This McDonald's location is located in Mililani Gateway and it is near the Longs Drugs. I find this convenient because I shop at Longs often, and it's a short walk. The restaurant inside is somewhat clean, and the food wait time is not that long when going inside. Did a mobile order & got my order thru the Drive-in window. That part worked out fine, but two things to note: 1) I had customized my order by adding two times the tomatoes, but only got one times the order. At least I can get a free sandwich the next time I'm there per their manager on the phone, BUT more importantly... 2). McDonald's needs to step up & work to protect their employees & their customers from possible coronavirus risk. The drive thru windows - cashier & the pickup - none of their employees wear masks or gloves. If the customer doesn't wear a mask either, than both can pass on the virus just by speaking to one another about the food transaction. In addition, at the pickup window, when I ask if a certain item was included in my order, I don't appreciate the person looking in my bag & talking to me at the same time, thereby adding their talking spit onto my food. This used to be the best McDonald's. In the last half year it has really gone downhill. This is 100% the manager's doing. There is always something wrong at this location; no soft drinks available, no breakfast plates so they can't serve breakfast (!), no frozen treats. Always something! The ONLY great thing about this location is the uncle working the drive through, I think his name is Juan. That guy is the most down to earth and hard working braddah, very pleasant! Yes, like most normal people, I do tend to have a craving for McDonald's, other than for breakfast. But let me give you a WARNING!, It's best to ask for your fries with NO SALT! I promise you, the salt on the fries are RIDICULOUS! VERY VERY SALTY! And it has been this way for the past 15+ years that I have been coming here consistently ridiculously salty. But once you get your fries with no salt, everything is perfect. I do come here a lot but mostly for breakfast. As for the workers, they are always so pleasant. The WORST McDonalds in Mililani! We often use the McDonald's app to place our orders and have used it at various locations, but the Mililani Mauka location is the ONLY one where we encounter problems! When we arrive at the restaurant and try to input our curbside stall number, the app will tell us to go inside the restaurant and give the code to get our order, but it doesn't give us the code. This has happened 3 times already and NEVER happens at any other location! Now, I understand that this is probably a problem with the system and how it routes mobile orders and it should be addressed by management or someone in corporate. But the crappy customer service is totally unacceptable! I had to call the restaurant tonight because my husband, who has throat cancer and can't talk, went to pick up his mobile order. He tried to call to let them know there was a problem, but no one could hear him, so he asked me to call for him. I explained the situation to the lady who answered, and her response was that she didn't see his order on her screen, WE must have done something wrong, and there was nothing she could do about it! So, my husband, who struggles to communicate because of his THROAT CANCER, had to go into the restaurant and show proof that he had placed the mobile order AND it was already paid! He told me that the manager scolded the friendly male employee who was trying to help him, gave him attitude while he tried to explain that he had already paid, and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. In a time when any customer that complains called a Karen, we need to remember that sometimes the businesses really are that bad and actually DO deserve the bad review. I came here last week to buy some dinner with my boyfriend. We go through the drive thru and order our usual order, and we get home only to notice they got the ENTIRE order wrong, as if it was someone else's. We drove five minutes back and as soon as we walked into the door they knew who we were. I let it pass because it wasn't a big deal and they weren't busy. Tonight I came around 7:30pm and my boyfriend and I walked in to order since the drive thru was out by the street. We ordered three cheeseburgers, a chicken tender meal and four taro pies. We then waited about 20 minutes to get our order which is already pretty long. While we were waiting the floors and tables were FILTHY. Smashed fries from people stepping on it, straw trash, water/juice everywhere, I'm surprised I didn't slip. The drink station was completely gross, and nothing was being re-stocked. There were no straws, no drink lids, and no ice. When we got out order, they forgot to give me my drink (and straw) which made me wait another five minutes just to get someone's attention. When we got home, I noticed they forgot my sauces for my tenders. We drove back and waited another 10 minutes for someone's attention just to tell them they forgot my sauces. So Monday I went thru the drive thru, it was clean as usual, person who took my order was friendly, as usual this time I had to specify to add bacon and not take away the Canadian bacon lol...I didn't do the review on my visit before this one but I ordered egg mcmuffin add bacon, the visit before this one they took out the Canadian bacon and