Came to Harvest to celebrate my MILs birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our meal here starting with the friendly staff. We booked a reservation here for 7 not realizing it was just an hour before closing on Sunday. To share, we ordered the chinese chicken salad and charcuterie board. The salad was okay but the charcuterie board was excellent. I loved the crispy bread. For my main, I ordered the Cuban. The portions here are huge. My side of sweet potato fries was easily enough for leftovers along with the Cuban. One thing I really liked here was the ketchup. I couldn't quite place it but it had a little bit of a kick to it. We used to love Harvest, but our last two visits changed our minds. I got a dinner salad that was served with wilted, brown greens. It was inedible. And my husband's surf n turf was served without the lobster. We had to flag down our server to get the lobster. The menu doesn't change, and we've tried most of the items. No need to return in our view. Addendum: The business owner said they don't have surf and turf, but this was a holiday special - it's not on the usual menu. And I didn't visit within 5 minutes, as she irrationally suggested. Both visits were a few months back. Interesting that a business would respond in such a way. read more

I came with a group and we ordered the short rib nachos to share. The pickled red onion on this was unexpected but works surprisingly well. Unfortunately, this was the highlight of the culinary experience side of things. The Sonoran steak salad I ordered as a main was fine but lacked a lot of dressing. The steak on it was cooked well, but because it was not seasoned well or perhaps at all, it tasted like licking a grill. Our server, Max, was 5/5 stars. He was incredibly attentive and quick with any additional requests. Went here for "The Board". The pics looked great. I sat at the bar , since no tables were available for a while. The restaurant was low lighting and booths and tables. The staff was super friendly and the bartender was on top of everything with a great attitude. I had a glass of Chardonnay and The Board with the smoked salmon option instead of the cured meats The cheeses and and smoked salmon were simply fantastic. The Jams and nuts and crustinis were perfect!. Of course I couldn't eat the whole thing, but I did manage to house the salmon and bread. Try the board as a dinner for your next meal. Highly recommend making a reservation for this place. We didn't have one and the only seating was on the patio. There are outdoor heaters, but it was still a bit chilly. Our server, Lexi, was very quick and attentive. Our food was terrific and the best part is that on Mondays and Tuesdays, it's 1/2 bottles of wine all day. The hubby got the one Tuesday special, Braised Lamb Steak ($26.00) and he said it was delicious. I got the Caprese Grilled Cheese ($16.00) with Sweet Potato Fries ($1.00 extra). We have eaten here probably 15 times over say 4 years, and we have never had anything but well prepared, good value, great service. For us it's the most reliably good food restaurant in the entire Oro Valley area. As an example, we had two dishes two nights ago: a truffel mushroom burger and the Quinoa/Tofu dinner. As gluten free folks we requested gluten free bread for the burger and the side bread for the tofu dish. Both were really delicious. Service was exemplary, not obsequious fawning pretentious, genuinely sincere and helpful. Why there are only 3.8 stars here is baffling. read more

I will say, customer service our server was spectacularly. I want to start with that. He is also the bar tender. I ate here a week ago, salad was excellent. It's my usual go to. I ordered the mushroom bacon without bun and my friend did too with truffle fries. The truffle was amazing! I asked to make sure it wasn't bleeding but I didn't want a hockey puck either. I think the hockey puck would have been the correct analogy. We couldn't chew through the meat. Usually the best chef is placed for the weekend. So this is the best foot forward? The place needs a good make over, so run down. Furniture paint over scratches etc. but now food too? It leaves me no reason to come back. It's such a convenient location too for me. I rather keep driving to wild flower. Our server tried everything to make us happy. That man deserves to be in a place where they deserve him! It's a bummer they lost their touch. read more

