Great neighborhood spot. I stopped in after getting a haircut across the street. Lady behind the register is really sweet & kind. All the slices were perfect & not too salty.

We stopped by for a quick lunch and it hit the spot. The staff was very nice and the pizza was thin crust and crunchy. Just what we wanted. The garlic knots was fresh garlic which is a must in our book.

Our neighbor recommended this restaurant to us because of their $10 lunch specials. My fiance was craving a cheeseburger and we took advantage of the special by ordering through Seamless. I also decided to order Fried Calamari which was also $10. Seamless order went smoothly but delivery was 30 minutes late. We were hungry and started to get cranky that I ended up calling the restaurant to check on the status. The status was our order was the last delivery order and apologized for the delay. Once we finally got our order, the food was still hot thankfully. My fiance devoured his cheeseburger and fries which were still crispy. My calamari tasted good especially after not having it for over three months, however, it started to get soggy so I had to devour it. This place is definitely price friendly and popular because of their lunch and daily deals. Food portion and quality is great for the price. We would just not order it through Seamless. We would call and pick up our order.

Please double check your bill before paying! The prices on the menu are not what they bill for. They charged me more for each item we ordered and when we asked them about it, the manager told us that they have a right to change the prices without informing the customers (!!).

THE SAUCEEE! I feel like I'm always wishing for more sauce when I go to pizzerias but this place loaded the pizza with sauce and the crust was so crispy! My friends and I were actually planning to go to another restaurant nearby but they weren't open so we wandered into this one. I feel like business isn't doing so well but then again we came in at 3pm. SUPPORT THIS RESTAURANT AND GIVE THIS RESTAURANT A TRY! Please refer to the picture to see the sauce. Plus, super big pizza fed three 24 year olds for $20. Very nice :)

This is my go to for the daily specials and occasionally pizza. The food is always FRESH, HOT and DELICIOUS. Tonight I wasn't feeling well and was on my own for dinner. I went online to view their new website. They offer FREE delivery if you order online!! Saves me money over Seamless After looking at the entrees, specials and such, I saw Sausage Risotto with spinach and mushrooms. I immediately ordered. My meal arrived within an hour and when I say I have found my new favorite comfort food, I am NOT lying! It is perfectly prepared! Not mushy or under cooked; it is creamy and delicious. I dug in before I could take a pic I was so excited! It was served with a beautiful semolina bread and a side salad. I added a 2 liter of soda. It was definitely enough for two meals and cost less than $25! I have been a frequent patron since November of 2016 and have always found their food, desserts and customer service TOP Notch! Please don't change! Forgive the paper plate! Lol I have the flu

By now, Bocconcini has been in the neighborhood for over a year and a half. It replaced another restaurant in the same space. A renovation was done and then, came the grand opening. My wife tried the food shortly after the grand opening and said that the pizza was good. Shortly afterwards we ordered the pizza for delivery. Throughout the months, we found that Bocconcini was indeed one of the better pizzerias in the area. I recently had the chance to dine in and in the process, finally found out what it was about Bocconcini that made me order again and again from them. We ordered an extra cheese pizza, fried calamari and an order of buffalo wings. While we were dining, the owner came over and I told him how much we liked the pizza. He went on to fill in the blanks as to why the pizza is different and better. Firstly, the crust is not oily. Secondly, the cheese is not cheap cheese where oil is added and the grease cooks out of the cheese. If you lift up one of their slices vertically, you won't see a drop of oil fall to the pan. Finally, we learned that the owner eschews canned products. To me, the most obvious example of this is their mushroom pizza. You will smell and taste the umami of a Bocconcini mushroom slice. Bocconicini makes other typical Italian-American dishes that aren't pizza. We enjoyed the calamari and buffalo wings and we could easily discern it's quality. In other delivery orders, we tried their pastas which are equally solid. In conclusion, Bocconcini serves the quintessential New York slice at a higher quality than your typical slice shop. The prices are very reasonable and the table service was good. All in all, I would continue to order as their combination of value and quality couldn't be matched in the area.

