For a McDonalds, this location is nicer than average. I got a fish filet and French fries along with an iced coffee. The filet and fries were freshly made, made correctly and hot. The ice coffee had a bit too much cream but was decent. The ambiance inside was better than average. Service was fast and professional. Bathroom was clean. Every time I go to the drive thru at this location they make me move to the third window or a parking spot. Then I watch multiple people pull through the drive thru behind me, get served and leave. It doesn't matter what I order, they always make us pull forward and wait up to ten to fifteen minutes. Then they aren't even apologetic about the wait. They are rude. The last time I actually saw them stick there head out the window behind me because the had completely forgotten I was there and another customer was pointing at me. I kept going back because it's so close but after they completely forgot me and didn't understand why I would be upset about it, I'm done. It wasn't like that before they renovated. Wow, this is one of the worst McDonald's I've ever visited in CT. The smell when we walked in the door was awful - like raw chicken - not a good ambience when you're trying to eat. If you were traveling with children, I would recommend stopping by this location versus some of the pit stops along I-95. I was directed here recently after a snafu with mobile ordering at one of the Pitstop McDonald's locations. This was the next closest one along my route on I-95, and it happens to be right off the highway. In fact, it was right in front of the off-ramp! I came in, checked in on the mobile app, and presented the order number to the cashier. He quickly got my order ready, and the wait time was very low, less than 2 minutes. Even helped me see their current selection of Happy Meal toys for my kids. On the day that I went, it wasn't incredibly busy, right around 12 noon on a weekend. In the short time I was there, I did get to take a look around and noticed that the counters were very clean, and the tables were regularly wiped down. Play space is substantial, nice and spacious. Any kid would love to run through there, and give their parents a little bit of quiet to enjoy their meal in the meantime. Now, I can't comment on their drive-thru, as I did not use it during this visit. There was, interestingly, parking spots available for drive-thru. I would imagine anybody going through the drive-thru is grabbing their food and leaving. As for the food, well, it's fast food McD's, so the standard is to be expected. This is a review of every McDonald's from Waterbury to Milford in Connecticut. It's about service more than the food. I only get iced caramel coffees. The food is poison but that's a different issue for another day. I drive a lot so I've been to all of the area McDonald's. The only McDonald's that consistently gets it correct is the Thomaston ave one in Waterbury. Anywhere a typical order will be caramel iced coffee light ice and 5+5. That means I don't want a full cup of ice. I don't want one with no sugar or no caramel. I want what I order. I did reach out to complain to McDonald's and their response was generic but they did tell the staff at the location that I mentioned. On my next visit I got a very over the top passive aggressive interaction with the staff calling the boss and then saying " we better get this coffee right or we're gonna hear about it." Long story short I dumped that order and stopped going there. Today I went to another location in Milford and my drink was minus sugar and caramel so I'm done with this trash company. read more

This used to be our favorite McDonalds. We will no longer eat from this establishment. I was there with my two friends and our children who are ALL Autistic. The kids were eating and having a great time together. An older man, who works for McDonalds came to the table and told our children to "keep it down and be quiet because they are disrupting the kitchen from making orders. Now if you live in Milford and ever went to McDonalds, you know who this arrogant much older man is. He likes to tell people that he doesn't need to work but works for fun! Yet no one had fun today. I informed him that they can't be "quiet" that they aren't disturbing anyone. He then informed me that they were disrupting the kitchen. Then I asked him if there was an area they had for disabled people so we could continue our lunch without being silent. He informed me they do not. I stated we will leave so the kitchen can do their job in silence, since the entire McDonalds needed to be silent, or without disabled people. So we left and I told him I can't wait to send in my google and Yelp reviews! It's hard enough having people stare at us, but to embarrass us and make us feel unwanted and to come to our table and tell OUR children to be quiet! Maricela Melendez (sp?) was the manager I dealt with and she should be fired. I can't believe what an insulting and awful useless person you have working for you. I arrived at the driver and pulled up the Deals code on my McDonalds app for a buy one get one free milkshake any size. The code was 70 54. When I gave the person the code before my order, he said the code was invalid and to wait until I get to the window and give it to them when paying, which I did. The cashier said this is an invalid code. She tried is 3-4 times. It's is clearly on my phone and I am showing it to her. She keeps saying there is nothing I can do, so I ask for the manager, hoping they will have the sense to over-ride this error and grant me the free milkshake. Maricela proceeds to argue with me that I have made a mistake and says this is my fault! I explain to her that I am not a dummy and know how to use this app as I've done so several times before. She refuses to help, She said if I was to come into the store and place a normal order that she would be able to help, but this is not a normal order and there's nothing she can do and it has nothing to do with her. I can not believe the level of incompetence and that your staff is so disconnected from what you as a company are doing through your app. Why does your staff feel like they cannot do anything? This is actual the second time this exact same thing happened. The previous time was 1-2 months ago on the drive thru on I-95 in Fairfield, CT. The same error (invalid code) and the same helpless response from the cashier - that this is not them, the app is something totally different and they have nothing to do with it. I want to spread the word wide and far that you as a company are making deceptive claims that this app and "deals" will some how provide us with some benefit. You've already jacked up your priced so high that we need "deals" just to be able to get food for our family and then that even fails. read more

