MY STORY I've used to come here quite often during my middle school years when my mom was on a craze to use almost every single McDonald's coupon she'd received in the mail. I have given this restaurant NO stars! The site unfortunately won't let me do that. For many years, while living in VT and traveling, I have actually enjoyed the salads when needing a quick meal. Ok, they aren't great, but they will more than do it in a pinch. This McDonalds is filthy and the service is awful. The "help" really don't seem to care whether they get your order right. Even by the low standards with which I judge McDonald's, this one amazes me. In the nine years I've lived here, they have yet to get my order correct. We're not talking about making changes here. We're talking about small cheeseburger, mustard only, unsweetened iced tea. The only time I go here is when I'm in a hurry and have to eat and drive (call the sheriff, she's multi-tasking behind the wheel!). My only other choice in town is Taco Bell - no way! I go to this McDonalds because it is one of the only fat food places in town. Over the last 6 months it has steadily gone downhill. 3/4 of the time they have you pull forward and wait in their little spaces. Lately the problem is that they're burgers don't seem to be cooked 100%. When I called to tell someone I was left sitting on the phone for ten mins. The new remodel is nice but I'm bummed they didnt put in a playground which I think would have benefited them a lot here in Purcellville but oh well. Otherwise it's a McDonalds not much else to say, they do there job and I've had no problems there so far. Employees do not know elementary school math I payed for 7 large cups (I was with friends from drumline we were all pitching in) which cost $7.77 and all I had was a $100. I payed with my $100 and lady behind the register gives me like $42.23 which is $50 less than I needed. So she gives me another $40 and I walk away until I realize I still was missing another $10. So I go up there and tell them I need another $10 and instead of giving it to me right there for whatever fucking reason she decides to get the manager which takes the money out to the back of the building and I only get my $10 a good 10 minutes later than I should have in the first place while all my friends get to actually eat and chat while I'm at the counter in front of a woman who cannot use basic elementary school math to count to 92 and neither her or the manager shows any remorse or any sorrow or apologetic emotion towards me. They both looked like they were done with their shit lmao but I mean at least the food wasn't bad because 80% it's pretty good and the quality you expect but the other 20% of the time it's really chewy and ugh but that didn't happen this time out of pure chance but like fr do they have to be able to teach their employees how to count to 92? I know they usually don't have people pay with $100s but like come on I shouldn't wait 10 minutes to get my change! Also one of the employees who appears to be on the autism spectrum or has a form of downs syndrome once went up and kinda harassed one of my drumline friends a couple months ago and like last week I shit you not proposed to a friend of a friend with a french fry and hugged one of my friends and almost sprayed his window cleaner on their fries like what the actual fuck I understand his brain processes things differently and he can have some challenges with things others don't but nobody should have to worry about that happening to them which it often does. Unless it's sunday; then just go Taco Bell/KFC or someone but their service is less than exceptional quite often, once I ordered a power bowl and I got no spork; I had to stop by Chick-Fil-A just to get a plastic fork. But In the time it takes to get all of your food/change/decent service at McDonald's you could go out and get a drink, see a movie, play a full 18 holes of golf, discover fire, find the fountain of youth, discover the new world, watch The Godfather trilogy, split the atom, colonize Mars, earn your driver's license and circumnavigate the globe on foot. read more

First of all the service was awful. It took so long to get our food through the drive through. And the lady that served us was very quiet and we had to ask her to speak up about 5 times. They made us go to the second window and gave us a water bottle when we ordered a large water. Then we asked her for the large water we ordered and she said no, flipped us off and walked away. I visited this McDonald's location curious about the recent renovation. It was quite nice, and I was pleasantly surprised. The place was clean, and there were two employees tidying up the entire time I was there eating with my young son. The young man at the counter offered my son a balloon, which absolutely delighted him, and there were free disposable toddler bibs on the highchairs. Employees bring your order to your table, which is nice, especially when you're herding a child or two. I will definitely visit again. read more

Ripped up seats, tarps covering broken booths, dirty tables and floors and most of the time I can't order what I want because, "masheenbroke" (machine is broken). I was in here on Sunday or Monday night. There was a huge line in the drivethru so I decided to go in. There were 3 people ahead of me. The lady at the register hadn't even ordered yet. She made a comment about how she's been waiting, The cashier yells at her saying "I wanna leave too." I'm not sure if they knew each other. After she ordered, she then made a comment saying no pickles, he turns to her and goes "WHAT?! What do you want now?!" She didn't once raise her voice. We asked the people in front of us how long they'd been waiting to order. It was going on 20 minutes. After that we walked out. I didn't want to order food from someone so angry. I went in this evening just to get 2 spicy chicken sandwiches, 2 small fries, 2 pies and 2 drinks.....Well, I only got 1 sandwich and they refused to give me a 2nd sandwich even though my receipt clearly stated I had paid for 2 sandwiches. I gave the bag back to them so they could see that there was only 1 sandwich in the bag. They refused to look in the bag to confirm, and they refused to give me my 2nd sandwich, so I asked for a refund and went to Chick Fil-A and my order was promptly taken and I received the correct contents. For the life of me I do not know how this McDonald's can screw up the simplest of orders. Usually I am missing something from most visits. Tonight was just the worst example of customer service where I actually paid for something, checked the contents of the bag, saw there was something missing, brought it to their attention, and they refused to give me what I had paid for. This is the worst McDonalds location I have ever been to and it has been this way for years. Drive through orders are always incorrect. Fries are consistently cold and are never filled to the top. Managers are unprofessional and inadequately trained and most of the staff do not speak English which makes issue resolution a real challenge. I have never been a huge fan of McDonalds food. It has always been nothing more than a good thing to grab in a pinch. Of course, this was until I went to this McDonalds on Maple Avenue. This is where I was served by the man who has to be my favorite food service employee of all time. VINCENT. This man is an absolute god-send. He took his job seriously while still being extremely kind AND couteous throughout my visit. VINCENT is a star employee and a fantastic role model not only for his fellow McDonalds employees but for all who have the absolute pleasure of meeting him. VINCENT undoubtedly MADE my dining experience. I cannot recommend this man highly enough for a raise. He is everything an employee should be. Thank you VINCENT for making my day.
