Normally I would not review a McDonald's. However, I do agree that the staff here are generally unpleasant. Used to chalk it up to them individually having a bad day...but now I suspect there must be more to this. Read the other reviews. Wonder why it's so consistent and over the years... so I'm making a guess... must come from the top. Fast food is typical. Nothing against the food. 8/28 2020 around 9 clock i ordered 5 McChicken and a Large coke, also I helped out my friend and get another order of Buttermilk Crispy chicken combo. Somehow he charged me $35 for something I did not order. So when I received my order he gave me my McChicken and one coke with 5 small fries. But I didn't order any fries except for the one that comes with the combo, so basically he charged me for another 5 small fries that I didn't want. I told him my order was wrong and I'm missing the buttermilk crispy chicken and the drink that comes with it. He later give me the crispy chicken but he just won't give me the drink for my friend. I can't believe I am even rating a McDonald's about their drive thru service!!! I do not know what the HEK I was thinking stopping here this late morning to get an unhealthy breakfast when DD was just a few blocks away. The workers here are just plain rude and dealing with rude people in the morning will definitely make your rainy day worse, the girl at the drive thru had such an attitude taking my order! Conversation went something like this: I forget how the greet was... Me: I'd like a coffee please. Drive thru girl: what size? Me: Medium please. Drive thru girl: how would you like it? (Attitude coming on) Me: Milk & Sugar please (I assumed they give you those little sugar packs & mini creamers to go so I didn't state how many I needed) Drive thru girl: how many sugars? (This time she sounded as if I annoyed her and as if she hates her life or something.) Me: 1 or 2. (A little thrown off by her tone through a freaking speaker, lol) Long story short, I finished up my order and drove up to the drive thru and gave her my card for payment, she takes it without looking at me and I noticed her shaking her head as?! For what?! I didn't do anything to her! I know the nasty attitude head shake was for me because she wasn't taking anyone else's order and was not talking to anybody in the background.. ANYWAY, She then gives me my card back and hands me the coffee as if it killed her to do so. I obviously didn't even say thank you or anything. Just annoyed at the fact that this worker was just so rude and it honestly ruined my morning and my morning coffee.. Which I must say, was my mistake of trusting McDonald's to serve decent coffee since their frappes are pretty delicious. Finally, another girl brought me my meal and I said thank you but guess what she just passed it over with no "your welcome" or "have a nice day". I work in the hospitality industry and quite frankly customer service is everything NO MATTER WHERE YOU GO. This McDonald's was no where near professional nor polite. They don't care to please their customers. I understand it's not a fancy restaurant but I'm not getting my food for free. I am paying for it. If I am paying you for something, you should be appreciative. Every dollar counts. If you're having a bad day, I'm sorry but don't bring your misery to work and ruin my morning! Next time if you don't want to serve me then just say so, I'll gladly take my 5 dollars elsewhere and not waste 10 minutes of my life writing this angry Yelp review for MCDONALD's! Problem number 1: Nobody wears their badge. I can only assume that they do this so that you are unable to report them. I went to get a McFlurry and the manager was EXTREMELY rude. First of all, the place wasn't busy. I paid and waited patiently for my order. The manager, a man (I assume this because he was wearing a different colored shirt than the other employees), came up to me and asked me if I wanted M&Ms instead of Oreos because they were out. I calmly said I did not want them and rather than give me my money back, he aggressively threw the cup of ice cream into the trash can and stormed towards the back of the counter. I then waited for someone to help me, as I had already paid for the item and wanted a refund. As I started to explain to another employee what had happened, he come up and yelled angrily, "HERE!! WE HAVE THEM" while shaking a bag of Oreos. This has been the worse experience I've ever had at a McDonalds. EVER. This is no way to treat your costumers, especially ones that are not argumentative. It's a McDonalds, you know what to expect. The biggest plusses to this location is: recent renovation so inside doesn't look bad. Fairly clean. 24/7 drive through. While this is pretty standard it sits on the border with Nassau which is very anti-drive through so its a nice location to have. They have a kids playground thingy if thats what you are into. Otherwise, standard McD food. I've never been wow-d or blown away by any McD offering. Salty, fatty, bland, its McD. "New" sauces are the same old sauces. read more

