're on a diet don't let anyone order it at your table because trust me, it'll entrance you, and you'll fold like a stack of cards. It's that amazing!!! Overall I'd give 6 stars if I could. Great place for celebrations like graduations or birthdays but also are welcomed just for a nice date night to enjoy their food and time with your spouse. FRANK suggested we return to try their burger, of which I've heard great things, will have to make it by 4pm, before lunch ends. Can't wait to come back!

Fast forward to last weekend, when I bribed them with a promise to visit a Mr. Beast Burger on a visit to Queens. I looked up nearby locations on its website, and the first location we tried in Port Washington appeared to be an incorrect address. We ended up selecting the Great Neck location next, which is actually the address of the Inn at Great Neck. The bartender at the hotel confirmed that they provide Mr. Beast Burger meals but said I had to order online. The website for the popular YouTube influencer didn't allow a pickup order here, so I asked the bartender again. He didn't know and turned instead to the person at reception, who told me I could download a meal delivery apps (which I decidedly don't use because of the fees they charge independent restaurants) and select the pickup option. I did that, but it took about a half-hour longer than the app said to have my meal handed to me, although it's possible the bartender didn't know to check. (There were two other people at the bar, so it's not as if it were that busy.) Limited to one order each, my kids ordered the grilled cheese, whose greatest innovation is being made with one half of a small hamburger bun placed upside-down, and the fries, which were cold and slightly soggy. Neither order was exceptional in any way or of any notable quality. Like I said, the guy is a marketing genius.

I got those along with a few Beast and Chandler Style burgers. I placed my order through the MrBeast Burger app (there's a delivery charge and service fee), the customer support reps were great in answering all my questions about my order and my delivery came 7 minutes earlier than my scheduled time. Note: They don't open until 5. The burgers all consisted of two patties and were all cooked decently on a soft bun with some crispy edges, which reminded me a little of Shake Shack. Even the french fries tasted like a variation of Shake Shack that just met expectations. I prefer the unseasoned fries over the seasoned. All the food can be considered mediocre without anything special that stood out. If you're craving a burger without any additional frills, MrBeast Burger is worth a try.

It's easily missed if you don't pay attention. There wasn't much pedestrian traffic either. Business is mainly depends on spread of words from returning customers. Right opposite from the cafe is Jmart Chinese grocery store which is convenient. Cafe closes 6 pm daily. Self service. No tips needed. Service: wait staff was very friendly. Food time was quick. Owners stopped by the table and started conversation. It was karaoke time when we walked in. Food: - their milk tea was highly recommended to us. So four of us tried the hot and cold milk tea and hot milk tea / coffee combo. All of them were very rich in flavor and smooth, exactly what a milk tea should be. $4.75 for a 12 oz hot milk tea is reasonable. - French toast with peanut butter: Love the syrup that it came with. It has a distinct refreshing flavor with delighted sweetness. Definitely different from other syrup from other places which is just pure sweetness. Owner told us the syrup was imported from England. Highly recommended! - turnip, fish ball, rice roll: 3 in one bowl. Portion is enough to share - scallion chicken: It was recommended to me also. It was indeed very tender and flavorful. $24 for half a chicken with one quart of soup. Conclusion: will definitely return. Even just stopping by to pick up a flavorful milk tea which is cheaper than a sugary bubble tea.

OK, I'm finally ready to give my review!…read more I moved to Little Neck earlier this year and have been coming to Marathon Cafe pretty often. I was ready to give it 5 stars after my first few visits, but I wanted to try as many dishes as possible before rushing a review. After several visits, I'd confidently give it 4.5 stars. Here's everything I've tried and what I'd recommend: Beef Macaroni with Egg: A million times YES!!! Believe the hype because it's every bit as good as everyone says! It's the ultimate comfort food. The cellentani pasta is an elite choice, cooked perfectly al dente and coated in a sweet, thick, tangy tomato sauce that's flavorful without being overly acidic. This is an absolute must order! Creamed Corn with Fried Fish: Don't knock it until you try it! The creamed corn is thick, smooth, and naturally sweet, while the fish is perfectly crispy without being overcooked. It sounds like an unusual combination, but somehow it works incredibly well together. Tom Yum Seafood Noodle Soup: The broth is tangy, slightly sweet, and very comforting. I personally would've liked it a bit spicier, but it was still delicious. It also comes with large shrimps and mussels. Rice Rolls with Fish Balls & Turnip: A Cantonese staple done right! The rice rolls are soft and bouncy, served with the perfect balance of peanut sauce and hoisin. The turnip is tender, and everything comes together really well. Bolo Yau (Pineapple Bun with Butter): The pineapple bun is warm, fluffy, and flaky. Honestly, it's delicious even on its own. The thick slab of butter melts quickly, which makes it a little too oily... Drinks: The iced Hong Kong milk tea and the red bean ice are classic Cantonese staples. You really can't come here without ordering one. What I wasn't crazy about: Lava French Toast: Too crunchy and slightly burnt. It tasted over caramelized, with just too much going on. Not for me! Thick Egg & Spam Sandwich: Nothing special. It was pretty bland, and honestly, it's something you could easily make at home. Not worth the $7. Scallion Chicken over Rice: I don't really understand the hype for this one... The poached chicken itself was a little bland and could've used a little more salt. The ginger scallion sauce usually makes this dish, but here it did the opposite. The scallions were chopped too thick instead of finely minced, so all I tasted was scallion, nothing else. :/ Fried Pork Chop & Cheese with Curry Sauce: It was just OK. I wasn't a fan of the curry sauce. What I would recommend instead is ordering the fried pork chop on the side with their pepper sauce. I paired them together myself, and it was much better! For now, I've tried everything that was on my list, but I'll definitely keep coming back for my favorites. One thing I really appreciate is how consistent they've been with every visit. The portions are generous for the price, and overall it's a place I'd highly recommend if you're looking for solid Hong Kong style comfort food.
