I go to different McDonalds often for a crispy Diet Coke while my daughter naps in the car. Yesterday I sat in the curbside pickup spot here for almost 20 minutes for only 2 drinks while I watched the drive though only have 1 or 2 cars go through. When I called, they said they'd look into it...they came outside with my drinks and when I asked why it took so long (trying to understand and give grace), they just snarky replied with "we were busy" and when I said I saw the drive through had been empty, they just repeated the same thing back to me no matter the question I asked. No attempt at repair or explaining or offering compensation, just more rudeness? Also, I use the pull up vs drive through so I can get my drink without my daughter waking up from the drive through sounds. read more

Whoever owns this place needs to pony up and get some staff. I stopped by at 8:00 pm on a Tuesday to get a milkshake. Ordered at the drive through. 35 minutes later, I got my order. The problem? There was ONE GUY doing EVERYTHING -- he took my order, was the cashier, and then ran to the ktichen to make the order for the two cars in front of me. Look, if you don't have enough staff, close for the night or f-ing pay whatever you need to so that orders can be filled in less than half an hour. If you paid $25/hour, you'd have decent people working there all the time. For the cost of 2 Big Mac Meals an hour, you'd have good staff. Stop being so greedy and staff up or close for the night. Every time I come here it takes about 15 minutes to get my order, even when I place it 10 minutes before arriving. Also, three different times they gave me my cheeseburger without meat. I don't understand how that keeps happening. If I had more time during my lunch break to go somewhere else, I would definitely not come back to this McDonald's. read more

honestly, I love McDonald's. It is a great place to eat, it's low budget but one of the problems is I am a mother of three so we're a family of five and we always have order when we order from McDonald's every single time we pull up to the front, which is great understand you're trying to keep the line moving, but whenever you tell us to do that, you always forget at least one or two items in our food. Brother, girlfriend, sister in law, and I wanted to have Panera Bread for lunch so we stopped by here to grab my nephew and niece a happy meal (they weren't feeling Panera that day). The drive thru workers were very friendly and they got us in and out pretty quickly! The order was correct (including my nieces hamburger order that many McDonald's get incorrectly even though we literally just order it plain) so that is big thumbs up from us. Would give zero stars if possible. Specifically asked for a PLAIN iced coffee, as my partner is allergic to their sweeteners. Ordered it on Saturday 3/28. I went to drop it off to her, so she would have coffee this morning. This morning, I get a call that she's having trouble breathing after one gulp of the coffee with what? You guessed it. Sweetener. While I totally appreciate the efforts of our service workers during these unprecedented times, it would be great if the hours went to the deserving workers who are capable of listening to customers, rather than just hearing them. Not the incompetent who threw sweetener in a coffee after explicitly stating multiple times that the coffee was to be unsweetened. So yeah, while this is probably a sign I should be making more things at home, I should be able to get a crappy cup of McDonald's coffee without sweetener. First off, I am not a fan of McD's at all. But I was really bummed when it was closed New Year's Day. I was tired from the night before and just wanted to grab an Egg McMuffin. I have rarely known a McD's to close and rarer yet without any signs posted ANYWHERE! Ridiculous. I felt so bad there were people waiting in the drive through, including myself. A simple LED message on the drive-through screen would have been helpful "Sorry We're Closed New Year's Day" and I would have thought that perfectly acceptable. Okay.. so I'm not picky when it comes to fast food. But I have to give this McDonald's a bad review. 1) I bought a 6 piece sweet and spicy BBQ tenders and got home and found there were 4. I didn't write a review because I let it slide...2) tonight I bought a bacon and egg biscuit, and a sausage and egg McMuffin through the drive thru... I had to wait for it at the reserve place in my car. No big deal. I get the sandwiches and found that both muffin and biscuit were hard and could not even bite through the bread. So I get out of my car and go into the restaurant. Btw, I never do this. Usually I cut my loses and leave since I have a medical condition and getting out of the car isn't something I prefer. I wait for them to make me new sandwiches.... I get back in the car and leave. 3) I find out that the egg in one of the sandwiches was runny and not properly cooked. Needless to say, I won't be going back there again. They need to train their employees better and take pointers from the McDonald's at Tangerine and Thornydale. In the seven years I had been going to that one, I never had one thing go wrong in my order at that one. One week at this 1st and Oracle Rd. Location, three rather big issues. I encourage everyone to go elsewhere for food since they will probably get your order wrong, or not properly prepare it, or something even worse. read more

