Store seems to be pretty clean but service is not the best. Today my husband and I waited 20 minutes after ordering and paying at the kiosk before finally asking where our order was. They had already served others who ordered after us so ours appeared to have been lost. They at least did appear to know what the order was. We had also visited on 5/5/26 at 10:50 pm and the doors were locked even though they show on the door they close at 11:00. If there were an option for 0 stars, I would've selected that. Halfway through a long road trip home from vacation, my kids woke up and were hungry for a late dinner. We saw there was a McDonald's off this exit and decided to stop here. We walked up to the door and saw all were locked. A single diner was eating his meal inside, while an employee was sweeping the floor. I asked through the window "are you open?," to which he nodded yes and indicated they were and they were just cleaning. The posted dining room hours were until 11 PM (it was 8 PM) but nothing indicated they were closed. We waited outside several more minutes with cranky, hungry kids, and after the single diner left, another worker proceeded to put the chairs on the tables to begin mopping. I tried asking "will this take long?" through the glass but he wouldn't even look up to me, and proceeded to take his time mopping the floor while scrolling on his phone. We decided even if they did open (we didn't expect them to the rest of night), the service would be horrible, so we headed to a different McDonald's in Glastonbury. As we were leaving, we saw an exceptionally long drive through line, indicating even though that the drive through was open, the service was incredibly slow. I don't expect 5-star service at a fast food restaurant, but I expect some semblance of customer service, and this location has none. Avoid this one at all costs - even if the doors are open, the service will surely be horrible, and the rest of the reviews seem to agree with that. read more

Not a bad location - this is located right by several hotels, so great if you want a fast bite. The employees were also very friendly considering the volume of customers. The downside - the drive thru took forever. I'm not sure why, it never really picked up so I don't think it was fries. The burger patties were also very tough. read more

I don't like leaving poor reviews because these businesses provide income to individuals BUT we've attempted their drive thru a few times each week for the last month or so. Wow. Slowest line I've ever been except for the one time there wasn't anyone. The staff took our order and in the 2 seconds it took to drive to the first window, she was sitting on her phone. Did she not remember we were coming? Eh. McDonalds isn't hard to find around these parts so we will be going to another location next time. When I walk inside the McDonald's far away from me I was greeted by a little kid saying "hi" and constant screaming at me. I did not know this kid at all. The workers did not do anything to control the situation and the whole place smelled like cat piss. I do not know if this was the kid or the place itself but I am very concerned for the wellness of this place. I also went into the bathroom and there was feces on the floor, no to mention that the manager was a complete jerk (the guy with the glasses that looks like his eyes are bulging out of his head). My time here at this McDonald's In Rocky Hill, Hartford, CT was brief. Mixed in with rowdy after school kids was basically a flash back from my own childhood. Truth be told that I was here on a Friday afternoon in May 2022 around 3:30pm so that I can wait for the Indian restaurant a block away to open for dinner service. I was here for about 1.5 hours, had a late lunch here, and while killing time. The service at McDonald's is always fast, typical, and usually friendly although friendly can be a loose term these days. With that said, the McDonald's experience is usually a good thing, especially with reasonable prices and a place to hang out without being chased out unless you're being obnoxious at the staff or doing something illegal in the restaurant. My experience here at McDonalds is no different than the millions of times I've been to while at home in Honolulu, HI or while traveling domestically. This McDonald's is clean and carries good WiFi here. On that Friday afternoon, a group of local area high schoolers decided to come here while I was dining / waiting. While it wasn't much of a distraction, usually would prefer it to be more quiet. It is what it is, I suppose. For the most part though, it was a nice place to spend the afternoon outside my hotel room. If you're in the area, consider this McDonald's as your meal option of choice. If nothing else, the vanilla cone would brighten up your day. The overall experience here at this McDonald's location was decent, okay, and casual. More and more I see inflation of prices for the same product as well as product shrinkage, as you can see in my photo of my Big Mac. Mark this very time and date for the same location i so much praised about a week or two ago. I ordered 1 of the simplest thing you can order from mcds. Just a large fry. Quick to place the order, payed with my watch and waited at the middle window to be parked for a freaking fry! Man so i pray for patience. It was even busy. But i am not waiting 10minutes for my large fry. As i was parked i seen at least 15 cars go past me. I had to get irate and go inside cussing up a storm for a manager to come from the lobby to get me the fries. I would of called but no receipt. Great job today. The McDonald's was torn down and replaced with a brand new one in a matter of months. It's crazy, but before the renovations, this McDonald's was awesome. Never any problems, super quick service, friendly and accommodating. I don't know what happened, but this place bombed hard after the reopen. Maybe they couldn't get the same employees, because it feels as efficient as a toddler room at daycare. We ordered 2 meals in the drivethrough, paid, and were told to wait in spot 1. We waited. And waited. And waited. Cars were pulling up next to us, getting their food and leaving. We told the guy running food we have been obviously sitting here for a while, he said it will be right out. Ten minutes later my husband goes in and has to wait for the food inside, which took another few minutes. He told the team member that next time, we aren't pulling up to the spot to be forgotten about. He gave us a card for a free meal and apologized. Came back, ordered 1 meal today in the drivethrough. They tell us to wait in spot 1 and my husband kindly says no, and explained the situation as last time. Maybe the food took 5 minutes but when you're sitting there holding up the line, it's hard to forget about us. The Bob Marley looking team member was amicable, but pretty anoying. When we got our food he yelled something at us out the window as we drove off, so that was pleasant. McDonald's, you will not do better until you increase your minimum wage, because at this point, there's no incentive for fast food to actually be fast. Let me start off by saying I do not as a rule eat fast food. Ever. I came here tonight on a request from my young daughter...and well...when puppy dog eyes meet zero motivation to cook dinner, this is what happens. Cue the Golden Arches. Why? Because according to my 7 yr old, "they have the most delicious food ever and you get prizes!" Well shoot! What's not to love? I won't bore you with the menu and this and that because let's face it, Mickey D's is the master of replication. What I will tell you about is the stellar salad I got and the outstanding service. If you're looking to cut calories while going to this fast food chain look no further than the Southwest Salad with grilled chicken- just go light on the dressing..I don't care what that packet says, it's not 1 serving, it's 2 so dress those leaves accordingly. Like, no joke, this salad can compete with the big boys for a fraction of the price. So as I was knee deep in my greens and enjoying fascinating conversation about who stepped on whose foot during gym class today at school, the manager walks over to our table and compliments my daughter on "taking mom out to dinner". She then proceeds to offer us (after asking permission of course) ice cream cones on the house because "what good is dinner without dessert?" After she walked away I began to pay more attention to the front of the house area.. this manager really loves, and I mean loves her staff. I am not sure if it was there own food package or not. Very disturbing to witness a half eaten fry put back in a sleeve and put in a bag. I was truly disgusted. .
