It's been awhile since I had McDonalds. So I was driving down AnArbor Rd and figured...sure why not. I went thru the drive thru and the bad experience started with my order. The person that took my order wasn't to pleasant and I had to repeat my order three times. When I got to the window there was a person making a Tik tok video rambling on about some political stuff. I looked at the name and the dudes name was Mike. This individual is very rude and nasty. It looked like he was some manager but this is the slim pickings you get from a place like McDonald's anymore. This is a reminder to me why I didn't like McDonalds and my food was old tasting like it's been on the rack for sometime! This is absolutely the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. The people that work there are so incredibly rude, I can't even put it into words. They slammed the drive-through door window in your face. One girl literally threw my bag of food at me. Literally threw it at me. When I asked for their names, they refused to give it. So when I called the manager, all he did was make excuses. McDonald's food is mediocre at best as I'm sure most people would agree, but put a extra extraordinarily rude experience on top of it is beyond unacceptable. The couple things that are worth eating, like the egg McMuffin, are just not worth how incredibly ridiculous these people are. I will never go to this McDonald's again and I will tell everybody I know what a horrible experience it was. My husband and I decided we wanted to try the new chicken sandwiches, after reading that they were better than Chick-fil-A. We ordered a spicy and a deluxe, and then split the sandwiches so we could try both. Both sandwiches were good. I did like the Deluxe, and would order it again. It had a decent tomato and classic mayo. The breast meat itself was juicy and had a normal texture. The sandwich could have benefitted from a touch more salt. However, comparing it to Chick-fil-A, I didn't like the McDonald's sandwich quite as much. The spicy version was really spicy (at least to my taste), and I would order it again. I'd have to say that it wasn't as good as Popeye's Spicy Chicken sandwich which is just magical. I would consider both sandwiches as a good option if I wanted a chicken sandwich and don't have a Chick-fil-A or Popeye's near me. read more

I'm an extremely patient person but the amount of times I've been told to wait curbside for 10+ minutes for a simple chicken nugget meal is beyond ridiculous. When I came 01/10/23 I had some trouble on the self order machine but was approached by a manager who offered to help shortly before I figured it out on my own. Nice service here, piping hot food too! I ordered the Double Smoky BLT QP with fries and a vernors. I've never had a burger so hot and juicy from McDonalds. Food was fantastic, service was nice, atmosphere was alright the music is kinda Elvis era vibes. Consider this a 2.5 star review. I bring my kids here pretty often for quick, fun dinner. The food is typically pretty consistent but we get cold fries, etc. a few of the managers have gone above and beyond to take care of my kids. Giving ya extra apples, toys, and the like. This is why I tipped up to 3 stars. I usually have to wait at the front counter for a few minutes before being acknowledged. Better than Chick-fil-a!! I really don't expect much going into a McDonald's... the only reason we go is because my little girl wants a Happy Meal. Amazingly enough, I was quite surprised at the service we received at this location. The Manager Ms Lindsay took the time to greet & tease around with my child. She even made sure it was the toy she wanted. While we were eating she went around & checked on everyone dining-in just to make sure they were having a good experience. They definitely go above and beyond. Fast food is fast food... ultimately it's customer service and the experience that makes for a loyal customer base. We will definitely be back! read more