One word to start: Reservation. We went early on a Thursday around 5 and were greeted with do you have a reservation. As I looked around, with very few people, I said do we need one? I was informed I could sit in the bar area or outside without a reservation. It was a cold evening so we opted for the bar. They have a small couple dollars off drinks happy hour and I was charged the exact same drink amount for my before 6 drink as I was for my after 6 drink. Guys always check your receipt before tapping that card. The food and drink was good. I had the chicken pesto sandwich. It was full of flavor. Service in the bar was great. As we left the restaurant, there were so many tables still open. Perhaps they only bring the waitstaff in based on the reservations? Not sure but the bar seating was just fine. read more

Great place in Oro Valley! This place is small and can get busy on the weekends so it would be a good thing to get reservations. The servers are attentive to the needs of the table and fairly quick at taking orders and getting the food out to you. Like all restaurants when they are busy, they are, well busy, and food can take a little longer getting to you. But they are serving with great attitudes. The outdoor patio is really nice in the nicer weather months. Great views of Push Ridge and nice to be outside. Food is great! My go to is the Cobb sandwich with sweet potato fries. So good! They grill their chicken right, so it's not dry and chewy. The hard boiled eggs and bacon really do complete the sandwich as a whole. And their sweet potato fries are always crispy and flavorful. I've had their burgers, which are also really good and pretty big/filling. The only thing I don't really care for is their "in house" ketchup. Not the biggest fan. Good thing they have "normal" ketchup which I always ask for. All in all, this really is a great place to go. We ordered Harvest for take out for a family dinner and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the food was generally very good - the salad ingredients were fresh, the ranch dressing one of the best I've had, the meat was good quality. Our pulled pork was pretty standard but good and the steak was delicious. The negative side mainly was due to the inaccuracies with our take out order. They forgot some of the dressings for the salads, didn't include meat for one of our Cobb salads and forgot the side for a burger. We'd spot checked a few items but didn't take every item out and didn't realize how much of our food they'd forget. While what we had was good, it was super disappointing to be missing so many details and food we'd paid for. Went for the St. Patrick's Day corned beef dinner. It was amazing! Added some green beer too. Then for dessert I had the blueberry lemon cheesecake and all I can say is DELICIOUS! Only downfall was I made reservation last week and wanted inside. When I got there at 5 they put us outside and said inside was full. Really frustrating to make reservations and not get seating requested and then a fly kept landing on me and my food. Outside was not great for me and my family! Ate here for the first time and even though it's completely on the other side of town, we will definitely be back. Food, service and atmosphere were all great. We had no problem making a reservation and we are very glad we did. Otherwise, I'm not sure we would have gotten a seat. We were pretty hungry after a long day of walking all of the gem shows. We started with the bruschetta, brussels and bread board b/c we couldn't make up our minds. They were all great! The portions are very generous and all 3 were delicious. I had the salmon and my husband had the short rib. Again, very generous portions. I took half of mine to go and had it the next day - I love that they give you decent to go contains and not the styrofoam. For desert we got the triple layer chocolate cake and that was one of the best cakes I think I've ever had - and it's all made in house and absolutely delicious. Again, more than enough to share. Our server was so nice and although she seemed to have a lot of tables, she handled the pressure very well. The entire time we were there, all tables were full. We will definitely be back. read more

