I really don't think there has been ONE time that they have gotten my order right honestly. I get that they have a high turn over rate so they are constantly training new people but it's McDonald's, if you can't get a regular cheeseburger order correct then maybe you should do better hiring. Absolutely the WORST McDonald's I've ever been to! The wait is ridiculous ALWAYS. There could be 2 cars or 10 and your still going to be waiting in their drive thru forever. Their customer service is also absolutely awful along with the food quality. I waited in the drive thru line for 35mins and didn't even move. So I went and parked and went inside only to continue to wait for even longer. At this point I should of just driven to the other side of base and gotten McDonald's the location by the air station on base. I tried to avoid going and would travel all the way to 22 area to buy from that McDonalds instead. But today I couldn't travel far and decided to give them one more chance. When we got there around 10:30 pm We thought it's been close but Yelp show close until 11:00 pm but The light of drive way and the order screens r all turn off.... Absolutely disgusting. Went in due to a long line the floor was wet and covered with grease. The bathroom had a quarter inch of standing water and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. This is also during covid so it should get much uses but it was deplorable. The food was cold and the food preparation are was even more discussing then the bathroom floor, covered in grease and old food. This McDonald's has always been a hit or miss but as of recently, they are striking out a lot more. I've noticed a bigger influx of teenagers working there and the quality has really gone down hill. I swear, they must never change the frying oil because it ALWAYS tastes old! Every time I've had fries, hash brown, fish fillet or chicken fingers they taste like they've been cooked in old dirty grease! I can tell the oil is bad because the food coloring is always brown! McDonald's fries should be a light golden color not dark BROWN. Gross. I stopped eating here altogether because of the bad flavor from the oil. Also, the drivethru takes forever and you can't even get out of line if you need to because of the drivethru setup. This is one of the most busiest McDonald's I've ever been to. But I want to thank the Camp Pendleton McDonalds location for excellent service, a very clean environment, and quality customer service. The only downside I have is the McDonald's app. Which isn't their fault and corporate should continue to fix bug issues weekly. I wasn't able to make a mobile order because the app wouldn't let me app a new payment method (and Apple Pay wasn't available). But I'm happy to order inside and be greeted by a great staff! read more

Extremely slow service. Somehow ran out of chicken nuggets and we were stuck in the long drive-through just to get things my kids didn't want to eat. Also messed up 2 of our drinks. If I could no star this, I would. I usually never harsh on ratings for fast food businesses but I have had nothing but countless incidents of horrible customer service. Last time I was in the drive-thru employees were messing around, careless that I, a customer, could see them through the window and failed to acknowledge me for 10 minutes until then I was asked what I ordered, just for them to tell me they were out of it. Rude customer service. Lacking communication skills and rude to customer. Kept saying hello into the speaker with no answer. They also often close their store early. They turn off all the outside street lights so that you have to pull into to know whether or not they are open. McDonald's is for sure losing money here. read more

Worst McDonald's ever. Theyare slow and take forever, 90% of the time their is a line. The food is often cold and instead of crisp fries they are often mushy and gross. And they frequently get orders wrong. I went through the drive though for a 20pc Mcnugget and I asked for 2 honey mustard and 1 ranch. When I look in the bag after leaving I find 1 ranch, 1 hot mustard and 2 honey packets!!!!!! They could have told me they were out of honey mustard or just given me another ranch but instead they just slip in 2 things I didn't ask for so I can what? Mix them together and hope that the concoction taste like actually honey mustard??? If I didn't work a night shift on base I would never come here. Absolute garbage service. read more

Takes forever and the food is never fresh. Like there could be 3 cars ahead of you and it will take 40 minutes. And it's not because they're making your food either. Stale, old, cold fries are the norm. The Ice cream machine/smoothie blender are always broken. Prices are way higher than off base. I don't know who the owner is, but it's safe to say they definitely take advantage of service members. People will continue to go here out of convenience and I think they know that, so they don't even try. This review will also be meaningless, because as stated above, it's clear the owners DGAF. This McDonald's is horrible. I know its fast food, but your employees don't need to have an attitude all the time. I was in line at the drive thru for over 15 mins only to get to the speaker to order to be told they were only accepting cash. They could have had someone out side notifying people getting into line, so that they could go inside but unfortunately that would be too much work for them. I then having my heart set on McDonalds for breakfast and not wanting to go to work with no food, order my food to curbside through the app since I had my baby with me and did not want to drag him out of the car to get back in. I then have a girl come out to my car to tell be that the smoothie machine was being cleaned, DURING BREAKFAST RUSH HOUR. She asked if I wanted to switch it with anything else, but being as there is nothing else comparable to switch with i said no. Thinking she would just take it off and bring me my food. Well then the manager comes out, this blonde haired woman with tattoos comes out with an attitude like its my fault they chose to clean a machine during breakfast, high peak hour. She asks me again are you sure there is nothing we can switch it with. I politely told her no ma'am and then she says OK we will refund it and walks away. I'M NOT EVEN GETTING MY FOOD NOW!!!! I at this point had been waiting for 2 breakfast burritos and a hash brown for over 30 minutes, just to be treated like trash, and never even given my food, because I just wanted to not get the smoothie because they couldn't make it.
