A 15 minute bike ride, and a 40 minute bus ride got me there.. The young guys that were behind the counter complemented me on My tattoos, and made me feel extremely welcome. I knew exactly what I wanted, despite everything on the menu looking amazing. By the way, I will be back for the hot chicken. But I digress... I got a classic, and added cheese and bacon. I also ordered bacon cheese fries. The atmosphere of the place was so inviting and quaint I knew I had chosen the right place even before my food came. I hadn't eaten since breakfast so I was wildly ready for this meal. But nothing prepared me for what I saw when they called my name when my order was ready... I stuck my fork into the fries first, golden brown and smothered in bacon and cheese. The second my fork broke the surface, clouds of steam rose off, as they were piping hot. The burger, nestled in a half rap of chef's paper, screamed at me the dive into, which I did immediately. A few minutes and a few pictures in, I questioned whether I could finish everything but as you can see from the final photograph it was really never in question. But this place is much more than beer, and I can't recommend it enough. First, there is a bar completely separate from the eating area, so you can choose what experience you want. Second, I've known that all their beers are top notch, which is why I wanted to come here. I'm not an IPA guy, but the black IPA is some top notch stuff that anyone can appreciate. Not super hoppy, really well balanced. Blonde stout is another superb creation, Lancaster gets some depth into it that many other breweries can't manage. Third, if you want food, they learned from the Food Network and limited their menu to just a few choices, all excellently prepared. I ordered the Angry Mac with gator meat. It had excellent flavor, they made it spicier like I asked, and unlike most places they provided plenty of meat. Great quantity and great taste that I wasn't expecting. I tasted my friend's polenta and it was perfectly balanced with some cheese, not too salty. I could eat that for days. Finally, Eva, our waitress? Wonderful. My friend and I were weighing dessert, we wanted a brownie but not the whole hot fudge brownie sundae. Eva made it work and even split it between heated and cold. What a great server. Props to Eva! To get this quality of food, this quality of beer, this quality of service, and this quality of ambiance all in one? No wonder my friend was willing to go two days in a row. The Harrisburg location is not half as nice as the original location, as it's in a fairly nondescript building on the side of a major highway. But we nevertheless had a great time there. Our server was Arley who was superb. My girlfriend and I both got flights. Unlike most other breweries I've been to that serve 4 beers to a flight and might charge extra for high ABV beers, Lancaster Brewing Co. serves 6 to a flight and only charges $13. That's a great deal in my experience. My girlfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I ordered the lamb burger. Both came out quickly and were top notch. We had a great time and would definitely come back if we're ever in the area again. In the meantime, I'll keep looking for their beers at the liquor store.

I asked dad what he wanted for dinner. "Hamburgers". Ok, I'm on it. I opened up my Uber Eats app and looked for hamburger joints with good ratings - that's how we got to Mrbeast Burger. Mrbeast is a unique concept restaurant - it's usually delivery only (though some offer pickup) and is often a "ghost" kitchen - a to-go restaurant inside of another restaurant. I know, confusing, don't worry, not important. The menu is limited to burgers, a couple of chicken tender sandwiches, a lone grilled cheese, crinkle fries and bottled sodas. I ordered two Beast style burgers , one Chandler style burger and fries all around. I scheduled our order ahead of time and had it in my hand right on time. The burgers were fresh and hot. The fries were hot but soggy due to the condensation in the box they were packaged in. The beast burger is two smash patties, ketchup, mayo, brown mustard, raw onion, pickles and cheese. The chandler is pretty basic - two burgers and American cheese. You can add a variety of sauces and toppings for an upcharge. (Ketchup was 30 cents - I pulled the bottle out of the fridge for free). The burgers were large, fresh and juicy, the cheese melted perfectly and the toppings added in just the right amount. They really were delicious. The fries, like I said, were soggy. Maybe different packaging could solve this problem. Either way, three fries were too much for three people. You already know that when you order Uber Eats, you are going to pay a premium when you consider delivery, fees and tip. Ordering delivery directly from the Mrbeast website was actually a little higher still. When everything was done, our dinner was over $50 - quite a lot for a burger and fries. But then, not dragging my 80+ year old parents, with her walker and his cane, out to a restaurant is almost priceless. Dad is pretty savvy with technology, I'm confident he will now start ordering out all of the time. I may have created a beast!
