Wow, this place has gone downhill over the last year. Dumb kids working the counter, dirty tables, floors, and restrooms, and prices that far exceed inflation or supposedly higher food costs. $17 for two (med/sm) 'concretes' and fries. This young blonde girl couldn't muster up a greeting or thank you even though both were extended to her. She seems absolutely clueless. And, as a veteran, while I expect nothing for my service, it just feels wrong to offer a veteran discount on only one day of the week, especially since Freddy's pictures are plastered all over the store showing his supposed military service. Perhaps that's just a marketing ploy. Either way, I'm done giving this place the chance to improve. Corporate greed has taken over. read more

We wanted a quick burger and stopped in on a late weekend night. The place wasn't busy and we ordered at the counter. Service was ok. Even though there was a self serve soda machine, the employee filled our drinks for us at the drive thru fountain, not sure why and he didn't say anything. The seating was booths or tables with very bright lights. Our order number was screamed and left on the counter. The napkin bins were not stocked. The fry sauce is now in individual packets. I had ordered my burger with fry sauce added but it was not. The placed looked tired and needs an interior update. I liked the burgers, especially the shoestring fries. The burger meat was thin and cooked just right and I like the large slices of pickles on top. It was good, but I'd probably order through drive thru and enjoy the meal at home. read more

I have all these loved going to Freddy's. I'd like their food a lot and I normally get very good customer service. Today was a different story. I had just walked in and was looking up at the menu when a young man came over and turned into a robot. I imagine he was just repeating what he's told to say but at 72 I didn't hear it all. I heard him say if you have ????? you get a free burger and fries. I asked what is that? He said it's a hamburger and fries. I said no, I know what a hamburger and fries is I didn't hear what I have to do to get it. He said you have to have the app to which I said well I'm going to download it. He must not have heard me because he said what can I get you. I explained to him I don't know because I've not had a chance to see the menu. So he said ok I'll come back in a few minutes. Well I began to look at the menu and there are no prices on the meals. I asked the woman now behind the counter where are the prices she replied they are up there. I asked her to show me. She said what is it you want. I told her I don't know until I see the prices. She came over and asked me what I wanted. So I just pointed to the first meal and asked the price. She told me. I then asked the price of the next item. She told me that price. I asked the price of the 3rd and then I said "do you have a menu or anything with the prices of the meals on them? I'm 72 years old and don't hear well I'm going to go eat somewhere where they have prices. You can do better. I will miss Freddy. I would love to give a 5 star rating for your food but the customer service was so bad I just can't. And I went across the parking lot to Hooters. read more

Nobody makes better chocolate custard than Freddy's. During my recent visit to Tucson I noticed they had a Freddy's there. So there was no doubt I was going to stop in there and have my favorite treat. For a nominal additional charge you can upgrade to a sundae and they have numerous different toppings to choose from. My husband and I came here the other day and it was our first time visiting a Freddy's. Our food was pretty good (although my husband's burger was kind of light on the toppings), but I was very upset by the bathroom situation. We ordered our food and sat down and then my husband got up to use the bathroom. There's a code to get in, so he went up to the counter where they distribute food (which is the closest one to the bathroom) and he asked for the code. The woman refused to give it to him and told him he had to wait in line and ask at the register. There were a couple of families at the register and the line didn't clear up for about five minutes. What if it was an emergency? What if my husband had an accident? Do they also do this to little kids who can't control their bathroom urges well? If you're going to have a bathroom code, then any employee should be able to give it to you or it should be printed on the receipt. We saw a few other people ask for the bathroom code from the same person and they received the same treatment, so either this woman is uncooperative or it's store policy. If it's store policy, then it's a terrible policy, and is enough to make me not want to return. read more

The first time I went to Freddy's, I was not impressed with the quality or the taste of the burger I got. After I ate the meal,my stomach did not feel good. The food is delicious, It's always good. Service is pleasant. They can't hear you very well in the drive-through which has resulted in them getting my order incorrect multiple times. consider repeating the order back to the customer to avoid making the wrong order and charging for the incorrect order as well. The ambience is good. The employees are very polite and kind. I have not had a bad experience here with customer service. I would say that the tables could be cleaned. It doesn't look like someone is cleaning them as people are coming and going. Other than that, the food is delicious. It's a really good set up, decorated well, comfortable. Tables were not clean and bathroom had not been cleaned from previous day. Service was good. Helpful in selection custom sundae toppings. Took the drive Thur, were I was not acknowledged of my presents for roughly 45 secs. I went through the drive thru on Sunday, July 24 and it was this visit that prompt me to write this review. The woman working the drive through window made it obvious that she was mocking me. She even looked into my eyes while handing me the bag of burgers with a smirk on her face. She didn't hide her contempt towards me. It made me wonder if she had spit in the food. Two burgers--cost almost $20 this was not a combo just the burgers and it wasn't worth the money. I was not rude to her or any other staff member. This wasn't the first experience with rude behavior from the Freddy's staff. It will be the last since I'm not returning to this restaurant. This should please the rude Freddy's employee that was working the window (I don't know her name since she had on a jacket that covered her name tag). Eh. I thought it would be better. I've been to Freddy's twice now and am not impressed. The menu is pretty small with very little variety. I don't get the popularity. Things I've tried at Freddy's: Spicy chicken sandwich: Dull and boring. Chicago dog: Served on some weird bread-bun thing and sparsely topped with onions, tomato, pickles and peppers. I know it's Freddy's take on it but no poppy seeds? No bright green relish? Don't bother calling it a Chicago dog, Freddy. French fries: Not bad - very thin shoestring fries and nicely fried. Put some of their seasoning salt on them and they're even better. Fry sauce? Not so much but then again I'm not a fan of mayo-based anything. Chili cheese fries: Good stuff right there. Give me some hot sauce though and those babies will be spot on. Onion rings: Meh Cheese curds: More like little mozzarella sticks in bite-sized pieces. I don't know why places serve "cheese curds" when they aren't really. Frozen custard: It's ice cream-ish, it's soft, it's cold, it's flavorful, it's creamy. I say yes. I'm sure I'll be back since my husband and step-daughter seem to enjoy it but it wouldn't be my first....or second....or third choice. We ordered 3 Sundaes and a cone they made them while we waited in line buy the time we got up to the window everything was melted the custards where running down the cone and the sundaes where melted so I paid $26. Tried Freddy's today for the first, and last, time. No fast food restaurant that I personally have visited has ever told me that by placing an order through the app, you'll have to pick it up inside. We just left Freddys on Broadway. We have all ways had a great meal at this location however tonight was a total disaster. The fries were cold and had been sitting for a while I'm sure. My burger was also cold or maybe lukewarm and tasted as if it had been sitting for a while. It had no dressing on the bun. My wife had the patty melt ,the bread had not been buttered was very dry and her fries were also cold I tried to tell the counter person about the meal but she were in denial telling me the fries were always fresh etc. NOT.
