Pulled in on the way to Canada. All of the front employees stood facing the back kitchen, ignoring any customers who came in to place an order. Leaving us to order at a kiosk. I should have read my order more carefully before paying, I did not notice that somehow I ended up with two sausage & biscuit meals also, I did not tap on those. I did order three Egg Mc Muffin's, one without egg! This was the ticket stuck to one of the Egg McMuffin's, opened it - egg inside sandwich. I would have eaten the unordered but paid for sausage biscuit if I cared for a greasy sandwich. I don't frequent Micky D's often, usually when traveling ~ I have to say that this stupidity & the grossest bathrooms I've seen in a while, is the only reason I am reviewing. This is McDonald's in Owego has to poorest service in the area. Many times I tried to make a quick stop on my way home to get something as simple as drink. Sometimes I have been waiting for 5 minutes. I could stop over to Aldi and get a drink faster. What is going on in that restaurant? I get better service at either Apalachin@, Ithaca or Endicott. Tonight I was on my way to work and really needed something to drink. I was coughing on my way to work for 20 minutes. Disappointed doesn't even cover it. so now when I see your restaurant I just give up and either try to make it home or go to the other restaurants. I had family from out of town trying to get a quick bite and they had a 45 minute wait for their food. When they got it the food was cold. You need to do better. read more

This is the worst McD's I've ever been to. I don't blame the employees, there were only two employees for the morning rush. We waited 20 minutes for a simple order and when we went to use the men's room, there were flies flying around and the urinal and toilet were filthy. Even the kitchen area had so much debris all around. The franchise owner needs to figure something out here, because it is not working. read more

Well, I tried it in a small town! McDonald's Owego, that is. Lol. As McDonalds go, this one is nice. There is a sitting sitting area and what looks like a fireplace. We're just rolling thru enroute to Ontario and were looking for a diner. With our stomachs thumping as hard as Dave Grohl on a drums set, we decided to stop here. It's early, and we just made the cutoff b4 breakfast ends. The staff is pleasant, the location is nice, and above all, it is clean. Our food came quickly (we were the only people inside atm), and we got PLASTIC STRAWS! YAY! (Sorry, paper straws suck at sucking!) It was overall a decent experience. We stopped in on Saturday,July 20th on way back from Syracuse some time around 8pm. This McDonald's is filthy! Garbage all over floor inside and drink counter. Garbage at entrance is overflowing as well as Garbage cans inside are overflowing. Tables are filthy. Employees were all behind counter talking and laughing with each other I stead of actually working or keeping place clean. Bathrooms are disgusting! Total health violations I'm sure! Usual McDonald's fare. Staff is very friendly, visited around the end of breakfast, food was hot. I ordered the hotcakes platter. The dining room was nice, it has a "cafe" area where two people had laptops and seemed quite comfortable. The only problem was in the men's room. It had only functional toilet(eternally occupied) and the urinal was overflowing...eww! read more

McDonald's. It's pretty weird getting off the highway, around a couple loops and bridge and then getting to this McD's. Disgustingly dirty! All I ordered was a double cheeseburger n waited about 10 minutes for it. Manager was very unprofessional n rude. Very disappointed!! The girl who took our order couldn't understand what we wanted (value meal), so it cost us more than it should have. My Husband tried to explain it to her, but to no avail! Oh, and what we came in for was chicken tenders, but were told they don't have any. Then after nearly 20 minutes of waiting for our meal, he had to go to the counter to ask for it. Some lame excuse was given. When I got my fish sandwich, it had a 1/3 of a slice of cheese on it...funny, it use to come with a whole slice! Otherwise, the sandwich was hot & tasty. We heard "hello my I help you," so we gave our order. We heard the woman repeat our order back to us "one chocolate sundae and that will be $11." So we drove up to the cashier's window and my wife asked, "how can it be $11? I just ordered a sundae." The checker ignored her and kept taking orders. Finally, the woman took off her mic and very angrily said, I didn't take your order; I took the order of the car next to you. I said, "don't get angry with us, we could hear you and it sounded like you were taking our order; it's not our fault that your sound carrys over." Upon hearing this, the woman angrily said, "You can leave without your sundae!" and slammed the cashier window as hard as she could. It was 2:00 pm on Wed. afternoon 2/15/23. The woman was older, say 40+, had medium brown straight hair that was up, pale white skin and was heavy set. My wife, said I'm not tolerating this and the manager gave her a free chocolate sundae. I called to speak to the manager but she just rambled on about the confusion and did not apologize about her cashier's rudeness, anger issues, or violence behavior. I'm not only a regular customer, that favorites this restaurant, but an employee too. The team is full of great people, always willing to put in effort, no matter how rough their day has been. We work to the best of our abilities to keep both the staff and the guests happy, in a clean and friendly atmosphere. People often underestimate and/or underrate this particular restaurant without realizing how few staff members are typically present and don't take into account the two lanes for drive thru or the times they visit. This is one McDonald's that is rarely ever not busy, they do their best to give you quality food, in an open and welcoming location, and as soon as possible. read more
