Ok so were not from the area. The family was just in town for the weekend for the Spaceport soccer tournament. The Sunday we left, it was my youngest son's birthday and he wanted McDonald's for breakfast. Look, I'm not a McDonald's fan, despite the years of free endorsements from Chad Ocho Cinco saying it is the best food/restaurant ever made. But the birthday boy gets his choice. Luckily, this one has a play area so it was a win win. I have to say, I was very impressed with this location. It was super clean. Staff was super helpful, friendly. The staff were not your typical 17 year olds who hate life. Even the other patrons seemed to be happy. There were several, what looked like to me to be, church groups having meetings. Impressive. I want to give recognition and praise to Adriana one of the managers at my local McDonalds. I cant begin to tell you how special I feel. The other day when I was in the restaurant I went to use the Kiosk in the restaurant when Adriana walked past me and greeted me by my first name. Mind you I had not placed an order yet so her memory was not refreshed by an order where it shows the customers name. She very sweetly while multitasking during the commotion and loudness of lunch rush she so very sweetly said " Hi Breeana" To some people thats not a big deal to me I found it to be an extremely sweet gesture of kindness. I cant imagine the hundreds of people she sees on a weekly basis but she knew my name and addressed me as such. If she ends up reading this I would like to tell her Adriana you are an amazing person and I cant begin to tell you how impressed and grateful I am that you remembered my name I am nobody special but you made me feel so important and you absolutely deserve to be recognized for you exceptional customer service and interaction. Has anyone had a cheeseburger from there lately? What's with the cracker-thin pattie's?!? Most recently, ordered what WAS my fav, the 2 Cheeseburger Meal. The Pattie's from both sandwiches together wasn't even a single patty's worth of meat!!! And, yes, the price of the food went up. The service has been suffering a bit, too. Fries are almost always old, never fresh, and super chewy like they were refried. You specifically request napkins, utensils, etc. and get none, even when you pay for it. No attention to detail anymore, either. So less for more becomes the understatement of the year now. Wow-just wow! This Mc D has plenty of parking, a pretty quick drive thru depending on the time of your arrival. Staff is friendly and restrooms are pretty clean. There's a kiosk if you want to place your order yourself inside or place the order with the cashier. Food is what you'd expect from mc D. I'm giving this place a shout. I know. It's McDonald's. But in this town, for 80% of the residents, it's probably a weekly even daily stop. Whether it's a coffee, or breakfast, lunch or dinner for the fam. I imagine they do $20-$50k a day. Most people that come here are probably impatient too. Including myself occasionally. But the workers HUSTLE. The drive thru is stellar especially if you use the app (I wish more people would). Almost never wrong. And if you have to pull up and wait it's only for a few moments. The inside is clean and has the kids play place. Just go inside to pick up once at the counter and you'll see these people have their foot on the gas. No standing around. It's a thankless job with a lot of grief. But I appreciate them all. CRANKING out your food. Have some compassion for these good people. A+++ read more

There's a big improvement at this place. Newly renovated indoor and play place. Free wifi for limited time. I heard that they will kick you out if you are just there to use the wifi, unless you'll buy something every 30 minutes. They have touch screens for you to place your order instead of talking to the cashier. I prefer coming here than going to walmart's mc donald. I guess it is just the vibes. Mc Donald has been consistently good, for me. I can compare the quality versus Carl's Jr, which I used to like. People hang out here, the seniors, I guess I can see myself coming here soon. Lol. You come here for the play place not the service. Your toddler will enjoy the turn and twist of slides and many obstacles this play place has to offer. This is one of the cleanest play places in the area. The service is a hit n miss. Often time they forget to bring the fix in for the oatmeal or get your coffee drink right. Terrible service and food. Ordering online for curbside delivery was a no go. Their website does not announce curbside pickup is no longer available, you have to pick up through their drive through, then if you want to cancel the order, they are not at all clear if it's cancelled or not, then, after a long wait in the drive thru (should've checked the food before driving off) the three orders of fries were stale and cool, the spicy chicken nuggets had very little "sauce" and the burger was also cool. McDonald's used to be one of my favorites for fast food (my monthly cheat day) but not anymore. The quality of the food has gone down dramatically and service as well. I just moved to Lompoc and have gone to this location a few times and each time ordered the Big Mac. How can you go wrong on a Big Mac? Brand new McDonalds on S. Broadway, Santa Maria now has to be staffed by brain deficient employees. This location used to be the epitome of efficiency. Then they tore it down and built a new one. The old crew must have quit in the interim. Now you drive up in the a.m. and they don't even greet you, just silence. Drive up to the window and they appear confused on how to serve a cup of coffee. At lunch you are now always asked to wait. Is it a surprise that somebody orders lunch at...lunch?? It is always mind boggling to me when a business entity invests so heavily in a franchise and lets it be operated by indifferent employees with no concept of customer service. I refuse to go there. This business actually allows panhandlers to sit and beg money from you as you come out of the drive thru. Every day a new person sitting on a bucket. The question is what is going in with this McDonalds?. 99c burritos the only place that sell them for $1.99 even when they are under the $1 menu, it's just a tortilla with minimum stuff in it. Every two weeks I take my son here so he can play in the Play Place while I write. I have to say it is a good place for me and my son. I can watch him play alone and with other kids. Since we just moved to Lompoc from Orange County my son hasn't had a chance to make many friends to play with but he gets a chance to do that here. We usually order a happy meal and ice cream as a treat for a good two weeks and the food is everything it needs to be. This is not a four star restaurant and they sometimes give us yogurt instead of apple slices but none of that is difficult to remedy. Often, if they are not busy they will hold off on getting our ice cream until we have finished our meal which is really nice of them. Anyways, I am really grateful for this McDonald's and the safe place it is for my son and for me. I saw some bad reviews for it and just wanted to voice my gratitude. read more

Really enjoy grabbing my Big Mac from time to time.