When we walked in, a kind gentleman warmly greeted us and seated us right away--a great start. As soon as we sat down, complimentary warm bread with butter was served, which was a nice touch. Throughout the meal, the bus team was attentive and courteous--our water glasses were refilled without us having to ask, plates were cleared promptly, and clean utensils were provided to replace used ones, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case with our waiter. He took our order and then essentially disappeared--we didn't see him again until we had to wave him down for the check. Honestly, we wish the bus staff had been our server. We shared the seafood salad, which felt more like a single-person portion than something meant to share. I had the filet of sole Francese, and my husband ordered the chicken Pugliese, today's special. The fish was good, but I wasn't particularly wowed--the food wasn't bad, but nothing really stood out. While there were some nice touches, the inconsistent service and lack of standout dishes make it hard for us to return.

The Alfredo sauce was watery and not as creamy (the ratio was bit off). For dessert we ordered the tiramisu and the rum cake. The rum cake had generous amounts of rum. Overall we have had better food and service. Thankfully we were able to dine in as walk ins at the very last minute. We have had better food and experiences at other neighborhood Italian restaurants.

Breakfast Cheesesteak ($22) - slices of Prime rib, provolone, onions, and two runny eggs, with fries on the side. This was like an upscale version of a Philly cheesesteak. The bread was excellent again and the eggs were a nice touch. Fries were spot-on, though I wish they offered more than just ketchup (an aioli or mayo would've been great). Penne Vodka ($25) - Came with onions, peas, and prosciutto. The sauce was creamy and coated the penne nicely, but the peas tasted like frozen ones and I could barely find any prosciutto-I really had to hunt for them. Portion was on the smaller side, and I would've loved some extra Parmesan to top it off but none was offered. Overall, we found the food was pretty good. Nothing over the top, but authentic, fresh and flavorful. I think portions are on smaller side, don't expect family style portions but that's okay, the quality makes up for it. The new hostess and the greeting by Phillipe could not have made us feel any more welcome. We were offered a choice of seating and while we love the look and feel of the back patio it was a bit too cool and breezy out there.... We decided to sit in the front room as it is generally quieter and more low key. There were many larger groups with celebrations and you could see they were all having a good time. Our waiter Luis, came and introduced himself, brought our menus and inquired about water, drinks, etc. We told him we wanted only pumpernickel rolls: they are warm, fresh out of the oven and truly addictive. Our waters and my white Zinfandel arrived shortly thereafter. Our fresh goat cheese salad arrived with the raspberry vinaigrette and as always it was carefully divided. Luis came to check on everything as he and other staff members ( both members who we know through dining here repeatedly over the years) and new additions. Everyone always treats you like family. Very good pacing of the meal.... Nice and leisurely, not rushed but no long breaks between courses. Then our main dishes arrived. My husband had the pappardelle with mixed seafood, no sausage- plentiful and loaded with flavor. I get the shrimp a La Rodos.... 5 very nice sized shrimp with with lots of diced fresh tomatoes and feta cheese, served with my 2 favorite side dishes- mashed potatoes and beets.... All YUMMY and very generous portions. My husband's Stella Artois arrives in a nice cold glass with the main dish, as requested. Luis again checks on everything and then shortly thereafter we get the surprise of the evening. Peter, the new owner stops by and chats with us. It was a pleasure to meet him: we are sure he is very busy running back and forth between his two restaurants. and making sure that everything is going smoothly. We had a lot to talk about. Well, he has a tough act to follow but so far the food, service and hospitality are still 5 star !!! We ended our meal on a high note. A FABULOUS meal has to end on a sweet note. We were offered about 5 or 6 dessert choices. We selected the chocolate mousse cake. A rich, creamy sweet conclusion to a superb meal served by a warm, caring staff. Everyone including Luis, Felipe and the new hostess gave us a fond Farewell on the way out. We eagerly look forward to returning after their vacation at the beginning of August !! Most of what came out of the kitchen was diner quality at best--nothing special, but not offensive. The duck, however, was a disaster. It tasted old and stale, like it had been sitting in a freezer for months before being rushed through a fryer. The meat was fried to a dry, brittle crisp, and the only flavor came from a cloying sweet duck sauce slapped on top. No richness, no tenderness, no redeeming qualities. We absolutely hated our meal and the entire time we spent there. I can't recommend this place to anyone who actually cares about what they eat.
