Article for #1 CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE in the US!
    Sheri B.

OMG! This was a spur of the moment stop and so glad we made it. It was almost closing time but snuck in to grab a treat...or two. Either way, what a great decision. The chocolate chip cookie was amazing as well as the "derby" bar cookie! Have some peanut butter cream pie cookies to take home as well and they are so tasty. The "derby" was so soft and creamy but thoroughly cooked and wished I had bought more!!! The counter persons were friendly and helpful! There was ample seating is you wanted to enjoy your treats at the location and it was cozy and quiet. Also available were coffees and various drinks to go with your treats.

    Love it!!!!!+

One of the only local small-town coffee shops in Prospect. The inside is a vibe with the jukebox ~ you can't be in a bad mood here. Things you should know: I. PARKING There's a free private parking lot out front ~ easy. II. SERVICE No complaints III. QUALITY Really enjoyed how dense and acidic the coffee is. All their syrups are house-made. I hope one day they incorporate a guiltless sugar free option to their selection. IV. CAPACITY Fair amount of people with plenty of available seating for a Friday morning.

If you are looking for the best Mexican Hot Chocolate then Please & Thank You is the place for you! And let's not forget their chocolate chip cookies...yum! This was my first time visiting this location and I have to say, it is now my favorite! It is very cozy, there is indoor an outdoor seating and feels very spacious. There is free parking which is always a plus and service was good. I will definitely come back!

Stopped in here for a caffeine kick and a sugar did for my nieces. Nice space to work if needed. Counter service lots of drink and treat options. And did you know you can buy the cookie batter to make your own cookies at home. I'll have to buy the cookie dough next time. Great service and space.

So glad this place opened up! It's the closest P&TY to me. It's also still open even though COVID-19! Parking is easy to find. I had a little trouble finding it since it's in a strip off of 42. It's just past Kroger and Gustavo's. You couldn't walk in, but they had a table set up at the doorway where you can order. Had to get cookies and matcha with oat. Fantastic! The staff here is always super nice!

Very cool place with amazing sweets. I got the brownie and it was by far the best brownie I have ever had! I was slightly skeptical about the rosemary lemonade but was instantly impressed when I tasted it. It was very good! The decor inside was really fun too. I especially enjoyed the juke box. Will definitely come back with friends!

Loved this spot! Came here at the recommendation of family living in the area - couldn't have been happier to have a quick moment to ourselves. Staff was super friendly, atmosphere was fantastic, and the drinks/treats are worth coming back for. Hope to visit again soon!

I love their lattes and as soon as I walk up to the counter I see the derby bar and can't resist and I don't even have a huge sweet tooth. The quiche is on point also. I love the cozy feel of the interior with the fire, music and jukebox. Nice addiction to Prospect.

I love Please and Thank You! Prior to this location opening, the closest one to me was on Frankfort Ave. I was very excited about this new location, because not only is it closer to me, but it also has plenty of parking. It's located in a shopping plaza, so you don't have to worry about finding street parking. Please and Thank You has such a cozy, warm vibe to it. The environment is very chill, there's music playing, it's not awkwardly quiet but it's also not overly loud. It's a great place to grab coffee with friends or to get some work done on your own. They also have a nice outdoor patio. The employees are always so kind and helpful. I love coffee, but my favorite drink to get here is the Mexican hot chocolate. It's delicious! And you can't come to Please and Thank You without getting one of their famous chocolate chip cookies. It's everything you could ask for in a cookie. Cooked perfectly, slight crisp around the edges but soft and gooey inside, and chunks of melty chocolate. I'm so glad this new location opened and I will coming here often!

What a wonderfully inviting coffee shop/cafe that is located in the Clifton neighborhood just off…read morethe Mellwood Avenue exit on I-64. I came for the coffee, but oh that display of homemade bakery items had me drooling! I had the Turkish Coffee which was a complete experience. The barista talked me through the process of making the coffee, as he was rolling the small, long-handled coffee pot in warm sand, to ensure even heat distribution and to create a foam. The coffee was served in traditional fashion using gorgeous serviceware that consisted of a long-stemmed coffee pot, a small demitasse-type cup, a covered dish with a small sweet item (in my case a small cookie), and water for cleansing the palate. I was worried that the coffee would be too strong for my taste, but it was not strong at all and had a much different taste than espresso. It was deliciously full-bodied and satisfying. The cafe was spotlessly clean with a warm and relaxing vibe with many tables. I especially enjoyed the wall of famous people and events from Middle Eastern countries. Ample street-side parking is available on area streets.

First: the Turkish coffee. This was served traditionally (as best I can tell), in beautiful servingware with a coffee pot, small mug and cup of water to drink to cleanse the palate. My friend's tea was served in a tea press which I liked as well. Cafe Shiraz also boasted a well stocked case of pastries. I enjoyed a pastry stuffed with chorizo. Cafe Shiraz had many indoor tables. It was a perfect place to chat. Such a great coffee spot all the way around.

It's the Little Yellow House that is so quaint. The Owner is Susan Woodward, and she is such a hard worker! Donna, our Server was fantastic! She answered every question, knew everything about every sandwich, every soup and every dessert. She had the fastest assistants that brought us our drinks and kept our glasses filled and delivered our food. Their menu is very well laid out and full of the most amazing lunches. I didn't need to go past the Hot Brown! My husband and I both ordered Hot Browns. This is our very favorite item! It was delicious. There was a lot of tender turkey, covered with the best tasting Mornay Sauce and topped with beautiful tomatoes. I'm sorry there wasn't enough room to get up and take pictures of everyone's food. I did get a picture of our Hot Brown and our friend's Meatloaf and Chili. You'll just need to stop by and have hunch with them. And don't forget to check out their desserts. They have cake slices, pie slices, strawberry rolls and Cheesecake. Since it was 3/14, Pi Day, their Key Lime Pies were very popular. I posted the 4 pages of the menu for you to look over.

The amount of variety on the menu was pretty nice, looks like there's something here for most people. I had the Cobb Salad and was happy with the amount of colorful vegetables and toppings on my plate. It comes with mixed greens (glad to see more salads with mixed greens instead of romaine), roasted chicken, nice crispy bacon, a hardboiled egg, blue cheese, black olives, tomato, avocado and a good amount of dressing. It tastes very fresh and is a decent portion size, but in terms of flavor there wasn't much going on. It tastes like "greens" and that's kinda it. I don't know what the cause is, like it's seasoned but I just didn't get much flavor. Perhaps my pallet prefers stronger flavors over lighter ones, so take this with a grain of salt (figuratively, or maybe literally). If you're in the area, check em out.
