We waited in line for over an hour and the food was terrible. I didn't mind the wait, but after getting back to our hotel with our food and finally getting to eat it was so terrible. This is the Only time I've been disappointed by McDonald's. Nuggets and the new chicken sandwiches were cold and not cooked thoroughly. Smoothies were more like slushees. Fries were hard and they totally skimped on mayo and sauce in the chicken sandwich. If you guys are going to make people wait over an hour at least make the wait worth it. Without question, the NICEST McDonald's I've ever been in! Sofas, a fireplace, tons of windows and a weird almost ski-chalet vibe. I really just went in to use their WiFi and to charge my GoPro batteries...and only bought a couple apple pies out of a sense of obligation. The pies were fine; you know how those go. So this is in reference to the mature lady that was working the drive-thru counter on Friday the 18th of October at 12:20 pm. Your social skills as to how to treat a customer needs a major refinement. Stop the childish antics with those that pay your wage. Maybe, just maybe some basic common courtesy instead of dangling two bags of food out of the drive-thru window when I'm paying at the first window. Also, when a customer orders your side salad, include the two tomatoes inside the plastic salad container, rather than two on top of the container. I do not recommend to anyone!!! The trays are dirty, with the remains of someone else's food. French fries are not fresh, it feels like they were cooked yesterday. All tables are dirty, we couldn't find a place to sit. We ordered french fries, they were soft and glue warm, it feels like they just warmed them up in the microwave. Took the FSW 4 attempts to get a simple order (Happy Meal, Quarter Pounder and Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich) ... and he still got it wrong! Dropped in to get the kids fed before horseback riding on a swing through Moab. We should have known when the line of waiting customers was huge, and there was only one fellow taking orders. I repeated my food order four times, and there was still food missing from the order, and it was plated, instead of being ready for take-out, as clearly requested. While we were waiting a crazy amount of time for the food to be prepared, we tried to use the restroom. The Men's was closed for cleaning the entire duration of our wait (20+ mins), and they seemed to be debating closing the Women's at the same time. This McDonald's was pretty disgusting. A lot of smelly tourists and a really really dirty bathroom and store. They had 2 people taking orders - but there was about 10 people waiting for the food and the counter was so crowded with people waiting around to grab the next bag that showed up. On to the food: Asked for extra cheese, no extra cheese. Coke is not mixed properly, getting hints of fruity punch beverage. Coke cup is not wiped when they hand it to you thru the drive thru window, so you can either wipe it yourself, or just have a sticky cup holder thanks to the toothless employee to lazy to wipe it for you that get's more coke on the outside of the cup then on the inside. Yes, it is McDonald's. Therefore there is no surprise of food. But, this is a great advantage you should take when you are on vacation in National Parks. From my dinning experiences in little towns around National Parks in Southern Utah, those non-fast food restaurants are generally way overpriced. DO NOT rely on reviews on Yelp. The food quality are mediocre or even pretty bad sometime. They are not like the food you will get in large cities with the price you paid. So my suggestion is that save your money and choose Subway, burgers or even gas stations. I know you probably don't mind spend 30-40 dollars per person on one meal, but do it when you are in metropolis. Therefore, even this is just a McDonald's and might not even be the best McDonald's you might dine in, I still give it four star for its value. read more

Go to Wendy's. This McDonalds is the worst. The food and service is terrible. I'll give you an example of one of the many complaints I have. I live 30+ minutes away. I found out after arriving home that one of the cheese burgers I ordered was a melted cheese sandwich.... There was no burger on the cheese burger. When the restaurant is the only McDonald's in Moab, I can see why it aims to be mediocre. The sandwiches were extremely dry and the French fries were bland. I ordered a simple lunch of cheeseburgers, hamburgers, a 20 piece chicken nuggets, fries and drinks for my family. When we opened the sandwiches to see how much ketchup and mustard were in the sandwiches, it looked like there was barely a drop. The burgers also tasted very dry, possibly cooked with the least amount of oil, adding to the disappointing taste. The dirty look I received for asking for two extra sweet and sour sauce cups when I only received two containers gave me a bad feeling about the restaurant, but I shrugged it off. I've been to many McDonald's restaurants on road trips where it's been the only one around and have had much better food. So disappointing when Moab is a great place to visit and my children love McDonald's and eat it on a weekly basis. read more

Ok, it's a McDonald's, you know what to expect from the food. What you don't expect is to be waiting in the drive through for half an hour, not getting to the speaker, giving up and going elsewhere. The only reason the drive through line moved at all is because people were ditching their place in line. When we got to the speaker the attendant said "sorry, we have a bus" at which point we bailed too. Didn't want to wait another thirty minutes to be disappointed and hangery. read more

well, it's a mcdonald's alright. at 10:30 it was really slow but there wasn't a single clean table in the dining room. there was actually a teenage girl in short shorts sitting ON one of the tables, gross. so we went to the nice back dining area... the tables were slightly cleaner. then i got my salad. i asked for a southwest salad with no chicken and got a bowl full of gross-looking lettuce. as i asked for a refund (which i never do) my husband and several other customers were in line asking for ketchup, as all the condiments were out. then. my husband realized his burger buns were soaked through with grease, and the burger itself wasn't seasoned. he ate it because he was starving and tired. i was starving as well but was too scared to order anything else. wondering how much these mcdonald's employees are getting paid these days. they obviously don't care, and the corporation makes its money regardless. read more