added regular bacon and I was glad I checked that morning but I'm not holding that against this location, we all humans and we all make mistakes. From the drive thru window the inside of the restaurant appeared to be clean. I'll Definitely visit this location again and not only because I live close by and that its convenient but the staff are always friendly, its fast service as it should be and clean. While drinking my iced coffee at home I nearly choked on a string like material (see picture) I brought the drink back to the restaurant and filled out a incident report. Excellent customer service on Monday, July 22, 2019. After a Toastmasters meeting here, I ordered chicken tenders at 9pm. The cashier and another employee were friendly, respectful, and smiley (two teenagers doing a good job). When it took longer than expected, the cashier said, "Aunty, I'm sorry. The chicken tenders are going to be six more minutes." I appreciated that he kept me informed. When I arrived home with my take out bag, I discovered the crew had kindly included extra tenders and an apple pie. The manager is doing an excellent job empowering the employees to make customer service decisions and function smoothly as a team. The young man and young woman I talked to had good attitudes and communication skills. As a result, I look forward to studying, meeting, or working here again. It was a better, more personal and warm experience than Starbucks, and most unexpected in McDonalds. Good job, Mililani Mauka McDonalds! Good job, parents of these two teens! I was really disappointed with my service. We did a mobile order and parked in stall 4. I entered stall 4 in the app and waited for our order. When the worker came out, instead of looking at the stall number, she proceeded to hand our food to the car next to us. The guy in the car took the bag, looked in the bag, then passed it back to her saying it wasn't his food. She then said "Oh" and came to our car and gave us the food. I told her, "You gave our food to the other car and he touched the bag." She didn't even apologize, and just said she had to go grab our drinks. Had he touched our food, I would have requested brand new food. This is unacceptable, especially in a pandemic. THERE ARE STALL NUMBERS FOR A REASON! We get home and our spicy chicken nuggets are undercooked. It was completely mushy, and lukewarm. I have pictures of the uncooked nugget next to a cooked one, and it's evident that it's severely undercooked. It's bad enough that when we open our chicken nuggets we count to make sure we got the right amount, but now we have to check if it's even cooked? At the time we went, I will admit that they were extremely busy. Although busy, I do think that safety of all should come above all else. read more

This happened 4/15/19 @ 8:51PM. There's two lanes at this drive thru. Both were occupied, so I waited behind the car in the lane on the right. Both cars pulled forward 10 seconds later. So I pull up to get my order taken in the right lane. I hear background noise for about 8 seconds from the speaker box as if someone left their mic on. That's fine, at least I know they're taking orders in this lane. Then 3 cars pull into in the left lane and ALL are helped before any voice comes on the speaker in my lane. I could hear a male worker's voice coming from the speaker in the left lane. Luckily there was no one behind me (in fact, there WAS a car behind me, which pulled out from the right lane and got into the left lane after realizing absolutely nothing was happening in the right lane), so I just backed up and left. I've had bad experiences with this McDonald's before, too. Being straight up ignored in the drive thru isn't really anything new at this location so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Please beware, if you're looking for fast service, friendly staff, and Managers acting like Managers this is not the Location! It's no longer convenient although we live up the road! COMPLETELY NOT WORTH IT! We've been coming here every day for over the past month ordering an Egg White Delight for breakfast through the Mobile App, and not once has Mauka McDonald's ever mentioned to us about a Stamp Card! We found this out through other locations. Yesterday morning we ordered and once again no one asked so my boyfriend called to speak with the Manager who happened to be Ashley, and voiced the concern however, she had a hard time understanding the basic conversation he had to repeat himself again. I took over to speak with her and she said I'll send someone out to you with the cards then hangs up on me. I walked into the store and look at the Manager Ashley confirming she was the one I was on the phone with, she said yes. First off, it's rude to hang up with a Customer without the proper greeting! Secondly, you are the manager why would you send your worker out to us rather than taking the responsibility upon yourself and come to speak with us! Thirdly, why give us so many punch cards but we only have 2 stamped? Fourthly, do not ever talk over me and then turn around and yell at your staff when you have the responsibility to make sure everyone is trained appropriately! Accordingly to USA Today, CEO Steve Easterbrook, McDonald's plans to add much more touch-screen ordering kiosks to thousands of stores nationwide to supplement in-store employees, transforming America's largest fast-food chain.
