This Dairy Queen employs very polite teenagers- similar to experiences at a Chick Fil A. They were extremely busy this evening and the young man taking the orders - politely and kept his cool. Kudos to him. Our $7 meal deals were delivered to our table. You can't beat the price - for either a cheeseburger or 3 chicken strips, fries, a drink and a small sundae. We saved our coupons for the sundaes for another time - we were full and barely touched the fries. Also it was very busy and wanted to give up our booth for other customers. I used to come over pretty often when my son is small, no longer. I wanted some ice cream so I drove across town to go to the DQ. I can't tell you how annoyed I am to order a blizzard and watch the girl at the window touch my spoon ping it off her fingertips and palm then put it in my blizzard. I said really do you think that's ok? And I got a look of total bewilderment. I actually had to explain to the two of them that it wasn't ok. "So do you want us to make you another one?" I've eaten here plenty of times. TodAy I got the double cheese burger , fries, coke My husband got the honey bbq chicken basket with ranch on the side And then I got the 3 beer cheese pretzels. The cheese is a tad bit spicy. Their fries are good, but too soft for me. As my husband doesn't mind them like that. He stated the chicken was good too. Food here is ok if you like fast food. I usually just go for the ice cream which is such a delicious treat. My favorite is a twist cone with chocolate sprinkles. Why did they do a way with the chocolate sprinkles? Service is usually ok. I wish they would stop touching the cones with their bare hands especially when they're handling money. I am a regular here. Pretty sure they know me as the "peanut butter lovers girl". Like I mean I go here at least twice a week. I've never had an issue here. Other than them making my blizzard wrong twice. It was very similar & I could still eat it. But I'm pretty sure the blizzard I get isn't advertised on their menu so I understand if they made it different. The staff is always so nice & patient. The 4 stars are for the price. I constantly use my app rewards to get my blizzards for free because it's $5.61 for a small which is a bit pricey. It's a good portion size but I can't imagine that they cost a lot to make. My issue with this DQ isn't the ice cream- it's standard. You get what you expect. This DQ is a recentish build and it's a mess. The parking lot is arranged in an annoying way where the drive through line blocks the entrance on the regular. The line stretches around the building and out into the Weis lot. If you park and go inside, the lobby area is small and you have to stand and wait for your food or ice cream in the same place where people are waiting in line to order. For soft serve ice cream, Dairy Queen makes the most sense. This location has a drive thru which makes getting sweet treats very convenient. Reese Cup Blizzard is usually my go to, and if I am feeling indulgent I will add snickers to it as well. I live the snickerdoodle cookie dough dough blizzard. A mini is usually enough for me. It is a little on the pricey side for a fast food/sweet treat place. read more

Been coming to this location for over a decade & truly never once had an issue nor a complaint regarding products or service....until tonight. I ordered a blizzard made with chocolate ice cream; the person at the drive thru keyed it in properly, but whoever made it didn't read "chocolate SS" SS standing for "soft serve" & made it with vanilla. No big deal, it happens. I go to take it inside & I guess they had just closed their dine-in, but a worker came out anyway & I said "hey this was supposed to be made with chocolate ice cream & it wasn't," she said ok sorry about that, asked which blizzard it was & then came out a few moments later apologizing again & handed me a blizzard that I visibly could see through the lid was still made wrong. They just tried blending in some chocolate to the already vanilla made blizzard. So I go through the drive thru again, ask my blizzard to be made properly the way I ordered it the first time & paid for. And during my wait in line my anxiety became very triggered, not by their initial mistake because hey those happen, but by their entirely lazy & inconsiderate actions of not only refusing to make my order properly but then trying to cover it up with a fake attempt at giving me what I ordered. All because the clock said 9:10 & everyone was ready to go enjoy their Friday night. So when I got to the window, no one even opened it or said hey we're remaking it, nothing, then handed me the blizzard I asked 3 times for. At that juncture i asked for a refund. I told them keep the blizzard, take the lie blizzard, & my boyfriend;who was just as upset as I was by how i was being treated, handed me his partially eaten blizzard & told them to keep that too that i just wanted my money back. All the employees were standing in a huddle listening, looking & discussing the matter. The look of horror on some of their faces when learning I asked for a refund is just embarrassing & you all should be ashamed of yourselves. You don't screw up a customers order & then further escalate the situation by making them a generic version of what they paid a lot of money for. I'm sorry but who do you think you are? Dairy Queen never fails to disappoint. Enjoying a blizzard is an experience that I have fond childhood memories of, and they always taste cool and delicious. The delectable treat is even more special when enjoying it while snowy weather is present. It is currently snowing outside this Dairy Queen as I write this review. My service was great, my blizzard was great, and an employee even acknowledged me as a Yelp reviewer, asking if there was anything I needed to make my experience more special. This encounter has made me realize that what I do is important to our society. Yelping isn't always positive, it isn't always pretty, but it is always rewarding, and that is a fact. The only reason I'm giving this restaurant a 4 star review is because I want them to keep working, and striving for greatness. If I would give them a 5 star review, the staff may slack off and feel like they don't have to keep working hard.
