$30 for a burger and 2 chicken tenders, the homemade chips taste burnt and don't have any flavor and water is 4.50! An absolute crime.

The mac and cheese burger slaps. I ate outside, great foliage and atmosphere. Service was great, the food took a while though...

I asked dad what he wanted for dinner. "Hamburgers". Ok, I'm on it. I opened up my Uber Eats app and looked for hamburger joints with good ratings - that's how we got to Mrbeast Burger. Mrbeast is a unique concept restaurant - it's usually delivery only (though some offer pickup) and is often a "ghost" kitchen - a to-go restaurant inside of another restaurant. I know, confusing, don't worry, not important. The menu is limited to burgers, a couple of chicken tender sandwiches, a lone grilled cheese, crinkle fries and bottled sodas. I ordered two Beast style burgers , one Chandler style burger and fries all around. I scheduled our order ahead of time and had it in my hand right on time. The burgers were fresh and hot. The fries were hot but soggy due to the condensation in the box they were packaged in. The beast burger is two smash patties, ketchup, mayo, brown mustard, raw onion, pickles and cheese. The chandler is pretty basic - two burgers and American cheese. You can add a variety of sauces and toppings for an upcharge. (Ketchup was 30 cents - I pulled the bottle out of the fridge for free). The burgers were large, fresh and juicy, the cheese melted perfectly and the toppings added in just the right amount. They really were delicious. The fries, like I said, were soggy. Maybe different packaging could solve this problem. Either way, three fries were too much for three people. You already know that when you order Uber Eats, you are going to pay a premium when you consider delivery, fees and tip. Ordering delivery directly from the Mrbeast website was actually a little higher still. When everything was done, our dinner was over $50 - quite a lot for a burger and fries. But then, not dragging my 80+ year old parents, with her walker and his cane, out to a restaurant is almost priceless. Dad is pretty savvy with technology, I'm confident he will now start ordering out all of the time. I may have created a beast!

The menu immediately caught my eye with its local flair, and it did not disappoint. They happened to be hosting trivia night, which was such a fun surprise and gave the place great energy. I ordered the chef's special crabcake sandwich, and it was outstanding--perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Easily the highlight of my night and exactly what I needed after a long day. Kelsey and Kristen were absolute standouts--warm, engaging, and incredibly welcoming. Even as someone from out of town, I was treated like a regular, which made the experience even better. Between the food, atmosphere, and people, this will absolutely be a regular stop for me on future work trips. Highly recommend.

There are two of these in the area, we weren't quite sure which one to hit, so we opted for the one closer to our hotel in Hershey. We arrived just as they were opening at 11:00 am for lunch. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender and the server. They were the only two working up front, but it was fine; our entire time there, only one other table came in (this was on a Friday). The inside was nice, and we were seated by a fire. The only gripe I have is that the chairs seemed to be the wrong size/height for the tables. But other than that, the place looked good. My wife ordered a beer flight with an assortment of sours and a wheat. I went for the Annville IPA Bold Cask. It was a really, really good beer. Smooth, fully-bodied, and with a good amount of hops. Plus, it's 9.8%, so if you ask me, that's a great way to start off a lunch! The beer flight was decent, but more my wife's thing. Now onto the food. There were a lot of great choices, and we were starving, so of course, everything looked good. We always order for our six-year-old first so they can eat while we relax. We ordered him the hot dog and tots. For our apps, we ordered the Tator Tot Nachos: house cheese sauce, fresh pico, scallions, jalapenos, cilantro lime sour cream, and chicken. And also the smoked wings with hot sauce. I'm always a fan of tator tots, maybe it's because I never had them as a kid, or they really are that good. But these were perfect on a cold day in central PA when you're hungry. The right amount of salt on the tots, crispy exterior and creamy inside, plus the toppings (I love fresh jalapeño). The wings were okay, but this was to be expected. They're smoked, and as much as I love smoked food, you never get the skin crispy (especially on wings). They had a slight smoke flavor and a good sauce, but I'm a "well done" wing guy, so these I would pass on next time. By the time we were going to order lunch, my wife realized she was already full, and we still had a decent amount of food left. So she just picked at the appetizers. I was getting there myself, but I wanted to try a burger. I ordered the Pub Burger: 8 oz, Cooper Sharp, red pepper-bacon jam, dill pickle aioli, lettuce, brioche, and fries (because who can resist more fried potatoes). It came out perfectly medium rare as I ordered and seasoned well. I was apprehensive about the red pepper-bacon jam; I'm not a fan of sweet, but in this case, it worked. It was a great burger (although I only ate a quarter of it). The service was good, and she was very personable and polite. But one thing that was strange. She was on the phone almost the entire time we were there with whom she said was the owner (or maybe a manager). We heard her discussing the reservations and large parties coming in. This was a long call, and while I know there wasn't a lot going on in the restaurant, we felt at times we needed something, and she was busy talking. I'm not blaming her; if it were the owner or manager, they should certainly know better and keep it short. But when she was there, she was great. All in all, a great recommendation from a friend that we are happy we stopped to try. We will be back again, maybe sooner than our annual trip to Hershey!

I'm going to tell you about the past, as well as what has changed. I wouldn't have given them 5…read morestars a year or two ago. Previously they always undercooked the burger, you would say "well done" and take a bite and it was maybe a "medium well" at best, like still pink. If you said "medium" then it came out like it had barely touched the grill. I reminded my husband of this when we were ordering, and told him to get medium well since he liked medium. I got chicken this time which was cooked perfectly. Sadly his burger came back with no pink. I brought it up to the counter, I explained everything I just told you here, and asked if he could remake the patty. He insisted on remaking the whole thing and said to take the overcooked one home. (Did he know that I actually prefer them this way? lol) He was super nice and made it perfectly to my husbands liking. He even brought it out to us. They offer free french fry refills. I went up and asked for some more fries and the same cook enthusiastically asked me if the burger was better, I said my husband was loving it! The service was great start to finish. The woman at the counter was lovely, the chef/grill guy was so nice. The food was delicious. The soda even tasted good. (I feel like I've had some sub-par diet cokes lately) The ambiance is basically what you would expect from a counter service burger joint. Nothing super fancy, but clean. There are a couple arcade games in the back with a wall chalkboard that I always tell my husband I love him on. There are also some tvs with sports or whatever on...honestly we sit away from those, they aren't distracting if you don't care, but I'm sure if you do care about whatever sport then that might be something you'd enjoy.