Waited at the register with nobody else in line for over 10 minutes being ignored by every employee until the manager came and took our order. Then they were out of the adult happy meal. In most cases, you wouldn't really sit and think to review a fast food restaurant unless it was a completely horrible experience. Well, I'm going to change it up a bit. I actually am giving praise to this McDonald's. I stop in a couple times a week if that in the morning to grab breakfast before driving to work which is within 5 minutes of this location. They have one of the double drive-thru lanes which can get a little crazy sometimes, but that does not affect the service from those working inside. On every occasion, the people working here are so happy and courteous to the customers. Plus, they are quick, alas 'fast food'. One occasion sticks out more than anything of where they went above and beyond when it came to customer service. I went through on a semi-busy Saturday morning. I noticed on the breakfast menu that the Southern Style Chicken Biscuit was not there anymore. I decided to ask if they still had it. Of course I was told to wait a minute while they found out, but it was less than a minute I had to wait. I pulled up to pay like usual and then went to the window to pick up my food. I was surprised when I was greeted by a manager. She informed me that they will be taking that sandwich off of the menu at most McDonalds. She said luckily they still had some available. She told me it would be about 5 minutes and that I would be getting it made fresh seeing there was none prepped that morning. She also handed me two vouchers for free McCafe drinks because of my wait. I was impressed with this service and with the service I have received there any time I swing on in. The owner at the Ann Arbor, Plymouth rd location seems to keep setting strange "cost-cutting" policies. I've had SO many poor experiences at this location that today I feel the need to finally post. I was told today that it is the owners policy that you are NOT allowed to purchase a tea without ice in it. Not everyone wants super cold, watered down tea. To the point that this location doesn't even let you get your own tea like most others do. It's becoming a little extreme and I'm sick of this location all together. I see so many people each time I've gone there leave, because of a line, or rudeness, or changing more than other locations for the same thing. I think it's mostly the few that have had good experiences here that have written reviews. I was in line here for almost 30 minutes and there was 9 cars ahead of me. All I wanted was two cokes. When I got to the first window to pay I asked to speak to a manager and I guess the older female I was talking to was the manager because she didn't get anyone. Instead she talked down to me when I complained about the wait times. She told me "to stop giving her sass and pay up". This is absolutely unacceptable. Anyone who treats customers and guests with that amount of discourtesy after the giving a legitimate complaint doesn't deserve to be a manager of anything. She could have easily resolved the situation by comping the two cokes. Instead she rudely responded to my complaint and left me hurt. I should have gotten her name but instead I left without the cokes in complete disgust. I hope the McDonalds corporation can do something about the management at this location because they obviously can't handle 9 cars in less than 30 minutes. read more

This by far is my favorite McDonald's in the Westland-Livonia-Plymouth-canton area. Double drive thru line moves super fast. The staff is friendly and courteous. They never mess up a special order. And when you order the iced tea they give you a styrofoam cup (a big one) so the drink stays cold for hours with ice. I have yet to pull away from this McDonald's and not have the person at the delivery window say thanks with a big smile. That's saying a lot. And I, for one, appreciate service with a smile! read more

I'll start by saying the staff has always been very friendly. They've gone out of the way when necessary and have been helpful and receptive to feedback. Thank being said, if you're in a rush and it's between 6am and 9pm, find another fast food franchise. This place's drive thru is snail slow. VERY slow. I ordered through mobile pay a few weeks ago and spent 20 MINUTES in the drive thru line. There are two. Neither moved fast; it was slow, slow, slow. This was not the first time I experienced a slow drive through here, either. It's the closest McDonald's to my house and I have stopped on and off for about a year just for those delicious chicken strips, which of course are great. Each time, I am blown away by how slow it is. It is not fast and if they want to keep business going and retaining customers, they're going to need to speed something up. Maybe they are understaffed? Under machined? Other cost-cutting policies? I'm not sure but from now on, I plan on going to another fast food chain altogether. Maybe I need to see it from another perspective. Maybe one day this summer I'll head over in the morning to check out this "Council of Elders" everyone keeps mentioning. In the meantime, though, I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I've purchased chicken nuggets from here on a few occasions. I never have an issue with them. They taste just as good as they did in my childhood. The service isn't terrible. It's McDonald's, so I don't expect much. But I've never had a grosser burger than the Quarter Pounder Deluxe here. I'm not sure if every one at every location tastes like that... but I couldn't even finish it. It was like wet cardboard mashed between two slices of bread. Like I said, I don't expect much from McDonald's. But I do expect food to be edible. Maybe it was the nasty ketchup slathered all over it that made it taste so bad. Either way... When I go to the one on Canton Center and Michigan Ave. they can handle the order without putting the DRIVE THRU customers in a holding spot outside waiting for something that should not be more than a few seconds more to make.
