Solid spot for a tasty, fancier burger in the Foothills. For the burgers, you choose between a single 8oz patty or 2 4oz patties (smash burger style) - I opted for a single which was huge and had leftovers (I can see why other tables split the burgers between 2 people). I had the Uptown burger which had a nice char - the caramelized onions and uptown sauce made it feel fancier than a standard burger. My husband had the Nashville chicken which was good too and packed a bit of heat. We shared regular and sweet potato fries which were crunchy and not too greasy - we preferred the regular ones. We've been wanting to head over to try Uptown burger because a few family members said it was delicious. We walked in on a Saturday during lunch time and immediately got to pick a seat. The decor was super fun with pics of hamburgers around the space, and the restaurant was clean and inviting. They have a spacious outdoor patio, a bar and various tables for seating. Service was a bit slow for a weekend but, everyone was friendly and helped us decide on a few menu items. They have wine and beer, and also cocktails. I decided to try their Uptown burger, medium rare and we split a sweet potato fries. The burger was rich and delicious. You could tell the meat was high quality because it tasted fresh. I also got protein style (without bun) and everything added was really tasty. My husband tried the French dip and it was really flavorful but, it was so much food he had to take half of it home. Overall, we were happy with our lunch experience and consider this one of the better locally owned burger spots in town. read more

The staff was friendly and helpful. My wife got a red ale to go with her grilled tuna burger, substitute the bun for coleslaw. On our servers recommendation I ordered the lettuce wrapped French dip burger. We split a large fries and it was just the right amount of food where we were satisfied, full but not stuffed. My wife loved the tuna and it was seared well, where it was still raw on the inside. Tbh e French dip was flavorful and I loved the au jus dipping sauce. The burger was pretty good but a touch too salty for my taste, thus the star deduction. Sides are extra. We ordered the sweet potato fries and they were probably the best I've had in a long time. It's an interesting place in upscale strip mall, the parking is ok but could be a problem, I went for a late lunch so it wasn't an issue. It was also interesting to see a bunch of high school kids in there getting burgers after school. The service was fast and efficient. It's also about being realistic about the food. I had the regular burger with a small order of sweet potato fries and it was good. If I was in the neighborhood , I might consider this as an option but not as a destination restaurant for me. I did a google search for dinner and came across Uptown Burger. Reviews rated it high and considering it wasn't too far from the resort, we decided to give it a try. Terrible decision. I ordered 2 kids cheeseburgers and the hot chicken sandwich. The estimated time for waiting was 25 minutes... 45 minutes later the 2 orders in front of me were still waiting themselves. I understand a wait. What upset me is that the restaurant continued taking orders and communicating a 25 minute wait. That is just foul. Not only are customers not able to make an educated decision, but the cooks were getting slammed by the dishonesty. Best thing I received is a refund - even then that will be a wait in itself. If you're trying to get a good burger or similar sandwich in a good amount of time. I recommend driving a few minutes further to Redbird Scratch Kitchen. read more

I dropped in here yesterday morning to get some takeout. I ordered a French dip sandwich, a tuna sandwich, sweet potato fries, and a corn and pesto side. It came to $50 including tax and tip. My friend and I enjoyed the French dip with au jus, the fries and the corn. The tuna sandwich was left over, so I'll have it for dinner tonight. The service is friendly and accommodating, the ambience is very nice, but the food is great. My husband and I split the Cobb salad and the Sonoran burger and loved both. Our friends had the ahi sandwich and the salad with chicken that was requested fried rather than the usual grilled. Our server didn't bat an eye, she just got the orders to us perfectly. My server was just absolutely amazing and I can't say enough about how wonderful she took care of me and handled all my requests. Food came out promptly and looked just like the pictures. I ordered the BLT Avocado burger with provolone instead of American (50 cent upcharge to sub), a side of fries and an iced tea. The sandwich was huge, the lettuce crispy, the tomatoes perfect along with the bacon and provolone too. So, what was wrong? The meat. Absolutely tasteless. I don't know. Lots of folks say the meat is great. Maybe it depends on who mixes it up but mine was tasteless and, after all, I went for the burger. So, no mas. Loved my server though! read more

I did order the Uptown Burger with 2x 4oz patties and would probably go with the single next time. The french fries are very disappointing I can't understand coated fries. Same quality of fries you get at the airport Marriott, I find this a bit lazy. When I've tried expensive ($13+) burgers in the past - I was usually overwhelmed with toppings/accompaniments that just eclipsed the whole flavor/idea of a good burger. If you're dining in, you order by using one of their touch screens. When you choose your burger, the meat temperature options are 'pink in the middle' or 'medium well (two patties),' if you choose the pink option, you can still request a different temperature option for your meat patty under 'special instructions' or add it to the 'instruction' section. There are no bundled/meal options, so if you want fries, you'll have to add them to your burger order. Uptown's burgers are very juicy, so juicy that it will cause the burger bun to fall apart. For my first burger here, I tried their namesake Uptown burger: Caramelized Onion, Boar's Head American Cheese, Hans Jurgen Dill Pickle Chips, Lettuce, Vine Tomato, Uptown Sauce, Brioche Bun. It was super tasty and kind of like a fancy big mac and I mean that in the most complimentary way. My burger here was piled high. I made no substitutions and did not add anything extra. I was very satisfied with my selection. I added an order of fries. The amount I received seemed to be the same size as an order of biggie fries, if that's a good reference for you. These fries were standard cut and salted. They were piping hot, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I'm very happy to have tried Uptown and am now a fan. read more