My daughter was given an under cooked (still pink in some spots) burger, so we returned it to the counter to ask for a new burger. I heard the worker announce that they need a new burger "well done." The new burger was pretty burnt and she refused to eat it. All of the other food received is basically what you can expect from a McDonald's. The restaurant was fairly nice, although the workers never seemed to clean the tables off during the lengthy time we were there (visiting family who were passing through). I go to this McDonalds ALL the time because it is super close. They mess up about 60% of the time (NIGHT SHIFT). Unless the manager is at the window, you can pretty much guarantee you will be missing something or details will be wrong. During the day I haven't had any issues. Tonight's mess up - I ordered a 6 piece mighty kids meal (comes with fries) and apples as my side. I received 4 nuggets (didn't notice till I got home) apples, & a valentines day book for a toy (IT'S NOVEMBER 18). I don't know if McDonalds has done away with Mighty Kids meal boxes, but I received my order in a small brown McDonalds bag. When I peeped inside the bag I noticed there were no fries. I asked for my fries. They were handed to me directly (no bag). These workers are not new. I see the same people over and over at night. They are teenagers and they are friendly. I will continue to come to this McDonalds simply because it's so close & I can catch errors before leaving if I pay attention. read more

Absolute trash. Not only did it take forever to order and get our food (drive thru) the food was mediocre. The burgers we got were good actually, but the fries were unsalted and flavorless, the drinks aren't that good (watery) Does anyone know what a quarter pounder costs? I checked the website and it says a little over 5 dollars for the meal or something like that, they charged 8+ dollars for our quarter pounder meals. Without a doubt the worst McDonalds I have ever frequented. The food is always stale even though we specifically ask for our food to be prepared fresh and we are willing to wait. The filet o fish has had little tarter sauce and the cheese is so cold/stale it it just limp (not melted...congealed). The buns aren't soft. I don't know if they prepare part of it ahead and just throw the fish on or what. We have tried multiple times as it's close to our home and it's just bad. No more!!! read more

My objective rating is 2 stars, but if I took into account that this store is in Oro Valley--which tries so hard to be top shelf in everything--then I would give it 1 star. I've been going to this store for lunch pretty regularly since the day I decided to take my son out to lunch every Tuesday after school (early release); we call it our "father & son date" and we started this tradition about six months ago. At first we came here every week, but many facets of this store's customer service experience started going downhill fast, and every week quickly became every other week...then every third week. I think today was the last straw. The young gentleman who took our order seems to work every Tuesday because he's always attending a register when we stop in. He's very inconsistent; he never has much of a positive attitude when he takes my order, but he certainly shows a great attitude toward other customers! I consider myself a very friendly person, so I'm pretty sure it's not me. (Listen, I don't care if he shows no personality to me, but it wouldn't hurt for him to act kindly to my son every once in a while.) Anyway, enough about him; he's not the reason for the low rating...although his customer service needs some work. The store has just become dirty, and the staff routinely neglects both the condiment station and the trash receptacles. Today the trash had piled up so badly that I was going to take a picture of the receptacles on my way out the door and attach to this post . Unfortunately (or fortunately for them, I guess), a team member got there to empty the station just as we had finished our lunch. I don't think I'll be returning. The store on Tangerine & La Cholla is a bit farther away--and there is the construction to deal with--but it is much cleaner and the staff there seem to care.
