Food was mediocre. Overall bad experience that would've been better if the white cashier girl wasn't so stuck-up. Don't know her name, but you'd know who I'm talking about as soon as she started speaking in a very uptight manner with her unenthusiastic monotone voice. Rude customer service. Completely messed up my order. I ordered a medium ICED french vanilla latte.. I received a medium black coffee with creamer. If you could give zero stars, I would. This is the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Every time I've gone through the drive through here it takes at least 15 minutes, if not more to get my food. I'm one person who orders one combo meal and it takes forever. Half the time I want to leave the line and drive away but having worked in fast food before I don't do that to the workers even though they don't exactly deserve that little bit of courtesy. I just went through a few minutes ago and there were two cars in front of me which took 15 minutes and by the time I got to the pay window the girl was too busy talking to her coworker to even take my card for the payment, and when she did take it she took forever to even swipe it and give me the receipt because she was having a conversation with the person beside her. This McDonald's has the self-ordering kiosks. I refuse to use those because I have a special order and want to pay cash. My experience with the stores with the kiosks is the staff might look at you standing at the order counter, but they don't come over to help. The young lady who finally did take my order got it correct, but she exuded apathy. Lots of staff, lots of apathy. I ordered a quarter pounder meal, and there is ZERO CHANCE that burger was made fresh when I ordered like all the commercials claim. None of the other northeast Ohio McDonald's do either, even when they have signs saying they do. This one was dry and chewy, but at least they got the correct condiments. The drink cups are all over by the order kiosks, which is kind of weird. There are no napkin holders anywhere. You get the number of napkins the person behind the counter gives you. The order kiosks have totally changed the atmosphere of McDonald's, and I hope they get rid of them soon. Everyone behind the counter is so relieved to not have to deal with humans, when they have to, they obviously resent it. read more

Horrible service. Over the past ten years the service here has been the worst, they will usually have you pull forward to wait for drive thru orders that are simple. The orders are usually wrong and the staff rotates in/out like a clock. Hardly ever the same faces twice. I have stopped going for the past month out of pure frustration. I visited this location with my grandson. Not only was it slow, it was filthy! I have never seen a McDonald's this dirty! One employee dropped a huge glob of whipped cream on the floor and just left it there! The floors were greasy and full of trash, the tables dirty and the ketsup came complete with masses of fruit flies, GROSS!!!!! Eat at your own risk! Worse service I have ever seen at a McDonald's. Constantly have to pull forward at the drive through to wait for food. My order is messed up virtually every time I go there. I am not going back and would not recommend this place to anyone. They came up with excuses for the mistakes every time and the one time I went in, two employees clocked out in front of me during my fifteen minute wait without even asking if I'd been helped. Consistently worse customer service I have experienced. We live in the area and it is the only McDonald's close by so we have pretty much dealt with incorrect orders every time we go but this last episode was the final straw. I went through the drive thru and ordered a coffee. They didn't completely put the lid on which caused me to spill it all over my leg, coat and seat. The drive Thur attendant didn't ever apologize or give me any napkins until I asked. When I asked for more napkins she left the window and another employee handed them to me. As I was cleaning off she was walking back to the window with a smug smile on her face. I called the manager later and all he did was apologize without any effort more. The playplace picture on this website is NOT the play area at the Montrose McDonalds. Just came here with my kids for something different and it's so tiny they were done exploring in about 3 minutes and were bored. Norton is way better. They also have a kiosk ordering system and it's time consuming and I can imagine very annoying if there were many people waiting. It took 15 minutes to get my food after paying and were literally the only other family here. Never coming back. read more

Took my 3 grandchildren there this morning for their fave breakfast. MickyD's hot cakes with syrup and butter. At the drive through I should have known this was a mistake when I had to repeat and clarify the simple order several times. I mean what could be so hard about 3 orders of hot cakes with syrup and butter?? This simple order wasn't all completed at once so I had to wait for the third order which they forgot to include in the bag. I had paid for three but got 2. Drove the kids up to the park where they wanted to eat but had to go all the way back because there was no syrup in the bag. Went inside to request the 3 "syrups that were not put in the bag with my order" but was told "they are in the bag!" Well that was quite puzzling. I asked what she meant and she said with a roll of her eyes that they are in the bag. Needless to say I actually stood there for a second with my mouth hanging open. I tried to make her understand that I had looked in the bag but there was no syrup. She called the manager over and the manager said "go ahead and giver her ONE but she has to pay for it." I explained that I had already paid but didn't get it. I offered to show her my receipt. She said "yeah, like I said, they are in the bag". This was the most ridiculous exchange I'd ever had with a fast food employee. She and her fellow co workers proceeded to basically call me a liar!! Long story short, these are some very angry, short tempered nasty people working there. Thieves and liars as well.There is a really Wonderfull fast food place across the street where you are treated like someone they are actually happy to wait on. Don't go to this McDonalds. We came in at 5:15am and the lunch menu was still up, coffee wasn't brewed, and we stood there for 15 minutes before anyone said anything to us. Service is never a very wow experience. I always end up missing an item, napkins and silverware included... today it was a hash brown (which upsets me even more since they went up $0.29.) It sucks they're the only ones near by... maybe just cutting out their McDonald's all together wouldn't hurt.
