It seemed like they're trying to run some sort of scam; they charged me twice and were being weird about the payment system. Lied about my mobile order not going through and seemed to discourage Apple Pay. On top of that they screwed up the order badly. The drink was wrong, the food was terrible, and an employee was smoking by the drive thru too close to the building entrance which gives me a bad feeling about the food safety practices at this location. read more

This has happened again. Myself and another car in front of me were in the drive through at 10:55. The other car, hoping to order before 11:00pm, was honking to get the servers' attention. When he didn't get a response he drove up to the window. 3 servers were gathered talking to each other by the window ignoring the driver who was waving his hands and still honking just 2 feet away. They even turned their heads and looked at the driver waving, but turned away, ignoring him and continued standing there talking. I was watching in my car to see if they did this to all cars that arrive 5 minutes before closing. This has happened to me many times at this McDonald's and I've written Yelp reviews before, obviously not making a difference to the management. I was an employee at this McDonald's when it first opened in 1970/71. There is no way that servers or management would ignore a customer without speaking to them. They would either say I'm sorry we are closed. Or they would acknowledge that there are five more minutes left to their day and they would serve them as they serve any customer during their approved hours of operation. This is the worst service I've ever had in my life. They were incredibly rude did not listen. Ask me for my order and then ask me to be quiet. They kept cutting me off during my order telling me to pull up to the second window when I hadn't completed. It's like this place is run by children I would never recommend anyone going here ever!!!! One doesn't expect much from a fast food place in general, but this McDonald's is disorganized. Maybe because of higher turnover, but people run around not knowing what task they are supposed to be doing. Plus they are slow and generally people waiting for their orders to be taken. When I spoke with the manager, Hector, about my concern, Hector became rude and right away told me, "I don't want to argue with you". "If you have a complaint, complain to headquarters". We came in to get some ice cream with my daughter after school and twice we found a piece of hair in my daughters ice cream. She went to take a bite of her second ice cream and she said "Mom look" and as you can see in the picture sure enough another hair. The manager Fernando was rude and there was another lady who was not wearing her name tag who said "That's impossible, it's only your ice cream so you must be putting it in there". Looks like customer service is not a priority anymore. Went through the drive thru, had a good experience there. Pick up window was a different story. Driver in front of me didn't pull forward enough to be next to the window. Employee gave me food at an angle, was in a hurry to get me going. Was not asked if i wanted ketchup with my fries like they used to. When i asked for ketchup she looked confused or surprised. Still trying to rush me even though driver in front hadn't left yet. The lady taking my order has no idea how the point system works. I started my order by giving her my 4 digit number that the app gave me. She ask me me if it was a mobile order and I said no. I gave her the number again but she failed to to put it in. If you are going to have a point system to earn rewards then train your workers to understand the system. read more

Service has been improved as in not making mistakes with orders from the drive thru which moves fairly quick. The place is always clean inside and help yourself soft drinks without asking for more refills. If only the coffee is fresher consistently and not sit too long throughout the day, I would give them another star cause McD makes some of the best coffee ever when fresh! read more

This is the only MacDonalds I went into where the counterperson said they did not have the cheese omelette muffin meal -- a standard item that I have bought tons of times -- and she did not even bother to ask another co-worker. For a McDonald's, this place is great! I live right around the corner and go here when I get a craving for fast food. They rarely ever mess up on my order and when I dine inside, I usually get my food by the time I'm done paying, before I even walk away from the counter. It's among the fastest Mickey D's I've been to, and also one of the most accurate. The fries here rock! They are always hot and fresh and taste like McDonald's fries should. The evening/night manager here is nice and very understanding. The few times they have made a mistake on my order, I was immediately offered compensation as well as a sincere apology by the manager. The one thing that keeps me from giving five stars (other than it being fast food) is that the indoor temperature is much too cold, especially in the back dining room. Every time I eat inside I have to wear a sweatshirt and feel like I must gobble my food down before it gets blown cold by the powerful air conditioner. So, I usually just take it home and since I live nearby, it's easier this way. If the manager is reading this - please, please turn down the AC for good! This McDonalds has recently undergone a major facelift and it looks more modern, however, their coffee tastes like brewed paper. No flavor and bitter like coffee. It used to taste like a good $1 Colombian coffee, not like the expensive businesses, but just a good cup of coffee. Worst service ever! My husband asked if he could add a bbq sauce at the pay window and the worker said she'd have to charge him. So he said that was fine and if he could add a drink. She then began to rudely repeat back our order as if we accused her of being wrong. When we explained that we wanted to add it, she pointed us to leave the drive thru. I normally wouldn't even think about riding NOVATO McDonald's. What does McDonald's just need to know about the rest. I often stay at the hotel next-door and I find the staff at this McDonald's be very friendly and accommodating. I noticed that they are constantly cleaning and more helpful when ordering. Natural you're going to get a more satisfying breakfast at sit down or mom and Pop, but McDonald's seems to have fresh food and very consistent quality. This is my favorite McDonald's on Earth. I literally eat here about four times a week at least. Yeah, it's McDonald's. If you don't like their food, don't come here. But if you love $5 20-piece chicken nuggets with habanero sauce like yours truly, this place can't be beat. I find their food is a step above a lot of other McDonald's, probably because they seem to give a shit more than other places. The drive thru is always extremely fast and never once have they messed up my order in the slightest. Expect literally five minutes total wait, maybe double that on a really busy day. The inside is alright. Usually really clean, even the bathrooms. Nothing to complain about. It's not one of those super nice newer McDonald's, but whatever. I prefer 90's McDonald's ambiance anyway. Of course, cuz it's McD's, you'll often encounter loud, whiny little kids or crazy-ass old people (one guy tried to tell me all Taco Bells were closing) but that's not their fault and is to be expected. The staff is what really sets this place apart. Timely, accurate, and always with a smile. When you're waiting in line, they'll always be sure to look you in the eye and say they can help you as soon as they're done with the prior customer. Finally, the drive thru is open 24 hours, which is the cherry on top of this good-ass McD's. Sure, I like McDonald's a lot, but I wouldn't come here as often as I do if it weren't for all the things that set it apart. I've had so many problems here, they always get my order wrong or they forget to put something in my bag. I'm so sorry I live on a low budget but coming here is the easiest for it, but I would much rather eat some garbage on the side of the road then deal with these rude people. I'm also very unhappy that the past few times I've asked for ranch they give me one, but then when I ask for 2 more I'll put out a dollar and they give me 1 and charge me for two, so I basically pay for the free one. Absolutely the worst service that I have ever had at a McDonalds. It literally took 20 mins for 3 sundaes to be made. The manager would rather refill cups than to take my order. I had to repeat my order 6 times as if my order was difficult. No one was in the entire restaurant, yet I wasn't a priority. There was only three employees. Absolutely horrible. The bathroom was disgusting. The entire restaurant was filthy with food everywhere on the floor. The manager had so much crust on his mouth that I didn't even want to eat the food afterwards.
