I wouldn't say anything about McDonald's because it's just McDonald's. However this McDonald's beats any in Long Island because of the fact it's a mansion. It has a nice atmosphere and it's very clean compared to other McDonald's. The people here are very friendly. If your lucky to go up stairs it's even more beautiful! First of allllllllll this was my FIRST time comming here. So I was guessing since it looked beautiful on the outside then MAYBE just MAYBE the staff would be polite and friendly but I was wrong ... lol so my boyfriend went through the drive thru and we ordered 2 McFlurrys and 1 vanilla cone but I had changed my mind and I wanted a cone instead of a McFlurry so the order would be 1 McFlurry and 2 vanilla cones. So we go to the window and we tell the girl who was charging. Us that we wanted to change the McFlurry for the vanilla cone. MIND YOU that the vanilla cone is only 1$ and the McFlurry is 3$ and some change so I told her to just gave us back the change and she refused too and even called her manager. Her manager and herself said that we HAD to take the McFlurry cause she already made it . Like how stupid does that sound? & then we asked for a refund and her AND her manager denied us. All we wanted was our food and they were so rude and obnoxious for no reason. So if you go in there you better not expect high quality service. read more

Came in for lunch the other day and I got myself two mcdoubles with bacon and no pickles and end up getting charged for the bacon but, it wasn't on it and the pickles was added to when I even reminded them while paying. I've been going here every so often for my work lunch break. As time progressed the service and the fries have gotten "gross." Either you are given your meal with an attitude, or you have to request to have your receipt given to you. As for the fries, each time they are more and more soaked in oil, and you don't always receive a full size of what you had ordered. Eating at this location is a proven nightmare. The lines at the cashier are always long and they don't practice a system for ensuring that whomever was waiting in line the longest will be the next person to order. What I especially can't understand is why I'm always waiting a minimum of 10 minutes AFTER I have placed my order, just to receive cold food. read more

This is a very busy restaurant. That being said the service and food quality is as good as can be expected from a super busy fast food joint. The drive through can be so long as to cause a traffic jam getting in. Management should do something about this (double ordering set up, perhaps); they should have the capital for an upgrade (see above about being busy). This McDonald's is for fancy people. It literally used to be a mansion; they wanted to bulldoze it and build a regular McDonald's, but the town or county declared it to be historic, so they renovated it and turned it into a literal McMansion. I generally avoid chain fast food places, but I went here a lot when I was a kid and always enjoyed the fact that it's, well, a mansion. A few months ago I went here for a coffee (an excuse to go have a look inside without ordering anything too unhealthy), and was impressed that the service was extremely quick- people ahead of me ordering breakfast items got them almost instantly. read more

Other than it's looks which since I've lived here my whole life I've seen it enough and i get that it's a land mark... but anyways. Other then that this place sucks. You better make them repeat your order at least 3 times.... the manager i dealt with can hardly speak english... i ask for dr pepper... she just stares at me like i have five heads. McDonald Lover's -Please let us know how much your McDonald's charges for a small regular hot tea. This location charges a .59 cent step up fee for tea over coffee in a meal deal. Most other McDonald's I've been to - even in Manhattan, charge the same price - $1.00 for a Tea or coffee. AND, it is $1.00 for any size hot tea as you are only paying for the tea bag. Now, this might not seem like a high price to pay but they advertise the meal deal with a coffee or tea and then sneak in the additional charge for the tea. Tea cost from .02 - .64 cents per 12 oz dependent on the quality of tea. I'm not saying this McDonald's is not allowed to make a profit, but please no bait and switch! This is a different type of McDonald's resturant. It's built inside of a large farmhouse or large home which makes it very interesting. Layout is good and you can even sit in the front window sections most of the time. They do kids parties upstairs in a separate section which is great because you don't hear or see the party while its happening read more

EVERY single time I come here, they never fail to completely forget something or mess up my order. Year after year after year, nothing has changed. I never have a good experience here. The person taking my order will even read it back to me, and something is still not correct or missing. I don't know when they'll get their act together. Also, service here is incredibly slow.