I had stayed away from this McDonald's location for many years after I got food poisoning from the nuggets. Finally they had an 'A' rating so I decided to try it. Unfortunately this one doesn't have the kiosks yet so ordering with a cashier can be hard because some of them don't speak great English. This location has a nice play area for kids. At my most recent visit, I decided to try to new Quarter Pounder. I wasn't one of those people that had a problem with the old way that the burgers tasted. You don't go to McDonalds because you want a burger joint style burger. Sometimes I go with McDonalds because I'm just craving grease. I was insanely shocked by the taste of this burger. This may offend some people, but I would say that the taste rivals more expensive burger places like Red Robin. My mom(who says that the burgers taste like hockey pucks) was shocked by it. As I said I don't typically go to McDonalds because I want a gourmet type burger, I want GREASE! So I probably wouldn't get it again, but is definitely very different. read more

Since I live near there, I usually go there for quick eats and they forget some of our food 30% of the time. There is time that this place need to get fixed but I love the fact that one employee walked out the restaurant saying "DON'T GO IN THEIR THEY DONT'T KNOW WHAT THE F#$% THEIR DOING" and she is not wrong. But the manger was kind enough to give us one on the house. But the wait time was 25 min and only 4 people on the order line. But the employees in this establishment did not know what their doing. If you happen to get the misfortune of getting the drive thru girl who helps you at 6 AM. Besides not caring at all about double checking your order. Ana who will greet you "hi my name is Ana" will also take your order repeat it to you and herself twice, but completely fail to realize she is missing an item or two. It's really hard for the drive thru staff in the morning to get anything right so just make sure you check your order and try not to get Ana as drive thru girl. Food is so variable you never know what you're going to get. Sometimes hot, other times cold and chewy as if it's been sitting under a warmer for an extended period of time. Yeah so McDonald's is usually McDonald's. But I experience such uneven service here it deserves a post. Typically it's the standard interaction and the wait isn't too bad. Plus the upside to this location is that it's got a 24 hour drivethrough, although the layout of the entrance / exits to the street is awkward, requiring some backing up if going east on Northern and making a turn at the camera-equipped stoplight on Marathon. Problem is, you also get some lousy service. One morning, for example, I got charged extra for the egg in the sausage-egg sandwich - and then to add insult to injury, the egg part wasn't cooked. Not to mention the stale biscuit. So wah wah, McDonald's isn't perfect every time. But the guy running the window clearly had no clue even though I explained to him the mistake a couple different ways. I don't think English was his first language, which is more power to him, because I'm a typical philistine American monoglot. But dude, don't put a guy in charge of a place overnight if he can't manage simple transactions or handle obvious mistakes or communicate with customers. read more

McDonald's is fast food - but their prices increase and their products are supposed to reflect this with the introduction of the asian salad, the mango or berry fruit smoothies among other things. Why is it when I want a drink with no ice they want to charge me more money? Or... When I go there to get a sausage egg mcMuffin 2x a week they forget the sausage, or they forget the egg?? How hard is it to hear "Sausage egg mc muffin please"? Whats worse its not the drive through's fault, I've made it a point to go inside to order face to face and it keeps occurring. I've noticed some workers at this mcdonalds do not have english as their native language and as a result perhaps caused this problem. Mc Donalds throws free food at people like me who call to complain about this problem. I dont want free food I want to get the food I ordered and when I get to work 20 minutes later not have to worry that I got the wrong items. This place has great drive through service and is one of the original kings of McDonalds where the jungle gym isn't a death trap. I think I met my first crush here at the age of 6 years old.. before that, I was probably very gay or very deprived of non-male inquisitiveness. I would also like to point out that this place serves great Honey Mustard. It's so good even that I wouldn't want to have honey mustard anywhere else. The only problem with this place is the drive through like I mentioned before, woops, I'm too lazy to delete, but that was the service (which isn't bad). It's on Northern Blvd and it's an awful location to have it because you can never drive in and when you want to turn down 251 street, it's virtually impossible to go around.
