Tried this place for the first time recently and just got the deal breaker items- Sicilian slice, regular slice, chicken roll. The Sicilian was really thick and had a crunchy crust. Great tasting. The regular slice was thin and crispy, but the sauce and taste was just not there for us. It just didn't have enough seasoning in my opinion. Chicken roll was huge. Fluffy dough encased some of the best tasting chicken we've ever had. Final verdict- really good food. They packed it with care for delivery and even though we just ordered slices, they seemed more or less fresh and not like they were just sitting out all day. Ordered online for pick up and pizza was hot and ready. Margarita pie was very good. Sweet, tangy, and fresh basil on top. Supreme pie was good and packed full of toppings, mushrooms, peppers, sausages. The middle part was a bit soggy however. But taste and the amount of toppings was good. They did not cheap out. Primavera pie is like a veggie pie with mushrooms peppers, broccoli. Sides of the crust was perfect but the middle was soggy. Tasted good and ingredients were packed as much as possible. This place is in front of the bus, it can be hard to grab and go if theres no parking on the street. Service was quick and fast. There were a few tables and very clean if you want to eat there. Our neighbor recommended this restaurant to us because of their $10 lunch specials. My fiance was craving a cheeseburger and we took advantage of the special by ordering through Seamless. I also decided to order Fried Calamari which was also $10. Seamless order went smoothly but delivery was 30 minutes late. We were hungry and started to get cranky that I ended up calling the restaurant to check on the status. The status was our order was the last delivery order and apologized for the delay. Once we finally got our order, the food was still hot thankfully. My fiance devoured his cheeseburger and fries which were still crispy. My calamari tasted good especially after not having it for over three months, however, it started to get soggy so I had to devour it. I have been going here for a few months. Yesterday, I ordered off of Uber eats. I ate half & saved half... I started to eat my salad & seen a brownish sort of ball. I thought it was seasoning of some sort. So I pulled it out my salad and pressed it between my fingers and it was disgusting! A fly!! I was able to see the wings. I immediately spit out what I was still chewing and rinsed my mouth out. I went in to tell them & while she is telling me this had never happen a fly passes our faces. My favorite restaurant hands down. Great people great food. I order almost every day (not exaggerating)!

By now, Bocconcini has been in the neighborhood for over a year and a half. It replaced another restaurant in the same space. A renovation was done and then, came the grand opening. My wife tried the food shortly after the grand opening and said that the pizza was good. Shortly afterwards we ordered the pizza for delivery. Throughout the months, we found that Bocconcini was indeed one of the better pizzerias in the area. I recently had the chance to dine in and in the process, finally found out what it was about Bocconcini that made me order again and again from them. We ordered an extra cheese pizza, fried calamari and an order of buffalo wings. While we were dining, the owner came over and I told him how much we liked the pizza. He went on to fill in the blanks as to why the pizza is different and better. Firstly, the crust is not oily. Secondly, the cheese is not cheap cheese where oil is added and the grease cooks out of the cheese. If you lift up one of their slices vertically, you won't see a drop of oil fall to the pan. Finally, we learned that the owner eschews canned products. To me, the most obvious example of this is their mushroom pizza. You will smell and taste the umami of a Bocconcini mushroom slice. Bocconicini makes other typical Italian-American dishes that aren't pizza. We enjoyed the calamari and buffalo wings and we could easily discern it's quality. In other delivery orders, we tried their pastas which are equally solid. In conclusion, Bocconcini serves the quintessential New York slice at a higher quality than your typical slice shop. The prices are very reasonable and the table service was good. All in all, I would continue to order as their combination of value and quality couldn't be matched in the area. read more

The service and quality are not there. Service I order a large pie with sausage from their online portal on and bill comes to $19.30 which includes a .68 convenience fee. Guess I should have just called instead as there was no one in the place when I got there and I still waited 10 minutes. BTW, this was on a saturday at 6:30pm. I then hand the girl a $20 as she stands there and carries on her conversation with the more senior girl for a bit until I have to interrupt to get my change. Remember the place is empty. There is no change available except for nickels. She asks the senior girl if she should just give me a dollar back; she says no, give the nickels. I offer to pay by credit card to avoid getting .70 cents in nickels. She says there is a 4% upcharge, which is far above what I have ever seen before. Glad I paid a convenience fee already. For who's convenience was it? Mine or theirs. Quality The sausage came all dried out, piled up in clumps around the center of the pie. I can almost accept this if your staff is swamped and crazy busy. I was the only person there besides the 2 counter girls and pizza guy, and ordered ahead of time and still waited 10 minutes. The cheese was also weird. For some reason, all the cheese slide off the pizza with the first bite for everyone one of us. Don't know what that indicates but it wasn't due to it being hot and right out of the oven. Overall, I couldn't see myself going back. No place is perfect but these issues are easily avoidable. read more

I come here often and just recently went after they reopened and the people behind the counter were NOT wearing masks. The one man had no mask on his face while giving me my food and while me paying. The other girl waitress was wearing what gov cuomo would call a "chin guard"- she had a mask but on her CHIN. Her nose and mouth were completely exposed. I get it. Wearing a mask is (for some reason) controversial. But isn't wearing masks one of the requirements of reopening? If you don't want to wear a mask then you aren't allowed to reopen. My 2 stars is for their food. They have good paninis, salads, fries, and garlic knots. I do sometimes get their individual slices, which are good, but I recently got a pie. The entire bottom of the pizza was thin but center of the pie was especially thin. It was so thin that the tomato sauce had made it soggy and was very very floppy. read more

Not knowing the backstory to use as a barometer to measure then and now, so out with the then -- here's the now. A crew of very fine folks handled my simple two regular slice order, it was no relaunch kindness tease, the sincerity was true so it pains me on more than one level to deliver a bad report of the pizza, truly it does. Cheese, tomato sauce, and dough constitute the main components. Two of the three can not be chinced on, you just cant buy low quality cheese and sauce. Heck, sauce needs love too and there was no love in the sauce, it really tasted canned. Although the cheese needed an upgrade, the obvious issue really sat between the dough and the cheese. The relaunch really needs a true man or woman sauce specialist. I honestly think this one issue, if resolved correctly and expeditiously, will bring in the crowds in droves. read more

A place where you are treated like family, by everyone - be it the counter/order takers, the cooks, even the delivery folks - but more importantly, by the Owner (Gaz!) who truly takes pride in his establishment. Folks, this isn't just a "Pizzeria", it's really more a terrific, casual dining restaurant, with a menu that's got so many delicious items to choose from, there is bound to be something on there for ANY taste or craving, but here's the thing: Even if you DON'T SEE something on the menu you like, chances are, if you ask - they will be able to make it for you, but at very least, they're always willing to accomodate special requests in preparing a dish to your exact liking! We ordered the special which included a large pie, a house salad and pasta for $25. It seemed like a good deal so why not? It came in a decent amount of time and the pizza was good. Not great, but good. Their sauce is tasty. It's just that the salad and pasta were not what I expected. It was literally pasta and sauce and a very small side salad. Again, it wasn't bad it was okay. I did order the salad dressing with their namesake which said it was olive oil and lemon juice. It was way too much lemon for my taste. It didn't taste like a dressing at all.