Anyone who gives this place less than 4-stars is cray cray! I have been here twice now with my boyfriend and his family and both times we really liked it. This last time though was fantastic. We had an amazing server who was personable and checked in on is often but not too often. She knew the menu super well and was just really good at her job. I ordered the quinoa bowl, which came with possibly the best tofu I have ever had. I asked about the marinade but of course it's a secret. Oh shucks, guess I'll have to go back to Harvest to get it. What? It's been 13 years since my last review of Harvest? Time for an update. Harvest is a staple of the fine dining scene in Oro Valley and the NE area of Tucson. An awesome patio with gorgeous views of the Catalina's, especially at Sunset. Inside seating is welcoming and comfortable with a cute bar area with high tops. We had outdoor reservations this evening. The menu is relatively stable over the years with favorites staying on the menu. A full bar with imaginative mixed drinks, a nice wine selection and locals crafts on tap. A perfect night for outdoor dining. The BH and I shared a bread bowl (still with cherry butter) and sautéed Brussels sprouts with balsamic vinegar. The BH got the salmon entree while your humble servant got the Smoked Salmon Cobb. Both ample portions and tasty! We shared the flourless chocolate for dessert. The desserts are made in house. Yum! Service was efficient and attentive. This is our first time at harvest. My wife and I had a coupon for harvest and we had had a late lunch and wanted something to snack on. We looked at their menu online and saw a few things that we were interested in trying so we live not too far away, so we went down there to visit. We sat on the patio, which had a nice view of the mountains minus the construction of a newly coming coffee shop. We were both greeted by a friendly waitress who brought us water. I got myself iced tea, which I had to say it was very good. We started off with the bread and butter basket, which came with flavored butter and jam. My wife got the French onion soup, which she was very pleased with, and we got the Italian meats and cheese tray to share. This is a big Board of meats like pepperoni, salami, with fruits, nuts, and array of cheeses, and also had a artichoke dip and a Italian butter spread. My sister and I went there after a yoga class on Saturday for brunch and had the best experience. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a cocktail. We also shared the Cobb and Hangover grilled cheeses. They were so tasty-the hangover is oooey goooey with yummy cheese and peppers and the Cobb has the most tender and flavorful grilled chicken/hard boiled egg/avocado combination. We liked the sweet potato fries more than the regular fries. We also got the chipotle and sun dried tomato aiolis to dip our fries in. They were equally delicious. We were there for dinner. I ordered the fish tacos, and my husband ordered the fish and chips. The place was pretty busy. The fish tacos were so overcooked! I took one look at his fish and chips and saw the same thing, way overcooked. I give credit to the manager who saw my face and stopped by to ask if everything was all right she replaced both of our meals. The result was not much better at all. When she checked on us again. She was going to come my husband's mail which we declined to accept that offer. She insisted and then offered 50% off, which we accepted. She was great, but the food was not good at all. What a treat! We are snowbirds and I love to try local restaurants. We were with friends on a spur of the moment trip. Our friend has some dietary issues and generally has a plain cheeseburger. My husband had the short rib tacos and my friend & I split the pulled pork and each had a bowl of French onion soup. It was all delicious! Burger cooked as requested, tacos were delicious, & the pulled pork was juicy on a delicious bun with slaw. The soup was my very favorite! Our waitress was very busy and checked on us often, made sure we got the best price for splitting a meal and is very good at her job! The decor was simple and beautiful. Went to this place for my lunch after a hike in OV. So my experience is based on this one time. I had a Cobb salad with smoked salmon, which was excellent. The dressing was just perfect! I personally hate it when a salad has too much dressing and gets all soggy. So the way their salad was tossed with their dressing was PERFECT. I also have this theory that if a restaurant serves very good salads then the rest of the items are good too I also order their prickly pear mojito "mocktail" and it was good too. Truly saddened by how bad it was . We lived in Oro Valley for a number of years and were in town for a visit. Harvest was our first choice to have dinner on our first night. Even though we made a reservation several weeks before, we arrived at 7 and we're told the only seating available was on the patio. There is some kind of construction going on in the parking lot so my view including a port a potty and a backhoe. We both ordered Brandy Burgers as at one time they were as good a burger as I had ever had. Waited 45 minutes before they arrived Ordered mine medium but it came overcooked and charred on the outside. It was dry and tastless as were the fries. Except for the less than pleasant woman who may have been a manager , the rest of the staff seemed to be high school aged- fine for a pizza parlor but not what you would expect at a supposed fine dining restaurant. Had a really beautiful and relaxed baby shower dinner experience the other day. Heather was our waitress and she was just absolutely on it! Never had to ask for a refill, food came out relatively quick considering we had about 20-25 people there, they had waters and candles set out upon arrival and the vibe was great the whole time.
