If I could give this establishment no stars, I would. Every time I go there, I kick myself for not remembering how awful this place is. I have lived in Prospect for a year now. After a 9-10 hour work day and an hour of traffic, cooking dinner is just not in the cards. As this location is only one of two places that offers a drive through, convenience out weighs customer service. Until tonight. Tonight was my last to spend money at this place. McDonalds in Prospect adds a whole new meaning to the words "fast food". After another 21 minute wait in the drive through (one was 32 minutes once!), and seeing another manager and set of teens that I didn't recognize, I had to ask: why can't this place seem to get it together, get hot food out in a TIMELY manner. So I asked. I won't disclose which employee I talked to so that they won't face retaliation, however all suspicions confirmed. It comes down to ownership. The person I talked to said that they have quit three times but comes back because it's one of only a few jobs available in the area. I really hope that another fast food company catches on and opens something up (anything st this point) along 42. Taco Bell anyone? So as for McDonalds in Prospect? Don't waste your money or 20-30 minutes of your life you'll never get back. read more

This is the worst McDonald's in the nation...and I'm serious. I dread pulling in to the drive thru because I know I will be waiting for an eternity. It takes forever to even get your order taken, then a very long time to get your food. It typically involves "pulling forward" for an extended amount of time. I am not sure where the downfall is, but this McDonald's needs completely new ownership, new management...a complete overhaul. It wasn't always like this, but It's been this bad for a long time now. Expect a solid 15 minutes to get through no matter what time of day. read more

Worst fast food experience you can get. Waited 30 minutes for my food at 1:15 pm on a Sunday. Don't go here unless you enjoy waiting a long time for basic food. Manager was not nice to customers and drive through also backed up. This is why Chikfilet is winning. read more

Unfortunately this is the closest McDonald's to our home and I have 4 children under 10 years of age that love McD's...therefore I am stuck with this place. They are consistent in that 9 out of 10 times they mess up our order. I now have to stay at the window to check every happy meal just so that I don't come home and have a disappointed kid who either got the wrong meal, or got a meal box with nothing in it (yes, that's happened twice), the list goes on and on. When I have called or gone back to rectify the situation the management behaves like total morons. I am very fed up with this place but it seems like nothing will ever change other than renovating the dining area. As for cleanliness - they leave much to be desired. Other McDonald's in Louisville shine compared to this one. This one doesn't even deserve one star. read more

In the drivethru right now. The rudest person ever took my order. He is the manager. I have never had good service here.

This is the most pathetic McDonald's I have ever been to. The drivethru was backed up at 8pm so we went inside. It was almost completely empty and we still waited over 15 minutes for our food. And they screwed up our order of course. We witnessed people coming in and waiting so long to place an order, that they stormed out frustrated. The kitchen area was filthy, with trash and food all over the ground. Higher management needs to get involved. read more

My husband brought home McDonald's egg mcmuffins and sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits. The bread was obviously at least two weeks old. I almost broke my tooth trying to take a bite. I called the McDonald's and spoke with "Barbara", the assistant manager who was so rude. I asked why she allowed her employees to serve stale hard bread. She replied, rudely, she didn't allow it, she was unaware of it. I told her if she is unaware, then she is allowing it. She was more rude, and told me to bring back the food. I began to ask her to make sure no one spits in our food, she went off on me and hung up on me, while I was trying to say that I'd seen documentaries about cooks spitting, and worse on food when customers complained. She hung up on me before I got it out, so my sister took the food back and "Barbara" the assistant mgr. accused me of cussing her. My sister said she sat right beside me and that was a lie!!! This McDonald's is in desperate need of new management. I have come with my family so many times these last five years because we are a busy family on-the-go and there are not a lot of drive-thru options in Prospect! The order IS always messed up. It's actually RARE if they get it right. Nine times out of ten the order is either missing items, wrong altogether or we've had a very long wait-times. The English muffins are curiously hard and stale why?! I'd really like to know. I love an egg Mcmuffin but I can literally break a window with the stale, hard bun. Forget about ordering something complicated.The management is completely inept and they need to retrain their staff. And throw away STALE bread. read more

All thoe I am an avid food blog follower,this is the first time in my life that I have ever wrote a review.But after being forced to deal with the worst service and the worst ability and or effort to keep up to McDonalds "standards"I have ever seen.And that really is an under statement.I have lived in Prospect since they built the McDs. Like most people I know the "food" is crap.But there is something about McDonalds that reminds of good times as a child with my grandparents,parents,friends and so on.But after literally over 50 bad experiences at the Prospect Mds mostly over the pasts 5 years I have to say something.But there are so many things wrong I don't know where to start.so I will just say consistently bad and wrong food orders,the milk shake machine has been "broken" 80% of the time after 5pm for the last 2 years.The ice ream is "out of service"50% of the time after 6pm.And getting an apple pie after 8pm(even thoe they are open till 11pm) is next to impossible for the last couple of years.Anyway I hope the owners do something soon to show they care even the least bit for that store.This one McDonalds has managed to turn me all the way off from McDonalds.(I guess that's a good thing) read more

This McDonalds is amazing! Friendly staff and great food. I will travel from England again to come to this amazing fast food restaurant.
