McDonald's - Burgers Near Me - Prospect, Kentucky

Service, I stood at the counter for over 5 minutes while the MOD or Shift Manager looked at me 3 times as he was bagging the drive through orders. He finally came over and took my order. Barely said hello, didn't ask if I wanted our meal for here or togo? He bagged it togo. At least now I know why he did that. That is because there was not one single table that was clean, wiped down, let alone the floor swept. NOT ONE TABLE! have worked in restaurants for over 30 years. Every type of restaurant concept that exists. Fast food, fast casual, casual dining, fine dining, quick service, upscale dining. This by far was disgusting. If the dining room is this bad... what do you think their kitchen looks like? That is where your food is prepared. I even witnessed the MOD who took my order, wipe his nose with his left hand, grabbed an empty box of fries filled the fries and put them in the bag. Freaking disgusting and a Board of Health violation! I know, "it's a McDonalds what do you expect". I expect good hygiene when handling food . It is common sense. WASH YOUR HANDS! Then the GM came out and only restocked the drink station, which did not need to be stocked. The other manager (the one who took my order and wiped his nose and proceeded to but food in the bag) added new expiration times on the teas. While that is important, so is a clean dining room. They sent someone to straighten the dining room, all he did was straighten chairs and pick up some napkins and a straw wrapper. But left napkins on another table (pictured below). Did not wipe down a single table at all nor did he sweep. Food and crumbs with grease marks from guests dirty hands all over the seats and the back of chairs. Now, I can see why the drive thru is so busy and the dining room is empty. They could care less about speaking to people face to face and keep things CLEAN. What made it even worse was another stale bun. In two years I have only eaten at this location 3 times. Because our previous visits here they always forgot to put onions on the cheeseburgers that are ketchup, cheese and onions only. So I stopped coming. I stopped going to all McDonalds and frankly all fast food restaurants. Today, i wanted a cheat day, so I decided to give the Prospect locarion another chance. By no surprise, again another disappointment. Stale bun once again, onions in the box verses on the sandwich at least I received onions this time. Maybe it was because it was not a regular cheeseburger this time. I sat here for 45 minutes and no one has come out to clean the lobby. One guest even left because he wasn't greeted at the counter. That is ridiculous. I understand this may be due to a "skeleton crew" in between shifts, however, ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR GUESTS! If you can't do that, you are in the wrong industry. These are reasons I don't come to this location let alone any McDonald's for that matter. For a franchised company, some franchises should be revoked of their franchise rights for hosting a dirty restaurant, lack of customer service skills and food quality. Do Better Prospect! You're in a wealthy part of town you should meet the standards out here. But, maybe most people do not care anymore? Their windows had hand prints and finger prints all over them. This is NO EXAGGERATION EITHER, just FACTS. I seriously never leave bad reviews but, when it comes to cleanliness, hygiene and stale food, that is where I draw the line. Had to wait over 45 mins to get my small order, 2 cheeseburgers, a french fry & large drink, even though I placed a mobile order ahead of time. Terrible customer service, terrible service overall in general, I came in multiple times and they refused to give me a refund after keeping me waiting for so long, kept blowing me off and wouldn't get me a manager, employees were incredibly rude. When I finally got the food, they messed up my order and had to remake, making me wait even longer. I understand it's a Friday and they're busy, but the way they treated me and didn't seem to care at all about the customers time being wasted was ridiculous. Allll the employees look absolutely miserable to be there.. and it seemed like a toxic work environment from what I could tell. Definitely don't recommend anyone going here. read more

Not a bad McDonald's... the food is good, and the workers are friendly, but they get the order wrong. A lot.... I avoid getting customized food because they don't change it. More times than I can count, I asked for a plain cheeseburger and got a normal one. If you ask for a fish sandwich with no tartar sauce, you're still gonna get tartar sauce...... I just stick to simple foods like fries or nuggets. But they usually forget to add the sauce in the bag. As long as you make your order as simple as possible you should be good :D read more

I know McDonald's has it's issues... I have experienced them myself. But I must give Tina, the morning manager , and her team a great review. It was my turn to provide breakfast for my Church's men group on Saturday morning. Knowing that I was working late Friday and that I would not have time to get to Kroger and cook for 40 people, I called Tina Friday morning and asked if she could help. I needed to feed 40, so I wanted to order 20 Sausage bIscuits with hash browns and 20 Sausage McMuffins with hash browns and pick it all up at Saturday morning at 7:15 a.m.. When I told her my request, she said that she only had 3 people working that morning and was not sure she could cover such a large order so early in the morning. I told her I completely understand and then she piped up and said they would make it work. And they did! I rolled into the drive through at 7:14 , told them I was there to pick up my order and it was all ready. I pulled up to the window and paid. And I am sure that the people behind be was wondering why so many large bags were being past to my car. The order was 100% correct. The men in my group was very pleased with their breakfast. Everything tasted great. Thank you Tina and your team, you made me very popular, even if was for a few minutes on Saturday morning. read more

