This McDonald's doesn't deserve 1 star. I placed a mobile order for curbside pick up. After 15 min when the order never came for a cheese burger, medium coke and large fries, I went inside. There was no one at the register. I waited an additional 5 min at this point waiting for someone to come talk to me. By the time the lady acknowledged I was standing there, I showed her my receipt and asked for a refund because at this point I've waited over 20 minutes. The only drawback and it's a major one, is it's awkward location. Getting In/Out from this major and crazy street is a major mess. I'll never go to this location again! Went on 23 December for a quick bite for the kids and they refused to refill the cup that was mostly filled with ice in the first place. When I asked the manager why we could not get a refill they replied with an excuse of "some mandate that doesn't allow them to refill drinks" so when I asked for the sign posted conveying that message to customers they could not find it because it didn't exist! I honestly don't know if this "county mandate" is real, but even in the event that it is, how does it help the county by wasting more plastic cups? I wasn't even offered a water cup. And it's not a factor of money I would have purchased a new drink, however that wasn't even offered as an alternative either! Customer service is lacking from management as their attitudes were very dismissive. I don't know how hard it is or how much it cost to refill a small orange Hi-C, but this was very inconsiderate and unacceptable. This place has always been a hot mess and we rarely eat here, but sometimes our littles will beg for a Happy Meal. 1) No matter what you order, they will 99.9% of the time ask you to pull forward and park 2) The ONLY location I've ever gone to that claims they only have ONE choice for a toy. We pay, we are asked to pull forward, they have the food pick-up window coned off and there were about 4 employees standing around including (I assume a manager who was in plain clothes). One sweet girl tried to hand us a couple bags while we drove past and this "manager" literally screamed at her "Not here! Tell them to pull up all the way and park!" I was completely in shock at the way this employee was spoken to in front of customers. The girl didn't have to tell us, we heard loud and clear. There were at least 6 running food back and forth in the heat, wearing masks to a now overfilled parking area as everyone waited for their food. We waited for almost 20 minutes as they kept forgetting items and at the third time, we were like forget it and just left as we didn't want to wait anymore. Witnessed multiple employees going to incorrect cars with wrong orders, they did it to us twice trying to pass us someone else's order. We understand that times are stressful and there are so many new rules that are constantly changing, but I have no tolerance for treating other's badly! I stop by this McDonald's, Monday through Friday and it's is by far the best in the area. I always order a small mocha frappe and it's perfectly blended. Other McDonald's leave the ice chunky and the flavors off. I've tried Calif Oaks and Madison. Los Alamos is the best. When I order burgers or chicken nuggets they're always good/4*s. I always have to check the bag for sauce or they forget. They have friendly cashiers/staff and I have yet to come across anyone rude while visiting this restaurant in almost two years since I moved here. read more

Terrible service this morning at the drive thru. What should have been a 10 minute transaction turned into almost 25 minutes waiting in line that didn't exist before I got there. Also these double drive thrus suck. If you get someone that's not trained well you will have issues like this morning. When I arrived two cars were ahead of me , one each lane. I pulled into the right lane. Person in next lane pulled forward and a minute or two later person in front of me pulled forward. While I was waiting to have someone in the speaker a car in left lane pulled in and got immediate service. She was using the app and gave her drive thru code which you're instructed to provide at the beginning of the order. A female took her order and this woman breezed ahead. A guy comes on my speaker and asks are you using the mobile app and I said yes, and he said ok I'll be back. Well a truck pulled in and he took his order on the left side, guy pulls forward. Am I next?! Hell no. A car pulled in behind me and thought I was the problem and backed up and pulled into left lane. The guy takes their order! They can't move up much due to the huge truck. Finally he comes back to take my order which I had to repeat several times. Then I ask I have a drive thru code and he says pull ahead and I'll take it at the window. I said it's supposed to be given before you order which I said in the very beginning. I said the other customer gave her number right here and he says just pull up. So with my angle in the lanes I pull up behind the truck. We move forward slowly, everyone paying had an issue and took forever. Truck had a problem took him almost 5 minutes to pay. Finally I get there and window guy repeats a different order for me, and I said no incorrect, then he found it and asked for payment. I said what about my code app , oh he said what's the number and I gave it to him. He says it's already been used. I said how I've been in line for over 20 minutes , and I said it probably expired waiting so long. I said you're supposed to input it at beginning of order like the other lady did. He goes try again so I had to refresh app and give new number and that was acceptable. Again to anyone behind me it's look like I was just a problem. They had no idea what was happening and how long I'd already waited before they got there. Pull ahead after asking for my receipt, and told next staff that he needs help back there and more training. The guy looked at his coworker who agreed but they didn't have anyone else now. I was almost late for work and won't be stopping there anytime soon. Management needs to train employees better and longer and teach them how to process the frigging app as well. read more

My food didn't come out after 15 min so in went back up and told a different worker. People were getting served before me. I finally got my food after 40 min of waiting. We were 2nd from the first vehicle who pulled in then parked in the waiting area. When we arrived at the pick up window, we were also told to park in the waiting area. 13 MINUTES LATER - STILL WAITING... after 2 mistaken order "delivery", a car pulled in next to us then admonished a McDonalds crew, who came in with a bag, saying she's very upset (etcetera). A few minutes later another car pulled in - A MCDONALDS CREW CAME IN TO DELIVER THIS CAR'S ORDER --- WE WERE 5 TO 7 CARS AHEAD OF THESE CUSTOMERS --- WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR ORDER????? We called this crew, asking where's our order and she looked clueless, like a deer in headlights. She just stood there. A few seconds later, another crew showed up with our order, and he asked for our receipt - apparently, this team has been messing up on delivering orders to the right vehicles. So I asked, WHAT TOOK YOU GUYS SO LONG? The crew said, "because you ordered breakfast" ----- A SAUSAGE MCMUFFIN TOOK 13 MINUTES TO COOK?????? Guys - McDonalds have a maximum wait time of 2 Minutes - you had us wait 13 MINUTES! We did not appreciate the crew's response and attitude, too - like ordering the breakfast item is OUR FAULT We left it there - moved on - opened our food and VOILA --- THE BACON SMOKEHOUSE I ordered is AWFUL!!! burnt buns, burnt hamburger meat, no flavor --- I always order this item and never had a single problem with it until now --- I THREW AWAY THIS $8.59 DINNER I could have just bought myself a Subway next door for much less than that waste! Seriously - if you have a new team of crews, can you train them during slack hours and not rush hours - it will avoid getting customers upset (we witnessed a number of them before we got our turn to be upset). Your food quality suffers, not to mention customer service. Keep it up and customers will choose CalOaks or Madison branches instead of Los Alamos. Teach your crews to learn how to apologize, too - cold, brazen and non-caring attitude means they cannot work in customer service. read more

Ordered 2 number 1 meals ,which is the Big Mac meal. Waited almost 30 mins before I asked if I can get an update on my meal. Since my wife and I decided to dine inside (big mistake) it seemed that the drive thru was their priority. After asking for a 3rd time if my order was ready, the young lady told me that they were working on the 2d Big Mac to finish my order. Seriously?!?!?!??!? With so many better options for food and service, it amazes me McDonald's has survived. This location specifically made me leave a review. Service here is typically bad and the rule is that you never argue with someone handling your food especially someone who is young and doesn't have serious bills. Went there last night and, as usual, got cold fries. When I asked for hot fries, I was remanded and told "next time you need to ask when you order". Since when the eff does a customer have to ask for fresh, unstale, more than room temperature food? He hands me hot fries and sarcastically asks "Anything else?".