The made a mistake on my order. I brought it back for the counter. Then they me the correct order but it tasted like they poured chemicals on it. I spit it out and left it there. I would. I'm a usual customer, but this morning for whatever reason over 25 years of spending money and knowing mostly everyone on a first name basis... it had to have been by far my worst experience here. The woman at the drive thru literally while I'm explaining my order on how I'd want my hot chocolate reached up and activated the window on me and closed the window In mid convo... literally reached up and hit the switch. Not even mention the lid wasn't on and all the hot chocolate spilled on my son. The lack of customer service, I'm better off driving 5 minutes in the opposite direction... smh read more

Asked for a manager who told me first that the order isn't in the system and then changed her story that someone had already drove through for the order. Manager lied right to my face. I just left. This place is a disaster. I go here almost everyday and everyday it gets worst. The Hispanic employees are always saying not so nice things in their language about people and not realizing some people of other races do speak Spanish. However Tonight I arrived there around 10:46pm and the doors were locked and there was also a man sitting in the dining area that didn't work there. I live in the area so I normally walk over this woman who I later found out named Maria told me to hold on @10:48 and then never came to the door. Finally at 10:54 both managers were standing near the register so i knocked on the door and they opened it. While I'm explaining what had occurred and asking why did they close early this woman Maria says your a liar and proceeded to say multiple inappropriate things including calling me a bitch in Spanish,and what made matters worst is she's doing this in front of her managers. I have encountered her once before this week and this woman needs to be retrained and taught how to speak to customers. Will never go back to this place even if someone pays me. read more

The new McDonald's is terrible compared to the old one. They took a place that was fun , rich in color and life and turned it into this monotonous ,boring , lifeless thing that looks more suitable hold office meetings then to have kids anywhere near the place. I don't know who told McDonald's that they need to look like Star Bucks but they should be fired. As always the new McDonald's is pushing the kiosks. I didn't want to order from one of those and took about 5 minutes to get the attention of one of the couple people that actually work there now. Then they have them deliver the food to you at your table. Such a joke. Their a FAST FOOD place, not a diner!!! McDonald's is getting away from being kid friendly which in my opinion is a miscalculation on there part. If I was a competitor of McDonald's I'd be taking advantage of that. Im surprised they still have the happy meal. Give it some time and before you know it they'll change it to the millennial meal. I was behind some guy this morning that ordered something that apparently was taking more than 10 minutes. The crew SHOULD have asked him to pull forward so the entire line was not held up. I usually don't post about fast food restaurants but I am....for this McDonalds. I'm reviewing it cause of a certain worker there. His name is Joe and he's an overly hard working gentleman. He's always very courteous and makes sure that customers get what they want. A couple days ago we were there and there was three women that were making fun of him cause of his overly nice customer service skills. I wasn't happy about them.....cause this worker was doing over his best.....but they were being nasty bitches!!!! I wonder if this guy Joe was mean and rude......how would they of felt? I'm just glad he didn't hear them.....cause rude people change nice peoples hearts......I've seen it many times. Sooooooo......Joe is why I'm giving this McDonalds 5 stars. Very disgusted!!! Went they drive thru to get a quick meal for my son while at hockey practice and got ripped off!!! Total came to $5.31 l, I gave $10.31 and when lady asked " do you need anything else" I answered " yes my change". She than said you gave me a $5 when I'm positive I gave at $10. I only had two $10dollar bills in my wallet! Manager comes and says you need to wait for me count the drawer, which is ridiculous after waiting already !!!!! He counts and says " yup $187 that what drawer says"...he never counted change or singles! I'm so immensity disappointed in the regard they treated me, and stealing my money! I am positive what I gave and if they left the bill on the register while counting change their wouldn't be this mistake! McDonalds doesn't need my $5 but to my kids that's another meal. They should be ashamed for treating a patron like a criminal when their employee can't count!!!!!! This is why education is so abundantly important!