The food is the same as it is anywhere. We all know what we're getting at McDonalds. But the service at this location is just awful. It's pretty standard to be left in the drive thru kiosk for more than five minutes waiting to give an order. Even if your order is taken quickly, service is so slow at the windows that lines frequently wrap around the building. Once you do finally get your food, expect that something will be left out. Straws are the worst. Ever try drinking a large Coke in those thin plastic cups without a straw? I don't recommend it. Sometimes you just need a drive thru that's close to home. Sadly this is mine. The good thing about this one is that they have nice people working here and that they get my order correct and never have a problem giving me a couple packets of their awesome salt dust! (yes it is salt dust because it is the perfect salt - it is dust not crystals so it sticks to your food and you get just the right amount of salt on your food without being too much or too little. I have no idea of what has happened to this McDonalds but it is one of the worst I've frequented. Most of the time, the milkshake machine is broken, it's impossible to get apple pies after 8pm, and the rest of the food is hit and miss. It seems that the best time to get a fresh burger is right when lunch starts, which is unfortunately an extremely busy time and I don't always have time to sit in line to wait. Every time I order a double cheeseburger and it's 2pm or later, the burger is dry and the cheese is never melted. Clearly, the burger itself isn't hot and fresh if the cheese doesn't melt even the smallest bit. The fries are usually either way too crispy/crunchy or they're not all the way cooked. I know the fries are cooked on a timer but if they're cooked all the way through then how are they coming out chewy? As far as customer service goes, I've only had an issue every now and then in regards to rude behavior- recently, there was someone chatting on their phone in the window where orders are paid for. Not really something I would expect to see, to be honest. But most of them are friendly and pleasant to interact with. Just please fix the food quality! read more

I drive for UberEats, PostMates, and DoorDash. This is my least favorite place to deliver from. They are consistently slow and unprofessional. Today when stopping in there for a sweet tea for myself, I saw one of the workers lick/suck some kind of food off her finger and then continue to prepare orders WITHOUT washing her hands or putting on gloves. That's repulsive. The workers here need training in basic food safety and professionalism. If you're going to be gross, do it on your own time--NOT while you're serving food. read more

Yup this Mickey Dees ;) it is as good as it gets. Our service was great, very prompt, and our order hot. When we walked in the line was long, but it quickly went down as the cashier was fast and efficient. The place is clean and looks to be very well managed. This McDonald's is located in the Kroger shopping center so it's super convenient when you are so beat from shopping you're too tuckered out to go home and prepare your own meal. Plus, when the grandson wants the occasional happy meal treat a Nanna and Poppa absolutely must deliver. I will definitely make this our McDonald when in town. read more

This is seriously the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. I've been coming here for years only because it is the nearest place from where we visit on the weekends. I have never had anyone say thank you or you're welcome. They never look busy in the Drive-Thru yet you sit in the Drive-Thru forever and then they don't have great quality of food. I got two Happy Meals and they barely put any fries in there and I had to go in. I never complain but I think they definitely need new workers or managers. read more

Nice clean McDonalds perfect for a stop to or from Henry's Ark. They have TVs on while you wait for your little one to eat her burgers and fries. It isnt very large but perfect for a quick stop to refuel the one crying in the back seat. They have a redbox inside which we needed to drop off a DVD as well. read more

I've always gotten my order correct and it's been well made. I get food here a couple times a week. There was one time when the fries were terrible, not fresh, but most of the time it's good. Took me about 5 minutes tonight to order 2 regular double cheeseburgers and 4 double cheeseburgers with ketchup only. The poor sap trying to take my order could not comprehend what I was ordering. Decided to give this McDonald's another try since it is conveniently located. My family and i went inside to eat. They tried to charge me extra for milk with my son's happy meal. When I questioned it i was told that it is a premium upcharge so I just got him a soft drink. Our total came to $14.37. I gave the guy a $20 and he gave me back $16.62. When he handed me the change, I told him that I have him a twenty and he looked confused. So I handed him the extra $11. He was still confused so he got a manager. When I told her how much our food was and that he gave me an extra $11, she didn't trust that I was giving back the right amount. They are lucky I'm honest. (I should have told her they actually still owed me a penny). When our food came we were missing a sandwich. The manager was actually quick to give it to me. I asked for my receipt and was told that the printer was jammed so they didn't have one. Who knows what I was actually charged for. My son's happy meal was missing the apple slices. At this point it wasn't worth going back to the counter. And the place was still filthy. I took a pic of the coke machine. I had hoped that after the remodel that they would get a whole new crew of workers, as service here has always been the worst I've ever seen. Today after remodel was done, we went to try it out again for breakfast. After repeating order at least a minimum of 10 times, they still messed a simple order up. Then I was told I didn't order it right! When everyone around me heard that I did. The manager then came to register and apologized saying the cashier was 'very very' new. I visited this location for the third and final time today. I ordered a happy meal, two burgers and a shake. It took 25 minutes to get my food and when I got it, everything was cold. To top it off, they couldn't give me my shake because they had just turned the machine on and I was told it wouldn't be ready for twenty minutes. Why didn't they turn the machine on when I first ordered my shake? I did get a refund for my shake, but I will never return. BUT I will drive past it if I see more than 2 cars in the drive thru in the mornings because I know it will be at least a 20 minute or more wait. The staffing for the morning hours around 7:00 is hit or miss, mostly miss. Today was a final straw, I ordered 2 Egg McMuffins, dropped one off to my husband at work and had the other one for myself.
